On or about February 17, 2022, the referenced 300C was taken to Elk Grove Chrysler due to a malfunction with the electronic shift. The car jumped into Park while in motion which was a Safety risk to others as well as myself. After consulting with service team, I was informed that the car had to undergo a diagnostic. A day later I was informed that there was a fault with the electronic shift whi
... ch required repaired; however, parts were not in stock at this location. I was informed parts had to be ordered and would take approximately 2-3 weeks due to logistical issues. On Monday, February 28, 2022, technician reported that a part was received for the upper mechanism; however, it was determined that the lower mechanism needed repair. With this being said, these are the concerns I would like to address due to disagreement with the process. 1. This electronic shift was previously repaired in May 2014, due to recall. This issue could have resulted in a major safety issue. 2. Why is a Consumer paying for a "Repair to a Repair?" 3. As a Consumer with a low mileage vehicle under 59,000, why must I be responsible to pay Chrysler for a repair that is a "Safety Issue" and a factory recall issue. Obviously, this is a manufacture concern created by Chrysler. This was due to no fault of the consumer. In closing, as a Disabled widowed Senior Citizen having the car jump into parking during my travels affected my anxiety; causing a panic attack. This repair issue is affecting my health and livelihood. I have been without a vehicle and a means to take care of quality of life tasks. Thank you for your time and attention to my concern.Read more

The vehicle's LCD screen has become delaminated which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to at
... tend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.). This appears from Chrysler Forums to be an issue among a large group of Chrysler 300 Year Model 2017-19 owners. I am encouraging them to file a concern with your group and to ask for a recall of the car for this reason.Read more

This is in regard to the most recent recall on the 2018 Chrysler Pacific Hybrids. The entire reason that we purchased this vehicle, was so that we did not have to spend money on gas, as well as for the environment. It is unacceptable that we are expected to sit and wait with a major potential fire hazard. We live in a gated community where we cannot park the vehicle away from our home. We have a s
... hort driveway and my 67 year old Mother sleeps in the room RIGHT next to the driveway. We are not okay just accepting this as it is and think it is completely wrong that people just have to "hope it doesn't catch on fire." This is also already the second or third recall on the vehicle.Read more

On February 10, 2022 at about 4:30 in the afternoon, my wife and I had just merged onto the 101 at Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Arizona. We had not gone far when we heard a loud explosion. It sounded like a ballon popping but at least 10 time louder. It sounded like it came from inside the car and there was no indication (wobble, hard steering, etc.) that it may have been a tire. My wife was dri
... ving so I began to see if I could spot any sign that would tell us what it was - nothing. Soon we felt air rushing into the cabin. I thought the sunroof may have popped open for some reason. It is a power operated sunroof so I pressed the control switch to pull back the ceiling cover and open the sunroof. When I did that shattered glass came pouring down on us. After getting it closed I called 911 and was put in contact with the Scottsdale police. They told me to call the State Police but because no one was injured it may take a long time for someone to contact us. We continued on to our house in Mesa. The next morning I contacted the Chrysler dealership in Mesa that I bought the car from. I was told to bring it in and it would be covered under warranty. I've had the car about 10 months and it has about 7,700 miles on it. Turns out Chrysler won't cover it under warranty. I have had it repaired at a cost of $842.45. I'm not sure at this time how much of the cost I will have to pay. An article by Consumer Reports identifies this as a widespread safety issue that the car manufactures want to ignore and that our government is doing little about. I can't imaging what our reaction would have been if the ceiling cover had been pulled back. Basically the explosion and the glass scattering all over us would have happened at the same time. I can easily relate to someone losing control of the car while traveling in heavy traffic at 65 MPH. Let's hope no one dies before this is resolved. And the cost of repairs must be paid by the car manufactures not the car owners.Read more

THE 2016 CHRYSLER 200 has a defect in it , the drain hoses become plugged and flood the interior of the car. There is no easy way to access these hoses without taking apart the cowl under the hood of the car and removing the windshield wipers to access the drain. It has happened now three times costing 500 each time to have it cleaned and blown out ... There needs to be something done about this .
... As it can cause electrical problems in the car with all the water that floods in through the heater area... Chrysler is well aware of this problem all the way back to the Sebring yet they have done nothing to correct it . They ever tell the buyer that this need to be cleaned and they really provide no access to the owner to clean the area without disassemble of the cowl area and windshield wipers. Which is more than most buyers can do , when you take it to Chrysler they tell you its Maintenace . Yet it is no where in the book Nore covered by their Maintenace package. It will rot out the car Floor boards and will cause the car to be worth less .... Chrysler should have to make this right with all owners either offering a free cleaning every year of a rebate on their vehicleRead more

Vehicle was parked with engine / ignition off and directly after a brief warm-up and approximate 5 mile drive. Returned to vehicle after approximately 10 minutes in store.
