I am filing a safety complaint regarding serious and recurring issues with my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee that create unsafe driving conditions. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing intermittent electrical malfunctions while driving. Without warning, multiple dashboard warning lights and signals activate simultaneously. During these events, I lose confidence in the vehicle’s
... reliability and safety, as it is unclear whether critical systems are affected. On at least one occasion, the issue forced me to pull over to the side of the road due to safety concerns. The vehicle would not return to normal operation immediately, and I had to repeatedly turn the vehicle off and on for approximately 20 minutes before it reset. In addition, the check engine light has been on for a significant portion of the time since I purchased the vehicle. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership multiple times, but the issue has not been permanently resolved. I am also concerned about multiple safety recalls affecting this vehicle. Some of these recalls currently have no available remedy, which increases the risk and leaves me driving a vehicle that may have known safety defects without a fix. These ongoing issues pose a serious safety risk to me and others on the road. I am requesting that this matter be investigated, and that appropriate action be taken to address these defects. Is it possible to switch to another safe Jeep model?Read more

The brake actuator and/or brake booster pump assembly failed on my 2016 Lexus ES300h. The failure requires increased pedal pressure and eventually brkaing failure, creating a significant safety hazard and increasing the risk of collision. The dashboard displays multiple warning lig

Lexus has acknowledged this defect through an extended warranty and consumer warranty program, but Lexus is alleging my vehicle (despite showing issues prior to 150,000 miles) is now over 150,000 miles and not eligible. I am reporting this because a critical safety component should not have a "timer" on it when it involves primary braking of the vehicle.Read more

While driving, the vehicle intermittently emits an extremely loud burst of static through all speakers without warning, even when the audio system is off. The noise is uncontrollable (volume does not respond), and the only way to stop it is to turn the vehicle off. This creates an enormous safety hazard due to the sudden, high-volume noise that startles, distracts, and lastly impairs hearing and
... situational awareness while driving (especially at highway speeds) The issue occurs intermittently and appears to worsen after the vehicle has been running for some time or upon start up when it is hot outside. Based on similar reports from other owners, this appears to be a widespread defect involving the infotainment/head unit. I love my 2016 honda accord, but I cannot afford to shell out over $1200+ to replace the head unit to fix the problem. Many people are encountering this problem and as widespread as it is, it should have a recall placed on it :(Read more

Hello, I would like to report a safety issue related to my motorhome. I have a 2025 Tiffin Phaeton 40IH on a Freightliner Custom Chassis, VIN [XXX] . Freightliner Custom Chassis has a safety system called Roadwatch which is a collision avoidance device that integrates the Adaptive Cruise Control and the Standard Cruise Control. When the vehicle experiences heavy rain a driver information screen di
... splays the message “Radar Screen Blocked”, obviously due to heavy rain, and it renders all of Roadwatch system inoperative. However when the rain subsides and the driver message clears the entire Roadwatch system DOES NOT return to normal operation. After calling Freightliner Custom Chassis I was told the engine needs shut off and restarted to clear the malfunction! This forces the driver to find a safe place to pull off the road and accomplish the reset. But in the meantime the vehicle is driven without a critical piece of safety equipment that was designed to improve safety, when in actuality decreases safety after each rain event. I am writing you this so you are informed of the situation should a traffic accident happen you have a better picture of what may have happened and to hopefully force the manufacturer to issue a recall and resolution to this defect. This is a continuation for NHTSA campaign number 11711615. While an additional NHTSA complaint has been filed for the power train, this focuses specifically on design failures in the braking system. Our vehicle experienced a highway failure of the fuel pump, but due to the nature of a powertrain failure the car could not be put into neutral, only remain in park. The car was stranded in the middle
... of the road. As a AWD vehicle it similarly could not be towed as both wheels were fully locked. Tow informed us that there should be a manual release under the shifting column, however, this design safety feature had been removed in the 2024 iteration. The car was stuck on the road behind a blind turn on a somewhat busy road with vehicles typically traveling between 25-50 mph. The failure of a manual override for neutral and braking is a critical design failure that can lead to major accidents and death in the event of engine or transmission failure. There were no warnings, nor instructions or ability to get the car off the road.Read more

I am the owner of a 2019 Ford F-150 Lariat equipped with a 10-sp transmission. In late 2021, early 2022 - whiled the vehicle still had warranty - I reported to a Ford dealership that the transmission was experiencing harsh shifting and jerking. At that time, I was informed that no issue could be identified. I complained of this each time I took the vehicle into the dealer for an oil change. After
... the warranty expired on this vehicle in 2023, the condition worsened. By 2024, the transmission began intermittently shifting into neutral while the vehicle was in motion. This occurred both when accelerating through lower gears (notably between 3rd, 4th, and 8th,9th) and while driving at highway speeds. These incidents created serious safety risks. On multiple occasions, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into neutral while changing lanes on the interstate highway. The vehicle RPMs spiked and I was unable to regain power and had to maneuver to the shoulder while a semi-truck traveling at high speed approached from behind. This placed me in a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. On another occassion, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into neutral while I was proceeding through intersections after a green light, leaving me without power, and unable to shift back into drive in active traffic. There were no service, or warning lights on prior to these failures. The issues occurred suddenly without notice, creating unpredictable and hazardous conditions. Warning indicators only appeared after the condition progressed where the vehicle became un-driveable. Two dealers have since inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the internal transmission components have failed. I was advised that a full transmission replacement is necessary. The issue has occurred multiple times and has progressively worsened since it was first reported under warranty. There was failure to identify and address safety risks sooner and this is extremely concerning. This is a known issue!Read more

