Transmission pump failure leading to sudden power loss. This is a known problem with 2015-16 Chrysler Town & Country's and there is a recall out for it (Chrysler:S44, NHTSA: 16V461000). However my VIN does not appear in the recall registry, despite being manufactured right in the middle of the specified manufacturing time span for the defect. Because of this I was never sent any information on the
... recall as the company doesn't think my vehicle was affected. I disagree and think their database is incorrect. My vehicle manufacture date is Nov 15, and the recall span for my model of vehicle is Jul 15-Apr 16. I would like someone to verify and explain to me why my vehicle, which has this problem, isn't included in the recall.Read more

Furthermore, this dangerous recall has been in effect without a remedy for more than 30 business days. The following is a summary of the problem and the repair attempts: • Description of Defect: The charger in the vehicle did not fi rst work in August 2025. The dealership where we purchased the vehicle referenced above, was able to temporarily repair this issue. We were without the car for approximately one week. ln mid-October 2025, we were alerted for a software recall regarding the vehicle which was handled at the same dealership. In late October 2025 we were alerted to another recall alert regarding the vehicle (NHTSA #25V74 J, Chrysler #68C). This recall had no remedy and sti ll does not have a remedy as of the date of this letter and at the time we were left not choice but to " fire sale" the vehicle back to the dealership. Please note due to no fix being available, any attempts to repair wer,e futile and the dealership would not take any appointments when we contacted them several times. Further, the recall advisory stated the following "A vehicle fi re can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from recharging. Out of abundance of caution, FCA US is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until a remedy is obtained." I am reporting a steering failure on my 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque vin# [XXX] . The electric power steering assists motor separated from the steering rack due to the retention bolts that were severely corroded and snapped. The failure occurred without any warning, lights, messages, or prior symptoms. The vehicle became undriveable and posed a serious safety risk due to the loss of steerin
... g. A LandRover dealer in Bedford, NH has confirmed that the retention bolts corroded and fractured, causing the steering gear motor to detach from the rack. The repair requires replacement of the entire steering gear assembly. I have written repair estimate confirming this diagnosis. There is an existing recall (N632) addressing steering rack bolt corrosion on similar vehicles, but my vin was excluded. However the failure mechanism in my vehicle to the condition described in that recall: bolt corrosion to steering separation. This vehicle was operated in Maine, a high road salt environment. The failure occurred without driver negligence and appears to be a materials/design issue rather than a maintenance - related. Given the catastrophic safety risk of sudden steering failure, I request that this issue be reviewed for expanded recall consideration. I am reporting a series of safety concerns regarding my 2017 Chevy Volt, which have persisted despite multiple attempts to address them with the dealership. These issues pose significant risks to my safety and that of others on the road. On January 18th, 2024, I brought my vehicle to the dealer after experiencing reduced propulsion power while driving on the highway, coupled with the illumination
... of the check engine light. The mechanic performed a quick inspection and used a GM scan tool to diagnose the issue, revealing the code P1E00 for the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2, which was cleared without a thorough investigation. I was advised to return if the issue reoccurred. Despite the reset, the problem persisted, and on February 9th, 2024, I scheduled another appointment due to my Chevy Volt's High Voltage battery charging only to 65% capacity despite indicating a full charge. Subsequently, on February 11th, 2024, the check engine light illuminated again, and on February 12th, 2024, November 25th, 2025, January 11th, 2026, and February 12, 2026 while driving to work, both times I experienced a loss of propulsion power on the highway, placing my safety at risk and lost all power in a traveling lane of traffic. These ongoing issues with propulsion power and the high-voltage battery charging system are not only inconvenient but also potentially dangerous. Despite multiple visits to the dealership and attempts to diagnose and resolve the problem, it persists, indicating a systemic issue that requires immediate attention. The reduced propulsion power while driving on the highway, coupled with the illumination, I urge the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure the safety of Chevy Volt drivers and passengers. It is imperative that General Motors addresses these issues promptly and implements appropriate measures to prevent further incidents.Read more

When running the vehicle in electric mode (and sometimes hybrid), there seems to be an issue with acceleration. When pressing the pedal, the vehicle begins to accelerate until it reaches around 50% power. Once that happens, it either barely accelerates or doesn't at all - even if you are pushing the gas pedal completely to the floor. After a short period of time, the engine kicks on to compensate,
... but there is of course a delay there and many times causes the vehicle to lurch forward. After taking my vehicle to the dealership twice for this, I was told that although Stellantis is keeping quiet about this, during the 68C recall software flash fix Stellantis installed something into the vehicles to essentially throttle the battery's power. They claim this is to avoid the battery from getting too hot. I was never notified that they would be completely altering the functionality of my vehicle and how it drives - which is inappropriate - and I believe this also poses a safety risk as the loss of propulsion/delay in acceleration and the lurching of the vehicle could cause an accident you're pulling out onto a road or are in traffic. Stellantis is claiming nothing was done to the vehicle and my dealership is now claiming it is functioning as intended, which makes sense because if they DID make this change, it is technically running how they want it to. However, I have had this vehicle for nearly 2 years and it NEVER drove like this before. I have also seen numerous posts and comments from other owners on the NHTSA website, Reddit, Facebook, and various Jeep forums mentioning they are having the EXACT same issues I am having, so I know it is not just my vehicle. This, along with the other recalls that STILL have no resolution is completely unacceptable and Stellantis would rather gaslight us into believing our vehicles are fine instead of owning up to the truth - that they are not.Read more

