The truck randomly smells very strong of raw fuel in the cabin and sometimes exhaust as well. This typically happens more after refueling as well as after 30+ minute drives and then idling at a stop light for example. There are no visual leaks of the fuel system. Again we were told that the item was not available from GM and we would be contacted when more information was available. A SPAC case was created by our dealer in October of 2022, notifying the system of the urgent need and our dealer has followed up numerous times that GM has not provided any timeline for replacement. I have also filed a separate claim in January of 2023 to GM customer service notifying them of the ongoing issue and escalating to upper management. I have not heard back on mitigation or rectification plan for our issue. This ongoing issue is a major safety concern that has rendered my vehicle unfit for operation. I am unsure why GM is not making this major safety concern a priority because we are now in the middle of a Chicago winter we’re temperatures are regularly below freezing. I cannot defrost my windows or maintain a safe cabin temperature. This is unsafe for me to operate let alone use the vehicle to transport my child because of the immediate danger it would place her and I in. I am now paying for a vehicle that has sat inoperable in my driveway for 4+ months with no end in site and opening is up to additional damages because it has had to remain inoperable for an extended period of time.Read more

Odometer reading at the time of the purchase is 45,450 miles. Sale price is $35,777.84. Our BMW 750LI was vocationally used, and mostly garaged, from 2009-2011, in New Jersey; and completely garaged, from 2011-2014, in New Jersey. The vehicle was vocationally used, from 2014-2019, in Chicago. Since 2019, the vehicle has been repaired in shops for electric and transmission failures: 3 years by Bridgeport Transmission (930 W 31st Street, Chicago, IL 60608, Tel 312 842-1887, Richard, the owner), and now already 6 months with Field BMW Northfield (700 Frontage Road, Northfield, IL 60093, Tel: 847-441-5300 x 8396, Chris Goodrich, the service advisor). Except for the electric and transmission issues, our vehicle is in wonderful condition. The body looks new. The current odometer reading is 92,000 miles. Since 2019, we have spent $1,500 for battery (as it was first suspected of the issue) by Field BMW Northfield, $6,500 for electric and transmission by Bridgeport Transmission, $650 for programming by a BMW dealership, and $5,350 for DSC control unit, and multiple tows 4 x $350 = $1,400. I have a 2021 Pacifica Hybrid in (Vin: 2C4RC1S70MR51943) that has encountered the dreaded "Service Charging System" message 5 times now in the past year, with the past 3 occurrences all happening in the last 3 weeks. On another instance, I was driving and lost all propulsion, the screen indicated "Service Charging System" message. Luckily I was on a local road and not a freeway and I was able to pull into the bike lane, still obstructing 1/2 of the right lane. After 5 minutes of trying to restart the car, I was able to move the car and I drove it to Earnhardt CJDR in Gilbert Arizona. When I got there, the check engine light had disappeared. I dropped off the car and to my disbelief the dealership told me there is nothing they can do if they can not replicate the issue. I am not stuck with a van my wife is afraid to drive due to the imminent threat of the car turning off while driving. I have 2 young children and I do not feel the van is safe in its current condition. Yet, the dealer is unable to resolve/replicate the issue. I have videos displaying the issue along with a screenshot of the OBD error code. It appears the dealership does not care about the safety of my wife and children by not being able to fix this issue. I have done a significant amount of research online and have found this to be a relatively common issue. In my opinion this vehicle is not safe to drive due to the risk of a complete shutdown and I commute on the freeway to and from work and the last thing I need is to have the van disabled on a busy interstate.Read more

Front Half shafts keep failing due to extreme angles of operation where bearing races are spalled as a result and could result in a high speed failure. Have had 3 replacements in 25K miles and will need a 4th replacement. Lowering car to bring halfshafts more geometrically in line improves halfshaft life, but in turn cause significant rear tire wear resulting in potential high speed blow outs.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle independently downshifted while depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, the vehicle independently entered LIMP Mode with the powertrain malfunction warning light illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the nearest exit and turned off the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted and operated normally.

The back windshield just shattered when I closed the drivers door. I looked online and it seems like a known issue and Acura is not taking any responsibility for it.

11-Jan-2023 18:01 CST approximate temperature 47F. Commuting home the vehicle was driven approximately 30 minutes on the highway. Stopped for fast food and it was turned off for less than 10 minutes. Restarted without issue drove out to a stop light to make a left turn. Auto start-stop turned off the engine but failed to restart. ... restart attempts failed. Restarted vehicle with an jump start battery pack. Drove straight to Autozone and battery tested fully charged on printed receipt. Vehicle restarted normally twice in parking lot. Drove home battery tested 12.7 volts with multimeter. I don't suspect that the battery is the issue. The vehicle battery management system should detect a low battery and disable auto start-stop. My preference is not to have to work under the hood in the middle of traffic in the dark.Read more