I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue with my brand-new Jeep Grand Cherokee (got it from DARCARS Rockville, MD dealership) and to request immediate resolution under warranty and applicable consumer protection laws. I purchased this vehicle with the expectation of reliability, safety, and comfort for my family. Unfortunately, within a very short period of ownership, the vehicle ha
... s experienced repeated and dangerous failures. On 17th April 2026, while traveling at approximately 65 mph on a highway in Pennsylvania around 1:00 AM, the vehicle suddenly shut down without warning. This created an extremely hazardous situation for my family. We contacted roadside assistance, but no help arrived until approximately 8:00 AM. Due to freezing temperatures and lack of heat in the vehicle, we were forced to call 911 for assistance and were transported to a nearby hotel around 3:30 AM. The vehicle was subsequently towed to a dealership, where diagnostics were performed. We were informed that the issue was related to a coding or malfunction and that it had been resolved. However, just two days later, while returning home, the exact same issue occurred again under similar conditions—vehicle shutdown at highway speed. Once again, we were stranded at night, forced to rely on emergency services, and did not reach home until approximately 4:30 AM. This pattern of failure is unacceptable and represents a severe safety defect. My family’s safety was put at significant risk on two separate occasions. As a result, we have completely lost confidence in the vehicle’s reliability and safety. Immediate escalation of this case and a full technical investigation A written explanation of the root cause of these failures A permanent resolution to ensure this issue cannot recur Consideration of a manufacturer buyback or replacement under applicable Lemon Law provisionsRead more

Date of Accident: April 13, 2026 I drove into our church parking lot and then parked next to my husband’s car and was totally stopped and in the parking space. I thought I had my foot on the brake. After a split second, it accelerated and jumped the curb of the parking space at a very fast speed. I had no control of the car. I sheared off a heavy metal sidewalk railing and was headed for the br
... ick church (church is on a berm above parking lot), but I managed to steer away to miss the church and a large tree. I steered off the berm and into empty parking lot – still traveling at high speed. I finally threw it into neutral to get it to stop because it was continuing toward a busy street with lots of traffic. Neutral stopped it. No air bags deployed. The front and side of the car that hit the metal railing sustained $6,500 damage. Towed it to collision repair. When we asked at the Columbia, MO, Honda dealer’s service department, they said because the air bags didn’t deploy, that it was probably operator’s error and nothing they could do. We didn’t feel that it was operator error and reported to the assistant General Manager of Honda in a personal meeting. We asked to have the Honda field engineer exam the car. Instead, they had their district service supervisor exam the car. Their conclusion: they could find nothing wrong with the car. After reading online reports of almost identical accidents with this model, we decided it was too dangerous to drive and sold it back to the Honda dealer.Read more

SUBJ: Vehicle Safety Complaint – 2023 Cadillac Escalade Sudden Loss of Power I am reporting a safety issue involving a 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV (VIN: [XXX] ). On April 19, 2026 (late evening into early April 20), while traveling approximately 70 mph on [XXX] , the vehicle suddenly and completely lost engine power without warning. This created an immediate safety hazard, nearly resulting in
... a collision. I was able to exit the highway, but the vehicle lost all acceleration and became disabled in the middle of a dark off-ramp with oncoming traffic approaching from behind. OnStar was contacted and Virginia State Police responded due to the unsafe location. A trooper remained on scene with emergency lights to redirect traffic and prevent a collision. Due to the hazardous conditions, the trooper arranged an emergency tow. I incurred $389.61 in out-of-pocket towing costs. The vehicle was taken to a tow yard, and my AAA Premier coverage then towed it 189 miles to Miller Brothers Cadillac in Ellicott City, MD. The dealership diagnosed catastrophic engine failure requiring full engine replacement at approximately 53,000 miles. There were no meaningful warning indicators prior to the sudden loss of power. This vehicle was purchased from Sons Chevrolet / Cadillac in Columbus, GA in December 2025 as a Certified Pre-Owned Cadillac and had already required multiple repairs shortly after purchase. The vehicle is currently at Miller Brothers Cadillac awaiting complete engine replacement and is available for inspection. This sudden loss of power at highway speed presents a serious safety risk and could have resulted in a severe accident or loss of life. Given the absence of warning and catastrophic failure at relatively low mileage, I am concerned this may indicate a broader safety defect rather than an isolated incident.
