On July 26 when starting the car the entire dash lit up and all possible dash lights began to flash, the RPMs would go up and down, speedometer would move up and down. It literally looked possessed. Turned back on and drove the mile home (13 miles to dealership). Next day we again brought it into the dealership and the car made it. They were unable to duplicate and stated there were 100's of codes and they don't know where to begin. The dealership sent me home. Almost a month later exactly the vehicle went crazy. This time I grabbed my cell phone and recorded it. Turned the car off and had it towed to the dealership. It did not do it again. They have had it now going on over two weeks and are unable to duplicate the issue. Again, they stated there are 100s of codes and don't know where to start. The car is not safe for driving. Once the dash goes crazy all control is lost. We have an extended warranty. We love the features of the car, but with five kids we do not feel safe driving it on the highway until they look into this. I have read at least two others with similar issues, but the dealership says they only work with Chrysler Engineering and don't look at other websites. VERY FRUSTRATED.Read more

I have viewed the Chrysler Owner Forum and found many complaints of this occurance on Pacifica modesl since 2017. Most suggest it is a software problem. No component failed. My safety and the safety of others are at risk for the sudden increase in speed and demand for increased heavy braking. I have not contact the dealer since I have read all the prior Pacfica complaints and I believe Chrysler knows of the problem. No one has inspected the vehicle. No warnings are presented prior to the sudden accelleration. My vehicle can demonstrate this fault at any time or place.Read more

We were about to turn left onto a busy highway. Pulled into traffic and vehicle stalled with 2 adults and 4 children in the car. While stuck in the middle of the high way with oncoming traffic from both sides we started honking the horn and waving traffic to stop. We refuse to drive vehicle again and take the chance of killing our family. After many conversations with Chrysler care we are 3 weeks out from incident and they have been of no help. This vehicle is not safe to be driven. After reading many forums there are many complaints of this recall not fixing the issue. Chrysler needs to be held accountable. We barely missed hitting the car in front of us. We drove immediately to the dealership and left the van with them until our appointment time. The part needed to fix it (Brake Booster) is on backorder and our van will now be sitting at the dealership for who knows how long. There were no warning lights on the car, so I did not suspect the issue was this bad. The hissing had only began less than two weeks prior. While driving the steering locks up and a message comes on that says power steering unavailable. It does not happen every time but lately it has been more frequent. This prevents me from steering and I have to try to pull off the road to shut the vehicle off and restart it. It is difficult to steer on a curve when your steering is locked up. This has happened at various speeds.

Service department on 9/3/21 stated passenger seat wiring harness for airbags was defective and required replacement, Chrysler part #68395045-AA. The transmission refused to shift lower, and the control of the vehicle turned on oa wrestling match and the tachometer surged from 1500 RPM, them 3000 RPM, then 4500 RPM, and then 6000 RPM, each time the vehicle acting like it was repeatedly being rear-ended at a speed exceeding 15 MPH. The engine could not be disengaged and aceelaretd uncontrollably to over 40 MPH, through a busy intersection, and required over 24 hard break stages over a 10 second period to actually stop the car, and the engine refused to disengage until stopped. Once the car was restarted it immediately surged forward trying to fight through the hard applied brakes. The cruise control was never on the entire time. I then stut down the engine once I was able to wretle it to a stop with the engine climbing to over 4500 RPM. I then took this vehicle to a safe area, and repeated the conditions, and again as the vehilce speed dropped below 15 MPH, and certainly below 10 MPH, the egine tachometer increased in steps of 1500 MPH, 3000, 4500, 6000 RPM, and no control could be achieved other then violently "stabbing" the brake pedal. Under controlled conditions the behavior was repeatable over 20 times. This is a life threatenign defect, and it appears to be software in origin. So , when I am finishing a call and I try to hang up, it freezes the screen up. When this happens the call counter on the screen is still going like I am on the call when I am not. I have to disconnect my phone in order to use it. The A/C lines that go to the rear are defective. It wouldn't be such a big problem but, it causes all the A/C components to not work/fail. While driving our 2021 Chrysler Pacifica PHEV in EV on the highway, at speed of 65 mph, the vehicle lost power and the accelerator pedal became unresponsive. ... er failed while driving at highway speed, this has occurred 3 times in the past few weeks. After losing power, the vehicle can only coast using it's own momentum. The steering and braking functions remained operable, so the driver was able to steer the car to change lanes (while losing speed) to get to the shoulder. This UNSAFE for my family because vehicle is at risk of being rear ended while on the highway. This is unsafe for anyone in the vehicle directly behind my vehicle. After the 2nd incident of losing power while on highway, I made an appointment with local Chrysler Dealer's service department. They inspected the vehicle and, as I understand it, they found a message or fault indicator that was somewhat concerning in relation to the electrical system. The service provided a solution by adjusting or tuning something. They did not replace any parts. Three days after the service was done, the problem occurred again; again, my vehicle lost power while going ~65mph on the highway. I called local chrysler service and left message with them today, requesting another service appointment. When they call me back I will request Chrysler to report this as a safety issue.Read more
