When accelerating slowly from a dead stop, the transmission will sometimes hesitate/ pause to shift and then shift with a hard bang. Most often this happens while accelerating in the 10-20 mph range but will sometimes happen while in the 20-30 mph range. It only happens if accelerating very slow. Quicker acceralation-no problems.

While driving, the vehicle shut off. Steering and brakes were still working, it's already happened 2 times and I was able to coast off the highway. After turning off and on the with the starter button the car starts normally with only the engine light on. There are several other posts on forums of others owners having the same problem.

We were driving on the interstate when the vehicle all of a sudden lost power. We were luckily able to get it to the side of the road, but if there was more traffic, we would not be able to do so. The car was then towed to the dealership and they said they will be replacing the the power inverter. The car has been in the dealership since the October and it is February now.

After I was taking the van home and while i was on the road all the signs came up on the control panel. It has all sorts of warning on the panel as mentioned above. I realized the car had the same issue. It won't let me change the gears and stopped completely when I came home. Then I called the dealer and complained, and they said to bring it back however they won't help me with the towing service. Again aftre 1-2 days the car started so i took to the dealer they said they have found the problem they don't know so Chrysler tech team is working on it. Then after 2 weeks they said they have fixed the car and also test drove . However i came home and after 3-4 more days the car still had same issues. It stopped on the highway in the. I managed to move to the rightmost lane and stopped over there on highway. This was a very scary incident. I gave the van back to the dealer and Chrysler reps again said they wil look at it . However, after 4 th attempt I gave them and brough it back . The problem still persists. With this being such a common issue, why are consumers having to foot such an expensive repair on a seemingly faulty part. I brought it back to the same place and they took my car for the day to see what the issue could be. They gave it back and told me they have no idea why the car keeps shutting off and they have done all they possibly could. This problem could’ve have caused multiple accidents as most of the incidents have resulted of loss of power on the highway. To be going at a steady speed with other cars around you and suddenly shut off can cause everyone including myself to be injured if not worse. This is a common problem among these vehicles as I have read up on and no one has done anything about it. This is scary and something needs to be done. These brand cars are discontinued and I can only imagine why. This is ridiculous that I’m risking my life everyday because I don’t know if this will be the day an accident happens. I AM NOW WORRIED THAT THE OTHER 3 MAY BE DEFECTIVE AND I HAVE ALREADY SPENT OVER MY BUGET ON THIS ISSUE. I SPOKE TO JD AT HANKOOK 615-432-0700 WHO SAID SHE WOULD TALK TO HER SUPERVISOR. I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK. I WILL EMAIL THEM A COPY OF PAYMENT PROOF AND PHOTOS OF THE TIRES. BUT SHE STATED THAT IF TIRES PLS WAS NOT SENDING THE TIRE, THEY COULD NOT REFUND ME. The drivers side front door window spontaneously shattered while driving. It was not hit by a rock or other object. This happened again three weeks later to the drivers side rear door window that I will report in a separate incident.
