Component or system failure: The engine valvetrain (camshaft and lifters) sustained severe internal damage, including camshaft scouring, confirmed during inspection and teardown by an authorized Chevrolet dealership. In addition, the rear differential was found to contain no gear oil when the fill plug was removed during inspection. The vehicle and components are currently at a Chevrolet service c
... enter and are available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: The vehicle experienced persistent drivetrain vibration and abnormal operation that worsened over time and ultimately rendered the vehicle non-operable. Internal engine damage and a rear differential without lubrication present a risk of sudden drivetrain failure, loss of propulsion, or loss of vehicle control, particularly at highway speeds. The vehicle is currently unsafe to operate. Problem confirmed: Yes. Engine damage has been confirmed by the dealership during teardown. The absence of gear oil in the rear differential was directly observed during inspection. Inspections by others: Yes. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Chevrolet dealership and by third-party inspectors associated with the extended drivetrain warranty administrator. Two inspections have been completed, and a third inspection has been ordered. No repairs have been completed as of this report. Warning lamps or prior symptoms: Beginning around approximately 21,000 miles (2022), the vehicle developed drivetrain vibration. The vehicle was taken to a Chevrolet dealership at that time, but the cause was not identified or corrected. No warning lamps or messages are recalled.Read more

On [XXX] in Columbia SC, my vehicle reported a drivetrain failure at approximately 1800 and advised me to pullover immediately and contact roadside assistance. I promptly parked in the safest space I could approximately within 50 yards of receiving the alert. The vehicle would no longer move once parked to include neutral. BMW roadside assistance took 48 hours to pick up and transport the vehicle
... to my dealer in Florence SC. I was informed of a recall on the vehicle by the dealership and advised they would not be able to diagnose and repair until they obtained a part from another dealer that allowed them to put it into neutral. Very few updates were provided by the dealership. On 23 December I was informed the vehicle was repaired and ready. I was informed the problem was with the 12 volt battery. The battery was not replaced as it was deemed to be functioning properly after the computer system was updated. I picked up the vehicle on [XXX] with my daughter to drive it 2 miles to our home. 1.5 mile after leaving the dealership the warning came on again causing my daughter to not be able to move the vehicle out of the road at an intersection. The car could not be put into neutral to move it. BMW roadside assistance informed it would be 48 hours before the vehicle could be towed despite me telling them that it was in the flow of traffic. They advised me to locate a tow truck and I would be reimbursed. I contacted USAA roadside and they were able to have a tow truck to the vehicle 3 hours after the failure. I consider this failure to be very dangerous as the vehicle cannot be placed into neutral to move it out of the flow of traffic. 2017 F150 Super Crew 4x4 brought into dealership for brake master cylinder recall. ( no lights on dash) Dealership changed both the master cylinder and brake booster at no charge. The same day the vehicle was picked up, I returned it to the dealership. The vehicle was having issues with keeping straight on the highway and when I slowed down when coming to a full stop, the steering wheel turned co
... mpletely to 1 side on its own. These symptoms were not present when vehicle was initially dropped off. Dealership is now telling me that the ABS module is bad and that I need to pay for that repair. The local Ford dealership submitted documentation (Special Service Support Center Assistance Request) to Ford to cover related damage, but request was denied. I called Ford corporate to re-open case and appeal decision. Ford corporate would not re-open. I requested a field service engineer to review my situation, Ford said No. I asked for good will assistance, Ford said no. I asked if Ford could do anything to assist, Ford said no. It has now been over 45 days without my vehicle. The steering wheel rotating on its own after braking is a critical safety concern. The local dealership has changed the recall to complete and left me with a vehicle that is not safe to use. They claim the ABS module is bad and I have to pay out of pocket, but they have yet to provide any documentation or reports including any OBD2 codes that indicates this is not as a result of the recall work performed. In summary, I left my vehicle at dealership for recall on master cylinder and after repairs the vehicle is having issues with related components that were not present before dropping off. All I ask is that Ford can assist by covering the needed parts and labor to get my vehicle back on the road performing safely.Read more

I purchased my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 on July 4, 2024. Shortly after purchase, the vehicle began experiencing recurring electrical and electronic malfunctions affecting multiple safety and driver-assistance systems. These issues include power mirrors not consistently folding when the vehicle is locked, the digital speed (MPH) intermittently not displaying on the dashboard, driver seat memory not al
... ways setting upon entry, and blind spot warning indicators activating while driving when no vehicles or objects are present. More critically, the rear parking assist sensors do not function consistently and often fail to alert before contact with an object. I have backed into objects on multiple occasions before the sensors activated or without any warning, creating a safety risk while reversing. I first brought the vehicle to the dealership on January 13, 2025 for these issues, but they were not resolved. I purchased two GMC-branded trailer cameras in December 2024 that are advertised as compatible with this vehicle. On September 1, 2025, I returned to the dealership when the “invisible trailer” feature became inoperable. The trailer camera system frequently shows a black screen, cuts out intermittently, or fails to display an image. I returned again on September 11, 2025 due to continued failure of the invisible trailer feature and rear parking assist. The dealership kept my vehicle until December 2, 2025 (approximately one month), but the issues remain unresolved. I am scheduled to return again in January. These failures reduce rear visibility and compromise multiple safety systems. Despite repeated dealership repair attempts and extended service time, the problems persist, suggesting a defect involving the vehicle’s electrical system, sensors, software, or camera modules. I have photo and video documentation of these failures.Read more

