Incident date: Oct 15, 2025
Issue was first noticed in October 2025 - there are roughly 70k miles on the vehicle. It is a 2017 vehicle, and has regular service (oil, inspection). There was a class action lawsuit for this issue (wylie v hyundai), which was settled prior to the purchase of the vehicle. Vehicle stutters when shifting into and out of first gear. A local mechanic and hyundai both confirmed that it was a transmiss
... ion defect. The Hyundai dealership initially thought it was an actuator issue, but has since said that it is a faulty gear assembly. it has a DCT (dual clutch transmission). Vehicle suddenly stops and is erratic when driving. Coming out of a stop risks the vehicle shuddering; going through an intersection or turning cross traffic is extremely dangerous as the vehicle could stop momentarily and cause a collision. Vehicle is unable to maintain flow of traffic. The problem appears to be widespread - there are various forums we found where others have this same issue. There were no warnings on the dashboard prior to the issue. When issue appeared a check engine light was displayed.Read more

Started the vehicle and while pulling down the driveway the power steering suddenly went completely out. Warning lights began flashing and I was unable to steer vehicle. I parked the vehicle waiting for appointment from dealer, and upon starting the vehicle, power steering returned, however a check engine fault light remained. The dealer found "many DTCS communication loss codes again", but stated nothing further they could do with the these factory defects at just 26,000 miles. Continuing saga of HCU failures. First identified years ago, i follow up with dealer monthly. Latest call last Friday, they advised no solution or timeline for repair provided by FCA. Impact is loss of ABS (reduced braking safety), loss of control of trailer electronic brakes (increased risk while towing a trailer), incessant audio warning alarms (distracts driver), and loss of other systems (c

I do have maintenance records identifying the problem with my vehicle if needed.Read more

UNKNOWN Dear Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. Consumer Affairs Department: I am writing to formally demand a full buyback and refund for the above-referenced 2025 Toyota Sienna (the "Vehicle") under the Arkansas New Motor Vehicle Quality Assurance Act (the "Arkansas Lemon Law"), Ark. Code Ann. §§ 4-90-401 et seq. The Vehicle is subject to a critical safety recall (25TA12, with interim notice 25
... TB12) involving improperly welded second-row seat rails, which poses a substantial risk to the safety of myself, my passengers, and others on the road. As of the date of this letter, Toyota has issued no remedy for this defect and provided no estimated timeframe for when a repair will become available. This renders the Vehicle unusable for its intended business purpose and out of service indefinitely, in violation of the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, as well as the express warranties provided with the Vehicle. Background and Defect: I purchased the vehicle on [XXX], new from Landers Toyota NWA, Rogers AR for $49,058. The Vehicle has been registered and primarily used in Arkansas since acquisition. On or about October 7, 2025, Toyota issued Recall 25TA12, notifying owners that the second-row seats in certain 2025 Sienna models, including my VIN , are mounted on seat rails that may have been improperly welded. This defect could cause the seats to detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury or death. An interim notice (25TB12) followed, confirming the issue but explicitly stating that no repair remedy is currently available and no loaner vehicles or temporary fixes are being provided. Since receiving notice of the recall, the Vehicle has been effectively out of service for safe operation. I cannot, in good conscience, use this vehicle with a known safety defect that compromises occupant protection in the event of an accident. Toyota has failed to provide any repair, temporary solution, or estimated completion date, leaving me without a functional vehicle for commercial puRead more

