No audible warnings, no beeping, no proximity alerts, no forward-collision warnings, and no automatic emergency braking activated at any time, despite the vehicle crossing curbs and approaching fixed objects. No warning lights illuminated. The vehicle continued accelerating without driver input and struck and knocked down a fixed light pole. After the impact, the vehicle continued moving forward until I immediately slammed on the brake and brought it to a stop in the middle of the adjacent roadway. It did not rain in LA so not concerned, but now it is. This is a serious system design flaw. The replaced complete wiper blade system, but The relays on the bottom of the fuse box control the wiper blades. I have the Z71 off-road package as I drive off-road and in snow conditions. This car was designed poorly as this is a 4x4 vehicle and moister should not effect the electrical system nor a safety device like the windshield wipers. This is a potential recall issue to properly fix the problem. Sadly the majority of vehicle owns just drive on the highway, but others have reported windshield wiper failures.Read more

In July of 2025 my family and i were on vacation and I was driving in Williamsburg, VA. I was using my Jeeps navigation. Suddenly my arrow was taking me off track of the road i was on. My husband took my iphone and typed the address we were going and connected my phone to my charging cord so i could use car play. This did not work and neither did his samsung. It was like they were malfunctioning. We ended up using one of our phones with no connection to my jeep, my husband verbally directed me. Navigation map on my Jeep only showed me in water and still does to this day. When we got back in town I again reached out to the man who helped me, telling him our experience on vacation. He took me to the service center and the guy working the desk knew exactly what i was talking about and said this was common issue. He got me scheduled for repair. I didnt think to ask about if it was free or what. I was just glad he knew what i was talking about. My husband and i came back for my scheduled appt and i immediately asked the guy at the desk if this was free. He stated no it would be around $1500. I couldnt afford that. There was an engine recall on the vehicle that was inspected and passed. My wife noticed the vehicle shaking while she was driving and the engine mounts ended up being broken. They replaced the engine mounts and they had it up on the lift when they reported that engine failed. They replaced the motor and gave the vehicle back to us. So they determined it was the rear differential that needed to be replaced. We got the car back after another 2 weeks and it was fine for about 2 weeks. ... ealer had me driving it down roads that didn't take the vehicle through all of its gears so the problem wasn't noticed until after I had gotten on to the freeway. Went on the freeway I noticed that it was shifting up hard and downshifting hard as well as a rumble strip effects in the vehicle struggled to get up to speed or was sluggish. When I was clear and tried to pull out into a lane from an intersection the vehicle struggled to get up to speed and I was nearly rear-ended. That's when I took it to have an OBD reading which caused the check engine light to turn on and notice that codes were pending which means that the dealership cleared the codes before the test drive. Please have not been made aware yet but I will be filing a report.Read more

Please note this is an all electric SUV. On Saturday 6th December, I unplugged the car from the A/C charger after it had finished charging to 90% in my garage and there was a very loud bang heard from under the car. The dashboard then reported there is a fault with the car and it cannot charge. Took the car to the dealer same day and they suspected it was a failed GHCA part (AC to DC converter).
... They ordered a replacement and fitted it on 20th December but the car still will not charge on A/C. It still charges on DC and the dealer is using that to keep it powered. I received a call from the dealer today (1/2/26) to say that Volvo corporate needs to perform a detailed investigation as to what has caused the car to stop charging on AC. The dealer will not let me have the car back as they are concerned about the safety of the car and have been without it for approaching one month now. With that in mind and the many reports on social media of similar failures as well as multiple months of having faulty cars, it appears this is a major problem that should be subject to a recall.