Had new Western Wideout snowplow (recommended by Western) installed by Western dealership on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd with the factory snow plow prep package (RPO VYU). Vehicles instrument cluster, HVAC, Radio and other electrical systems cut out while operating snowplow. Per the above bulletins published by GM, GM is to supply and install a wiring harness under a unique one time warranty procedure that does not expire with the vehicles base warranty. GM dealerships as well as GM's consumer assistance hotline state that GM part number 84043394 (fitting 2014-2019 vehicles) referenced to in PIT5387C and other bulletins has been discontinued. UP Bulletin 124k refers to and instructs to install GM part number 84288774 VYU Snow Plow Jumper harness per the latest version of GM service Bulletin PIT5387. With a note stating "this jumper harness and installation will be provided (one time) without charge". GM dealerships and GM customer assistance (parts) state that PN 84288774 does not appear in their parts system as a valid GM part. The official GM parts store [XXX] lists this part but shows that it does not fit this vehicle. Therefore neither GM nor Western is able to provide any actionable solution to this known and documented issue. GM manufactured, sold, promoted, advertised and continues to state that snowplows can be installed on these vehicles with (or without) GM's factory snow plow prep option. Additionally GM continues to issue and publish Bulletins instructing GM dealerships how to fix this issue despite being fully aware of this impossibility. I am submitting this complaint to report a potential safety-related defect involving water intrusion and catastrophic electrical failure in a 2018 Audi S5. After a heavy rain event with no roadway flooding or submersion, my vehicle experienced complete electrical failure and would not start. Inspection revealed water intrusion into the trunk area where critical electronic components—including the battery and electronic control modules—are located. The damage was extensive and rendered the vehicle inoperable, resulting in a total loss determination. Attached documentation includes photographs, video evidence, and a technical inspection summary prepared by an independent automotive service facility and reviewed in consultation with Audi-trained technicians. The findings indicate water intrusion consistent with design vulnerability rather than misuse or lack of maintenance.Read more

Greetings, I have a base 2016 kia soul manual transmission that I thought was under safety recall for its engine, but when I search it says 0 unrepaired recalls, when I look this up it does claim my vehicle had this problem, but I never had a dealer fix it, I did contact the one I got it from a couple of years ago and asked if my vehicle qualified for the recall since it already has 200,000 miles
... on it but they never got back to me, did they just claim to fix it, because it has not been worked on. Still runs great at 300,000 miles but if the engine has a safety issue that might catch on fire then I want to get it addressed regardless of its high mileageRead more

Both low beam headlights went out within two weeks of each other and the vehicle just hit 100,000 miles. Dealership states that replacing the entire headlight assembly is the only fix and will cost $3,000. So now both headlights (safety issue) are out and the vehicle cannot be driven safely. Other VW Atlas vehicles are having the same issue around 50-60K miles. There should be a recall on the head

Have had 2 ICCU failures since I purchased the car in 2023.
Incident date: Dec 16, 2025
This 2021 Toyota Supra, subject to Toyota’s own “Original Brake System Defect” recall, exhibited chronic braking noise from delivery. Despite multiple dealership visits, the core issue was never resolved. The defect escalated in late 2025, with the vehicle intermittently displaying the most critical “STOP DRIVING” brake warning. In mid-December 2025, it experienced a catastrophic “Sudd
... en Unintended Steering and Acceleration” event during a low-speed turn, where the steering wheel autonomously jerked side-to-side accompanied by uncommanded acceleration, causing near loss of control. This appears to be a dangerous progression of the factory brake defect into a complete failure of the vehicle’s dynamic control systems. On the afternoon of December 17, 2025, after 2:30 PM, I was returning from the grocery store. Approaching a T-intersection, I was the first car in the left-turn lane. After the light turned green, I initiated a left turn at a normal, controlled speed. At the precise moment I straightened the steering wheel to enter the through lane, the steering wheel suddenly and violently jerked left and right on its own. Despite my foot being completely off the accelerator, the vehicle autonomously accelerated in sync with the erratic steering movements. The situation was extremely abrupt, dangerous, and nearly impossible to control. I had no time to feel fear; my entire focus was on desperately trying to regain control to avoid a crash with pedestrians or other vehicles. Fortunately, through quick reflexes and rational judgment, I concentrated intensely on the actual conditions and surrounding traffic. With a final, forceful effort, I wrestled with the steering wheel and applied the brakes, managing to bring the vehicle under control after roughly ten seconds. I safely pulled over to the roadside. I cannot accept further repairs on a proven life-threatening product. I urgently request NHTSA to oversee an investigation into Toyota regarding this systemic failure .Read more