A slow coolant leak is draining the coolant from the reservoir into the engine. This has happened twice now and no external leaks can be found. The first instance in June 2021 was on a trip from Goldsboro, NC to Antigo, WI. We made it to Chicago and noticed the engine temp climbing. We thought it was due to the trip and heat but had just stopped in Ohio the day prior. We took the vehicle to a loca
... l shop and they told us the coolant was nearly gone. The second time happened just [XXX] when I took my Pacifica in for an oil change. The shop stated my coolant was very low and they had to fill it up. They again found no visible external leak. I had noticed that it was low as well the day prior after getting home and knowing the shop is less than 2 miles away I knew I could get the van there safely. I did notice the temperature going up quickly even though it has been bitterly cold the last few days. I've been doing research and found many Pacifica and other online forums stating this issue had led to engine failures totaling repair costs in excess of $5,000 as of 2023 before continued inflation. This poses a huge safety risk for motorists if the engine fails while in transit as well as during extreme weather both cold and hot. Please hold the manufacturer accountable to fix this common defect for those of us who cannot afford a new vehicle. While driving at approximately 65 mph on I-35 in moderate traffic, my vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power. I was positioned in the far-left passing lane at the time of the incident. A vague notification message appeared on the dashboard screen; however, there was no accompanying audible warning tone to alert me to the severity of the issue before power was lost. The fai
... lure was identified as a malfunction in the hybrid drive motor system, specifically triggering Diagnostic Trouble Code P0A43 (Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent). This sensor circuit failure caused the high-voltage system to shut down unexpectedly. This created a severe safety hazard, as the vehicle was rendered unable to accelerate. I was forced to navigate from the far-left lane across multiple lanes of traffic to reach the exit while the vehicle was effectively crippled, moving at speeds under 10 mph amidst highway-speed traffic. The problem has been confirmed via the retrieval of the P0A43 code. There were no warning lamps, messages, or drivability symptoms prior to the immediate failure; the visual notification appeared simultaneously with the loss of power.Read more

Incident date: Dec 10, 2025
While driving at approximately 60 MPH on a highway, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power, stalled, and entered "limp mode," shifting into neutral or a low gear unexpectedly. This failure caused a rapid deceleration in high-speed traffic, effectively disabling the vehicle and creating an immediate safety hazard and risk of collision. The engine stalled completely, requiring the vehicle to be coas
... ted to the emergency shoulder. After a key cycle, the vehicle restarted but the check engine light remained illuminated. Independent diagnostic scanning retrieved Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) U0018 (Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus Short) and P0894 (Transmission Component Slipping). These specific codes and symptoms (intermittent electrical short causing stall/shift-to-neutral) are identical to the safety defects addressed in NHTSA Recall 15V-470 (FCA Recall R24 - Power Distribution Center Electrical Connector) and NHTSA 16V-529 (FCA Recall S55 - Transaxle Wiring Harness). Although records indicate Recall R24 was marked as "completed" on this vehicle in July 2015, the specific safety defect has recurred, presenting the exact same failure mode. The Authorized Dealer was contacted regarding the recurrence of this safety defect but refused to perform a no-charge inspection, citing an expired repair warranty. The Manufacturer (FCA US LLC) was also contacted to report the recurring safety failure but refused to open a case or authorize a diagnostic inspection, despite the life-threatening nature of the defect. The component and vehicle are available for inspection. The failure has not been resolved.Read more

I am reporting a repeated safety-related defect involving exhaust intrusion into the cabin of my 2022 Volkswagen Taos. The vehicle experienced loss of power, coolant loss, and engine warning indicators, and was serviced twice by Volkswagen Southtowne in Sandy, Utah. First Incident – Vehicle Returned as “Safe to Drive” During the first repair visit, the dealer diagnosed issues involving the
... manifold/exhaust area, head gasket, coolant system, and catalytic converter. After keeping the vehicle for an extended period, the dealership informed me the vehicle was “safe to drive,” although the repair was not fully completed. I relied on this representation. After the vehicle was returned to me, I began experiencing significant physical symptoms only while driving the vehicle, including nausea, dizziness, and vomiting. These symptoms occurred repeatedly during operation and would subside after leaving the vehicle. At the time, I did not understand that these symptoms were caused by exhaust entering the cabin. Second Incident – Defect Confirmed and Additional Repairs Performed Weeks later, the symptoms persisted and I returned the vehicle to the same dealership. At this second visit, the dealer reported coolant leakage and additional gasket failures. They removed the cylinder head, replaced gaskets, and performed additional exhaust-related repairs. I was provided a loaner vehicle during this extended repair. After this second repair, the symptoms while driving stopped. Safety Concern Based on the timing of symptoms, the repair records, and the resolution following the second repair, I believe that exhaust gases were entering the cabin of the vehicle during normal operation for an extended period. This created a significant safety hazard. I was repeatedly assured the vehicle was “safe to drive” when it was not. I unknowingly operated the vehicle while being exposed to exhaust fumes for several months. The condition caused physical illness, impaired my ability.Read more

