The failure involves the Electric Brake Booster (EBB) / brake control system on my 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The malfunction affected brake assist, ABS, Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Brake System Problem,Electric Parking Brake Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System problem,Collision Mitigation System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Hill Start Assist
... problem. The vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request. This failure created a serious safety risk. Braking performance became inconsistent and unpredictable, increasing stopping distance and reducing vehicle control. This condition increased the risk of a crash during normal driving or emergency braking. The problem is persistent and reproducible. Multiple brake-related warning lights reappear every time the vehicle is driven. The symptoms are consistent with Electric Brake Booster failure reported on similar vehicles. Dealer diagnosis is pending / has identified a brake system fault related to the brake booster. The vehicle has not been inspected by Honda corporate. It has been / will be inspected by an authorized dealer or qualified service center. No police or insurance inspection occurred because no crash happened. Warning lamps appeared suddenly while driving, including Brake System, ABS, and VSA warnings. There were no prior symptoms such as noise, vibration, or gradual brake degradation before the failure. Once illuminated, the warnings remained active.Read more

On Monday, December 15, 2025, I was "creeping" into my garage when the brakes failed and I ran into my garage wall damaging my wall and the front of the vehicle. On Tuesday, December 16 ,2025, while slowly pulling into a parking spot at Sam's Club in OKC, the brakes again failed, and the forward crash system prevented running into another vehicle. On that same date while stuck in bumper-to-bumper
... traffic, the brakes again failed, and I was able to pull into the median rather than hitting the car in front of me. That same evening, while backing out of a parking spot at a restaurant, the brakes failed in reverse and again the vehicle reverse crash avoidance system stopped without hitting another vehicle. Later, as I was leaving the parking lot, the brakes failed at the STOP sign, and I was able to turn right in the Merge Lane avoiding hitting another oncoming car. At the very next STOP sign, the brakes failed again, and I was able to get the car into PARK avoiding another head on collision. All these brake failures happened at speeds under 5 mph or barely "creeping" forward or reverse. I drove the car to Cummins Chevy Dealership in Weatherford, OK, the next day and related the issues to them. They gave me a "Loaner" for use until they fixed my car. The Service Manager did ask me if I had "Tagged" my car yet and I said I had. So far, GM and Cummins have been very helpful and understanding. I had no issues "braking" the car at speeds above 5 mph. I have only had this vehicle for 3 weeks when the issues started. I love the vehicle and hope this is only a minor glitch or some bad part that can be replaced. I file this complaint proactively in case it is a bigger problem with this line of vehicles. Thank you.Read more

The engine died in an unexpected earlier timeframe than recall notice. I had to get vehicle towed at my expense as no offers existed for recalls yet to the nearest Ford. This means it sat longer with a dead engine and battery not in use. The battery was brand new before the engine died. After Ford installed a new engine I picked up my vehicle. I now had a new problem. The battery light came on. It
... was late when I picked up my car and the dealership was closing. I notified Ford c/s the next day and they approved to take it back to ANY dealership. There are several Ford dealerships near my home. My 2nd option was Bill Fick Ford. In short I told them my story listed above + recall final engine repair due. Initially there was a female that approved towing and said Ford would help me with towing cost up to $250. The tow truck driver never showed up. I called the tow truck driver the next day and he said he is willing to pickup but will call Ford to confirm. I called Bill Fick Ford several more times for updates. Apparently there was a male there that disapproved. I had called another Ford dealership nearby prior when battery was working asking for help but denied. I am having trouble getting the repairs at any Fords nearby in a timely manner. This April 2026 will be two years since I haven't been able to use this vehicle. Bill Fick Ford told me that I would have to pay for the tow cost. Initially I wasn't going to report but I think it's best to address in case there are others who are having difficulties related to recalls to improve flow. Another dealership is willing to help me. The only issue is is that I will have to pay the remaining balance over $250. This will be 2nd time I pay out of pocket for towing. The difference between Bill Fick Ford and the out of town dealership is the out of town dealership called Ford to confirm approval of tow/repairs and Bill Fick Ford refused to look further and gather the correct info adding more out of pocket cost/delays.Read more

Reporting a failure of the engine cooling system on my 2019 BMW X3 that developed over time despite repeated repair attempts and ultimately resulted in complete engine failure. These issues occurred during normal driving and created unsafe conditions, including the risk of sudden loss of power or breakdown in traffic. Based on my experience and the repeated nature of the failures despite proper maintenance, it appears that coolant and overheating issues may be persistent in this vehicle model rather than isolated to a single component, and I am concerned that other owners may be experiencing similar safety-related defects. I am experiencing severe oil consumption and leakage with my 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan. The low oil level light began coming on weekly, and I have had to add oil nearly every week to keep the engine from running dry. Recently, I noticed oil leaking underneath the vehicle and immediately parked it. After parking, the vehicle began leaking oil excessively. The problem appears related to PCV system fai
... lure, which has caused multiple oil seals to rupture. After researching online, I found many other Tiguan owners reporting the same issues — including PCV valve failure, cracked oil pans, damaged valve seals, and crankshaft seal failures. My vehicle is no longer under the manufacturer’s warranty, and the dealership has not provided a fix. This defect presents a major safety concern because the engine can suddenly lose oil pressure or seize while driving, leading to sudden loss of power or control, which could cause an accident and potential injury. It appears Volkswagen has been aware of similar issues in other model years, but has not issued a recall or permanent repair for this problem. There is currently a class action lawsuit for the exact same issue for 2022 - 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan but doesn't currently include the 2021 Tiguan that I have. On January 28, 2023, my Chevrolet Silverado was involved in a significant multi-impact collision. At the time of the accident, I was a front-seat passenger and my vehicle was fully stopped when it was struck from behind at high speed by a Dodge 2500. The force of the rear impact pushed my truck into the vehicle in front of us, resulting in a secondary front-end collision. This sequence occurred tw
... ice. During the collision, the front passenger-side airbag did not deploy, and the front passenger seatbelt failed to lock. As a result, I was thrown violently within the passenger side of the vehicle and struck my head on the dashboard. In contrast, the driver’s seatbelt locked properly, as did the rear seatbelt where my child was seated. Due to the failure of the passenger-side seatbelt to lock, I sustained a severe concussion, a black eye, and other injuries. The vehicle was subsequently inspected by my insurance company. When sheriff’s deputies and state police arrived at the scene, they expressed concern and surprise that the passenger seatbelt did not lock and that no airbags deployed despite the severity of the collision. Shortly after the accident, I contacted GMC regarding these safety concerns. GMC retrieved the vehicle’s Crash Data Recorder (CDR) and conducted an investigation. I was later informed that GMC found no defects or issues with their products. Nearly three years have passed since the accident, and I remain deeply concerned and dissatisfied with GMC’s conclusion. The passenger-side seatbelt did not function as designed, while the driver and rear seatbelts did, and no airbags deployed. I do not believe adequate accountability or explanation was provided regarding the apparent failure of the passenger-side restraint system. Given the force of the impact, I could have been ejected through the windshield.Read more
