I was driving 70 miles an hour, in the left lane ,in heavy traffic on I -75 when I suddenly lost all power. A warning flashed on the screen saying to service charging system. I barely avoided a collision trying to get off the highway. I could has easily collided with another car since I had no power and I had to cross lanes of traffic in order to get off the road.

There are multiple things but here are a few i thought my wife was crazy until i started to drive it. 1. The steering feels like it gets stuck its not Major but it is a slight tug and it does it at random. 2. The trunk opens own its own (it has done this 2 times while i was driving) my wife says it has happened to her 1 other time as well. 3. The sliding doors will open and close on freely like so
... mething is caught in the track however the tracks are clean and it will bounce open close. 4. The Gas pedal sticks not engaged but when you press the gas nothing will happen then all of the sudden the RPMs will skyrocket 5. Cruise control works great if your on a flat road but if you get on a slight hill your either getting all the RPMs or it turns it off 6. The Auto Stop start thing stopped working and the light stays on but that's fine I didn't like the stop start thing anyway. 7. I did change a battery and it helped with the dash lights not looking like a Christmas program 8. the AC went out after the car had one of the RPM fits then the AC stopped. how does that make sense 9. overall i think the car is having some type of electrical issue or it has a mind of its own. Ive gone to mechanics and they all just do the same shoulder shrug. i have a appointment with a dealership but they are so back logged its disappointing.Read more

Recall Z11 was announced in early February 2022 due to fire risk which prompted Chrysler to issue a recommendation that owners not charge their plug-in hybrid Pacifica Hybrids and to park them outside until the fix was completed. More than six months have passed without subsequent update to resolve this recall, and not only is no part or remedy identified, the underlying cause has yet to be ident
... ified. This is after two previous recalls, U94 in October 2018 and W46 in June 2020, which were also announced by Chrysler due to fire risk for the Pacifica Hybrid. Chrysler's guidance of parking the vehicle outside and not plugging it in to charge is unsatisfactory and illogical. The normal operation of the plug-in hybrid system leads to the gasoline engine and regenerative braking charging the high-voltage battery during its "Hybrid Mode" operation even when the vehicle has not been plugged in to charge the high-voltage battery. Based upon other recent fire risk recalls related to vehicles with high-voltage batteries such as the Chevrolet Bolt EV--which has led to numerous manufacturer repurchases and complete battery replacement for all affected models--Chrysler's response is neither timely nor sufficient. It is past time that definitive resolution be provided to owners of vans that have already been affected by two prior fire risk recalls and now have been waiting six months with recommendation to not use the vehicle as designed, marketed, and advertised at the time of sell. Given the unresolved nature of recall Z11, I request action be taken to require manufacturer buybacks of the affected products at this time.Read more

The passenger right side sliding door locking mechanism has failed. It makes a very loud rattling / ratcheting sound when the door closes automatically. No warning lamps or messages indicating a failure. Date first noticed was June 22, 2022. The problem was reproduced and confirmed by an independent service center. We have been told the local Chrysler Dealer is backed up for months due to lack of
... Service Staff. The concern is for the safety of passengers in that the lock is not working properly and the door could open or possibly jam in an accident situation. We have been informed by others in the community that the Dealer has been known to confiscate vehicles that have recalls that they do not have parts or people to repair. Vehicles are kept behind a locked fence. This seems illegal. This vehicle is needed and can't be given up or seized by a dealer. No loaner vehicles.Read more

My wife and I were driving on HWY 101 at 11pm at night while camping, were headed to the ER as I had just cut my hand with a hachet. While driving, all of a sudden an error light on the dash appeared reading "Service Charging System," the accelerator no longer delivered power, and the car began quickly slowing down. Luckily, I was able to move to the shoulder and stop the van. The Pacifica remain
... ed on with all systems working (radio, lights, etc), but the car accelerator would not deliver power. The car would not fully turn off after pressing the ingintion button. Opening and closing the driver side door allowed for the van to be turned off and then back on, it started again and was driveable. We were able to drive the car to the ER and back to the campsite. The problem has not yet re-occurred. It has not been seen by the dealer center yet, but has an appointment scheduled. Driving at night in the mountains with a vehicle that loses all power while traveling at highway speeds is extremely dangerous and disturbing.Read more