Sun Roof has leaked. The Sun roof leaked a considerable amount of water and it came through the head liner around the ceiling mounted control panel as well as the back of the car. This is the second time it has happened and I have been told it is not covered under warranty. Through online blogs and forums I have found that this is a common issue with 2021 and newer tahoes and suburbans. And that
... is a reoccurring problem that is commonly not fixed properly by the dealers This causes a safety and health issue as well as an unacceptable vehicle defect. 1.) From a safety standpoint, if I am driving down the highway and a large amount of water starts pouring out of the headliner on the driver it causes a major distraction that could lead to high speed accident. 2.) From a health issue, regular water leaks could lead to vehicle mold and water damage. I have children, if they become susceptible to the mold it could cause health issues for me or my children. 3.) The water that pours out of the ceiling lands on the dash electronics which could lead to more vehicle issues by damaging electronic controls. It is my opinion that this is a major vehicle defect and something should be done by the manufacturer to correct it. I am reporting a persistent safety defect involving loss of intended drivability in my 2017 Ram 1500 with an 8-speed automatic transmission. For the past 3 years, on almost every use of the vehicle, the transmission enters an abnormal operating state where it becomes stuck in a single gear (most often 3rd or 4th) and will not upshift or downshift. When this occurs, the vehicle experiences reduced
... ability to accelerate and loss of normal drivability. The condition does not resolve while driving and requires me to pull over, shut the vehicle off, and restart it to restore operation. This defect has occurred multiple times at freeway speeds, requiring me to pull over onto the highway shoulder due to loss of vehicle function. A vehicle that cannot reliably shift or accelerate at highway speed presents a clear safety hazard to the driver and surrounding traffic. Requiring a stop-and-restart is not a safe or reasonable mitigation strategy in real-world traffic conditions. The issue occurs more frequently when the vehicle is cold, indicating a predictable and repeatable failure mode, not driver error or misuse. I have had to alter normal driving behavior, including extended warm-up periods and avoiding highways, to reduce risk. I was informed by repair facilities that this is a known issue related to transmission control module (TCM) software, and that Chrysler has issued Technical Service Bulletin(s) describing TCM software updates to address abnormal shifting and drivability behavior. The existence of these TSBs demonstrates manufacturer knowledge of the failure mode and a defined corrective action, yet the issue has not been addressed as a safety recall. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be evaluated based on objective safety criteria. A vehicle that routinely loses drivability and requires emergency stops on freeways warrants formal safety investigation.Read more

I've taken vehicle to dealer 5 times since recall and it's now over 1 year and Chrysler failed to remedy recalled defective part 68143491AA. Chrysler complaint case no. 95672952 filed on 2/16/26. Chrysler HAS in fact produced the replacement part No. 68143491AB - supersedes failed part no.
... above. Local dealers have qty 9 of part locally in stock and sell to public for $500. After calling many parts dept sources, I learned dealers are lying and telling current owners no remedy available under recall so that Chrysler can prioritize replacing Ram trucks traded in to dealers so they can fix under recall and make those vehicles sellable by dealers as highest priority for parts. However, dealers are also willing to sell the new part to consumers at full msrp at parts counter + labor in service center. So they make eligible customers pay full price up front and fight to get reimbursed later after being out nearly $1000 to fix Chrysler's problem. I get that there may not be enough parts on hand for every recalled unit - yet. But there are enough now at dealers that when a truck comes in to dealer service center with proven HCU failure indicators (traction control and ABS warning lights) those customers should be given the recall part with labor as required of Chrysler. In my case, brake failure warning lights were documented 7 months ago at North Fort Worth Auto Nation dealer service center under invoice #187541. So, there is no excuse why I'm now being lied to and told they don't have new part 68143491AB when parts mgr told me himself they have 8 parts in stock at that dealership alone as of 2/16/26. NHTSA is allowing Chrysler to self-regulate on this without sufficient oversight. After a year plus since first recall notice there is NO excuse why current owners should be denied available parts to fix this known major safety issue.Read more