Vehicle experienced sudden and complete loss of engine power while driving in active NYC traffic. Without any warning lights or prior symptoms, the engine shut off mid-motion, the accelerator became unresponsive, and the car stopped moving in the middle of a busy roadway. I lost all propulsion and had to activate hazard lights while stuck in live traffic. This created a severe safety hazard for m
... e and surrounding vehicles. The vehicle could not be safely moved, and no police or roadside support was able to reach me for over an hour. This incident placed me at high risk of being struck by oncoming traffic. This is the second major failure with this vehicle. On Day 2 of my lease, the car experienced multiple system malfunctions related to an open recall, causing the vehicle to fail on the highway. That recall repair did not prevent this new failure. After this most recent incident, AAA diagnostics showed the vehicle was not drivable, and the dealership later informed me that the failure involves a deeper fuel system/high-pressure pump issue. They stated there is no guarantee the vehicle will operate normally even after repair, yet on 12/10/25 they attempted to return the car to me and told me to continue driving it despite knowing the defect is safety-related. As of today, I have been without a safe vehicle for over 10 days, and neither the dealership nor Honda Corporate has provided a loaner or safe transportation. My initial safety case with Honda was also prematurely closed without my knowledge, and multiple attempts to escalate to a supervisor were unsuccessful or delayed. A vehicle that stalls without warning at speed is an extreme safety hazard, and this defect remains unresolved. I am reporting this because the vehicle has failed twice under dangerous conditions, and the manufacturer has not ensured that the vehicle is safe to operate.Read more

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse includes Front Pedestrian Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Braking as part of its standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). However, these systems tend to malfunction on rainy days when the sensors become wet. In such conditions, the vehicle may brake abruptly even when there are no hazards in front or behind. For example, while attempting to drive around a vehi
... cle waiting to make a left turn at an intersection, my Traverse suddenly stopped in the middle of the intersection, incorrectly detecting a potential collision. Another frequent issue occurs when backing out of my driveway on rainy days. The system applies the brakes, mistaking raindrops for obstacles. Due to these recurring problems, I have deactivated the safety systems and now drive without them enabled. This situation not only creates inconvenience for me as a driver but also poses risks to other road users if the vehicle stops unexpectedly in traffic. Additionally, repeated hard braking can lead to premature wear of braking components.Read more

The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the accelerator pedal assembly and the main computer had produced fault codes, but the dealer later stated that there were no codes. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and a case was opened but was later closed. The failure mileage was 41,607.Read more

I had the recall for 73B performed in mid October to my 2017 EV/Hybrid Pacifica- 2017 and only 67K miles. No issues before. Since the recall service I’ve brought it in twice with the same problems stating Hybrid Battery needs conditioning/service. I suspect it’s the recall update that has caused all types of issues. I did go to auto zone before I brought the vehicle in just this Monday to get
... the codes. U0412, P1A29, P0A7F- invalid Data received from Battery energy control Module A - Lost communication with Hybrid Battery Pack Sensor Module- A Deterioration. If you google 73B recall service problems on Chrysler Pacifica - the following appears: Failure to charge and engine light: Some owners have reported that the vehicle no longer charges after the recall service and has a check engine light, with error codes like P0A0A (High Voltage System Interlock Circuit) and P0A7F (Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Deterioration), says Reddit users. Intermittent check engine light: Other owners have noted the check engine light comes on intermittently after the recall service, sometimes disappearing on its own. Battery concerns: Some owners who already had issues with the battery before the recall now report that the recall service did not resolve their problems, and a new, more significant battery issue may have developed. It appears that the issue with the Hybrid battery is not being resolved and the service recall for 73B amplifies issues for the Hybrid Pacifica Models. It may be a ploy from Chrysler for owners to get “rid,” of our vans. I’m contacting the lawyers of the class action lawsuit with this information. It’s so unreasonable for Chrysler to do this and not offer further support. The time, stress, anxiety and loss of a proper running vehicle has really impacted my family.Read more

The wheels on the Honda Accord stick out further than the tires thus get scuffed up easily. I had them repaired once shortly after purchasing the car but it was pointless. I believe everyone who has driven the car has damaged the wheels further by accidentally hitting a curb.

The front driver's side tire on my 2023 Chrysler Pacifica (77600 miles as of 12/1/25) has started making a loud rumbling sound regardless of my speed. This is my only mode of transportation and I am gravely concerned the wheel may indeed fly off the car and as a precaution I am driving slower than the speed limit on roads causing other drivers to become frustrated and close to hitting the back of my van.
