The dealership failed to correctly implement the Z11 recall after I informed them that I had doubts that the recall was performed properly. The first time that the recall was attempted, they returned the vehicle with 0% charge on the batteries. This indicated that they did not fully perform the recall per the instruction. The second time they attempted the recall, they were not able to charge the

When they informed me that the vehicle was ready I was skeptical that the recall was fully performed since the amount of time between the failure to charge and it being ready was far too short to perform the recall properly. Today I was informed by Chrysler that the recall was indeed improperly performed. Chrysler put my family and home at risk through their ineptitude and carelessness when performing their own recall.Read more

The lifters and tappets in the 3.6L Chrysler V6 become prematurely worn, interfering with the engine’s ability to provide power to the vehicle while driving. On Sunday, 12/4/2022, I went on a few errands not intending to drive very far on the highway since most of my stops were local. I entered the I-94 west bound from Moorland Rd in Brookfield WI and drove about 1 mile reaching about 65 mph during the busy traffic hours. The car suddenly stalled and I lost all ability to accelerate the vehicle. The brakes and steering wheel still worked fine. The dash
... was displaying a message: "Service charging system. Shift to P to start." Thankfully, I was in the right lane and the shoulder was clear. I was able to pull onto the shoulder and come to a controlled stop. I put the vehicle in Stop but when I pressed the off button, it would not switch to off and remained in the "run" mode. I tried several times for a few minutes without any success. I waited a minute and then tried again. This time, the vehicle was able to switch to "OFF" mode. I was able to start the car normally without any "System charging system" error coming on. I decided to return home immediately using local roads only. I no longer trust my vehicle on the highway - even if it is only for a short distance on the highway.Read more

Very concerning considering relevtivly low milleage and potential ongoing engine concerns. What started as an intermittent crank / no start issue quickly progressed to complete failure of fuel pump relay that is part of TIPM. During the first crank no start issue on the day in question I was able to use remote start and the vehicle started normally. (Probably do to slightly higher system voltage as some accessories are turned off during remote start vs pushbutton start). Later the same

This could be a major inconvenience for many, but in the harsh Minnesota winters it's more than just inconvenient when you have a wife and young kids in a vehicle away from home that will not start when air temps are in the single digits and wind chill is far below zero. Fortunately / sadly, this is such a common problem that I was able to diagnose it rather quickly with Google, but not before getting a frostbitten finger. I was able to bypass this fuel pump relay by forcing a paper clip into fuse holder M37 and getting keyed power from an alternative source, fuse M25. I don't, however, recommend this fix. What I do recommend is that Chrysler Corporation expand the recall of affected vehicles with this TIPM to include ALL vehicles that this was installed in. In hindsight, a totally unexplained, drained battery overnight while hundreds of miles from home was probably my first sign of this failing relay as it most likely stuck on forcing fuel pump to stay running with ignition off. This occurred 26 days prior to my crank / no start issue. After jump starting and fully charging, battery was tested and passed. Battery resting voltage tested day after crank / no start issue is 12.8V. If I remove relay jumper, crank no start persists.Read more

I was driving my Pacifica 2018 on the road when suddenly I heard a beep, I looked at the dashboard, it had a red light indicating that my car is overheated, my kids were panicking, hoping it shouldn't start burning. I couldn't stop on the highway because of passing cars. it was towed in to the dealer, I got a phone call that I need a new engine... I had no prior indications of any problem.