I own a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban RST that has experienced ongoing mechanical and safety issues over several years. I first began reporting drivability concerns to General Motors and the dealership in 2023 and continued contacting them throughout 2024 and 2025. During one dealership visit, a sales advisor rode in the vehicle with me and stated they did not observe any issues, despite my continued re
... ports. The vehicle later suffered a loss of propulsion and required a full engine replacement. The radiator and cooling components were also replaced by a Chevrolet dealership. Due to ongoing concerns for my safety, I contacted General Motors multiple times, requested an executive buyback, and asked about Lemon Law options. GM advised that the engine had been replaced and that I needed to take ownership of the vehicle. After picking up the vehicle last Wednesday, I immediately noticed a persistent sweet coolant/radiator odor inside the cabin and outside the vehicle that continued for nearly a week. I also experienced engine hesitation/stuttering when stopped at traffic lights as the auto start/stop feature reengaged. I attempted to contact GM again regarding these concerns prior to today’s incident. Today, while driving, the vehicle displayed an engine overheating warning instructing me to turn the car off immediately. I safely pulled over and shut the vehicle down and am currently stranded roadside. Given the repeated failures, history of loss of propulsion, multiple repair attempts, denied buyback requests, persistent coolant odor, drivability issues, and now overheating shortly after engine and radiator replacement, I believe this vehicle presents an ongoing safety risk and request formal investigation.Read more

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V011000 (POWER TRAIN); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made
... aware of the issue. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the message "Service 4WD" was displayed on the instrument panel, and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who confirmed the failure and associated the failure with the recall. The contact was informed that there was a failure with the driveshaft and the PTU. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 73,000.Read more

I own a 2022 Chevy Silverado with a 6.2 liter engine. I had the original engine up until approx 80k in mileage when it failed, I was on a dark country road doing approximately 50mph and the propulsion system failed and the truck shut off, being a country road, I had minimum breaking and minimal steering. I had my [XXX] son in the car, we ended up in a culvert and I scraped either a large rock or
... a piece of concrete that sometimes line culverts, it did damage. At the time, until recently, I had no idea I should report this. I did know that GM had issued a recall and I believed the engineer would be covered, which it was. I never reported the damage to insurance as I didn't want my ins to go up anymore, so I have not fixed it yet. My [XXX] old was scared beyond belief. Anyhow, Williams Chevy in Elkton, Md replaced the engine free of any cost. I believe the dates are approx to be 9/26 to 10/25/ 2025.On or about 11/25 or 26th 2025, with approx 2k miles on the newly installed 6.2 liter engine, while traveling with my [XXX] son, I experienced another catastrophic engine failure. This time we were traveling on 896 in Delaware and rt 40. While crossing over, the car cut off completely again while traveling at 50mph. We barely avoided a collision on the other side of the intersection with merging traffic, I applied the Manuel breaks along with the power steering was out too. My spouse was angry that GM is still doing this knowing this could be the result.Upon the 2nd installation, I dropped the truck off on the above date. It took until 1/5/26 bor approx 1/9/26.On approx 2/12/26 I had the oil changed at a local jiffy lube. This was conducted at 3400 miles, less than the manufacturer suggests with the new 40w oil. Anyhow, yet again, my truck had zero rewarding on the dipstick. I have paperwork for both engine installs and the jiffy lube paperwork documenting the no reading on the dip stick.I am a disabled veteran and this is an unsafe and unreliable fix from GM. I own a 2014 Buick Enclave experienced two major safety‑related failures. First, while driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost throttle response and triggered a check‑engine light with code P1682 (Ignition 1 Switch Circuit 2). After replacing the ignition relay in the under‑hood fuse box, the issue seemed resolved temporarily. A few weeks later, while stopped at a traffic light, t
... he vehicle displayed “Traction Control Off,” followed by “Engine Power Reduced,” and began shaking violently. The engine warning light turned on, and the car became undrivable in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. A mechanic later confirmed no failure in the replaced ignition relay. The root cause may be a design flaw in the fuse box and its bottom wire‑harness connection, which is known to loosen because the two internal securing screws do not get tighten at all, its freely moving and not securing anything. This potential defect has reportedly affected multiple GM vehicles from 2013–2015, posing serious safety risks and potentially leading owners to spend significant money on repairs without resolving the underlying issue. In Buick Forum, thousands of customers experiencing the same issue, spending thousands and suffering financial implications and severe safety threat just for a careless design and carelessness in addressing a small design issue!!!Read more

The power train of my 2025 Model S failed similar to failure of 7-6-25 which I previously reported to NHTSA (complaint #11718413) and Tesla. Upon getting into my car on 2-7-26 and putting it in reverse, several alert messages displayed including "stability control disabled, traction control disabled, and emergency braking unavailable". I drove 1/4 mile to a safe area to call Tesla roadside assis
... t, since my steering was noticeably degraded in real time and the car was not safe to drive. The car was towed to the nearest Tesla service center. Tesla made statements on their service report attached here, that this is a "known characteristic of the vehicle" and that if it happens again I should, "exit the car, let the car go to sleep and then once the vehicle is awakened the alert will not be present and it will operate normally". That is not a valid solution, and even though they told me they found nothing wrong when they looked at the car two days later on 2-9-26, I had walked away from the car for more than an hour on 2-7-26 when this happened and the alerts were still there. The tow truck driver who arrived three hours later also saw them and noticed the degraded steering when he drove it. Tesla's solution stated on their service report is not valid or safe. This issue has happened twice in seven months on this car of mine and it needs serious engineering attention.Read more
