Catalytic converter is reported to me as needing to be replaced. Check Engine light came on which indicated this error. It’s only at 84k miles. Followed by needing new O2 sensors if the catalytic converter is replaced. Another error was the thermostat which needs replacement. We are looking at over $5k in repairs.

I was told they would send someone to inspect, but after many times calling, they said insurance needed to inspect. On October 1, Insurance looked at car and did car fax and found no reason for air bag to explode. They had already given me case number but finally a case manager, named Ilene, answered and said to take to dealership on October 24 for inspection and test. I spoke with guy at dealership and he said because car does not need to be driven, I could leave there and they would lock up. I have called again many times trying to find out when car will be fixed and she is not returning my calls. It has been 3 more weeks since dropping off at dealership. It is going on 4 months without car. This could have been a death complaint instead of needing repair. He was fortunate that his left arm was really red and no other harm. There was not a recall on his vin but common sense is air bag is for safety when hitting something to protect individual. Looking on line, there are other complaints with 2011 Civic. The Engine Power Reduced Sensor came on and the gas pedal was hard to push so we took the car to a Chevy Dealership. We were told the code po299 was showing and that the turbo needs to be replaced ($4000). This is a VERY common problem and Chevy even acknowledges that but they are doing nothing about it.

There was little time to react as it hit the side of a building and airbags deployed. Driver stated that the car accelerated on it's own once it was put into gear.

April 18, back to dealer same issue at 14,145 miles. Extensive repairs performed on hybrid system. April 24 with 14,303, same issue. Received vehicle back on June 20, 2025. [XXX], another occurrence with 15,645. This time the vehicle would not shut down by the FOB but would not function at all, though the dash stated put vehicle in park, but it was in park.. Ackerman Towing of Macon, GA attempted to tow vehicle, but the parking brake would not release nor would the transmission shift into neutral. After 3 hours, vehicle finally shut down and restarted. Back to Chrysler. Received vehicle back Aug 13. They could not find a problem. [XXX] enroute to VA Beach. Same issue at 17,750 miles on [XXX] outside of Lumberton, NC. Restarted after a few minutes. Continued trip. I feel this problem of shutting down is a death trap. Losing all power including outside lights could easily become catastrophic, especially if it happened after dark. Multiple warning lights came on (ABS, ESC, brake system, check engine), the accelerator pedal became unresponsive, a burning smell came from the vehicle, and I temporarily lost control. I could not pull over immediately due to traffic, which created a very dangerous situation. The vehicle eventually became undriveable and required towing. I am thankful my children were not in the car. This is an extreme safety hazard. Stellantis still has no parts available and has not provided a repair or transportation option. This forces owners to choose between parking their vehicle indefinitely or driving a known unsafe vehicle. While driving at approximately 70MPH on the highway, my 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited suddenly locked up with no warning lights, no noise and no prior symptoms. The engine completely seized, causing immediate loss of power. I was barely able to coast off the highway exit to a final stop on the feeder shoulder, in a desolate area. Upon research, I learned that Hyundai has known of internal engine defects caused by metallic debris left from manufacturing since 2010, which can cause bearing failure and engine seizure. My Tucson's failure matches the same pattern described in Hyundai's Theta II engine recall and warranty extension campaigns. This sudden failure created an extremely dangerous situation at highway speed and possibility of injury while being stranded on an open road. Many owners, myself included, were never properly notified of the risks. I am filing this report because this incident represents a serious safety defect and potential recurrence among similar vehicles that may not yet be covered by recall. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate this issue and ensure Hyundai expands its recall and warranty coverage to include affected 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited vehicles exhibiting this defect that was well-known to the Hyundai Corporation. My vehicle coasted to a stop after which I was able to carefully pull off to the side of the road. My truck was deemed drivable at the time after the accident but I noticed that the pedal is spongy and it took pumping the brakes to get them to apply. I almost had another accident around 10:30 AM, when coming to a stop behind several other vehicles. Again I applied the brakes and they went to the floor. The truck very slowly came to a stop, finally stopping 5 feet from the rear of the car in front of me. This was extremely nerve racking because I thought I was about to have another accident. After talking with my insurance company, they deemed the truck unsafe to drive and had it towed to the repair shop. Additionally, back during a trip to California from September 28 to October 15. We were towing our 2024 East to West Alta Travel Trailer. During the trip I noticed very sporadically the trailer brakes would apply to much or more often appear to not apply the trailer brakes at all. Multiple time I had to use the manual brake booter switch in order to stop the truck. I believe that this issue with the brakes was actually beginning during that trip. I also have done some research and there appears to be several other complaints with the same model year 2024 Ram 2500. When I get my truck back from being repaired I am scarred of it not braking and getting involved in another accident. Something needs to be done before any serious injury or death occurs.Read more

The dash gauge display is developing bubbles and cracks in the display screen. It’s becoming difficult to monitor gauges on screen. Confirmed by Fliner dealer. Took in for inspection. Seeing multiple display failures on rv units. First appeared March 2025

While driving on highway, message appeared on dashboard display "Stop Safely, Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon". This has happened on 2 separate occasions without cause. First time was 3/11/2024 and most recent was 12/1/2024. Vehicle was leased new by me. No incidents since then.

While driving the car- the front end started to shake and the check engine light came on. Took it to our local Ford dealership and the advised that it was a cylinder 2 misfire when they diagnosed. They advised that the engine block is porous and the coolant slowly leaks into the engine which is causing the misfire. Called Ford's customer assistance line and since the car is out of warranty- and
... there are no open recalls, that they will not cover the $9100.00 new engine repair. Our car is a 2017 Ford Escape Titanium- with approx 82k miles. We purchased the car as a certified pre-owned in 2021- and have had no prior issues. We did not purchase any extended warranty. We were advised that the car isn't safe to drive due to the engine misfire.Read more
