On 12/06/2025, I purchased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe from a Chrysler Jeep dealership in Myrtle Beach, SC. Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V741000) had been published on 11/05/2025 — one month prior to my purchase. The recall involves high voltage battery cells with separator damage that may cause a vehicle fire while parked or driving. A Stop Sale order was active on this VIN at the time of sale. I raised th
... e recall and fire risk during the purchase. The salesperson responded that "a fire could happen in any car" and continued to minimize my wife's specific safety concerns through sustained pressure until we agreed to purchase. No documentation was provided showing the recall had been remedied prior to delivery. The recall remains OPEN as of today. Third-party vehicle history data confirms Stop Sale: YES tied to 68C. We cannot charge the vehicle or use it as intended. We are unable to obtain timely service — the dealership reports months-long wait times with no loaner vehicle available. The vehicle has not been inspected or repaired for this defect. No warning lamps were present at purchase. The vehicle was available for sale and delivered to us despite the active Stop Sale designation. The safety risk is ongoing. We are parked away from structures per NHTSA guidance and have ceased charging the vehicle. This complaint is being filed as part of a formal legal record.Read more

Driving 30 mph down a city street when heard a pop and vehicle completely lost power at speed. Engine turned off and I coasted to a stop, which was unfortunately at an intersection and due to traffic could not get over safely. All accessories were still on however I could not restart the vehicle or put the vehicle into neutral, which left me stranded in the middle of a busy intersection. Hazard

After I was able to get the vehicle restarted it had a check engine light and the OnStar app showed Transmission, Ignition, and Engine Electrical warnings. Had the vehicle towed to the dealership, where they have had it for 7 days and cannot diagnose an issue and are trying to return the vehicle to me unfixed. They stated they typically would not even try to diagnose it for this long, however I have a case open with the GM executive team.Read more

I visited Car Pros Kia Tacoma for a wheel alignment on my 2025 Kia Niro EV. After the service, I was told the alignment was completed correctly and I was given a printout showing all values in the green. However, the vehicle did not feel stable or safe to drive afterward. The steering felt off, and the car did not track straight. Because the vehicle felt unsafe, I took it to Firestone the next da
... y for a second opinion. Firestone performed a full alignment check and their “before” measurements showed that the alignment was significantly out of specification, including major issues with front toe, rear toe, and thrust angle. These values were far outside normal ranges and could affect handling and safety. Firestone then corrected the alignment, and their “after” measurements showed the vehicle was properly aligned and driving normally again. Their report clearly shows the difference between the unsafe alignment I received from Kia and the corrected alignment they performed. In summary: • Kia performed an alignment that was not actually within proper specifications. • I was told the alignment was correct when it was not. • The vehicle felt unsafe to drive after Kia’s service. • Firestone’s diagnostic confirmed the alignment was significantly off. • Firestone corrected the alignment and the vehicle immediately drove normally. I am filing this complaint because the dealership returned my vehicle in a condition that affected its stability and safety, and the documentation from Firestone clearly supports this.Read more

The driver and passenger side sunvisors have both failed. The piece that holds the visor in place is apparently plastic and breaks easily, causing the visor to malfunction. You have to replace the entire assembly (not just the part). Both s

After driving around for months with the visors bungee corded up, to keep them from hanging and flopping around, I have now had my mechanic install after market brackets. This is a well known problem among mechanics that work on newer Jeeps. This may sound minor, but I do feel its an accident waiting to happen when driving towards oncoming traffic when the sun is low. Note that this jeep is primarily driven on paved roads - it is not being driven repeatedly off road in crazy conditions.Read more

My 2022 Nissan LEAF (VIN: [XXX] , approximately 24,000 miles) is subject to an active safety recall involving the high‑voltage battery and risk of fire during DC fast charging. This includes NHTSA Recall Campaign No. 25V‑655 (Nissan Recall No. R25C8), which relates to battery overheating during Level 3 (DC fast) charging. During an extreme cold event in Interior Alaska (–44°F), the vehicle experienced a sudden emissions‑system failure that triggered an EPA‑mandated Limp Mode, limiting the vehicle to 5 MPH on high‑speed highways. This created an immediate life‑safety hazard because it was impossible to maintain a safe speed or exit the roadway due to snow berms. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed
... “Service Emission System” warnings and multiple DTCs related to the reductant heaters and sensors. A dealership technician later confirmed a “burnt pin” at the reductant pump connector, consistent with thermal‑electrical overload. This failure mode matches GM’s TSB 21‑NA‑006, describing connector overheating in cold climates. After the repair, the vehicle continued to exhibit safety‑critical symptoms, including harsh downshifts, delayed engagement, and jerking during deceleration, consistent with Recall 26V083000 (rear‑wheel lock‑up risk). The vehicle also continues to emit an electrical burning odor in cold temperatures, consistent with Recall N192206310 (block‑heater fire risk). The only GM dealership in the region issued a “Termination of Business Relationship,” preventing access to all recall and warranty repairs. This has created a 321‑mile “Service Desert,” making it impossible to obtain federally mandated recall remedies. The vehicle remains unsafe to operate due to unresolved transmission, electrical, and propulsion issues.Read more

The smell is present while the vehicle is parked (I had to move it out of the garag
... e) and after driving. No visible fuel leaks or puddles have been observed under the vehicle. Safety Risk: Gasoline fumes create a potential fire hazard and pose a risk of accident. The odor is now also noticeable inside the vehicle, which increases concern for occupant safety. Confirmation by Service Centers: The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by independent service centers. Two separate auto mechanic shops inspected the vehicle and both confirmed smelling gasoline, but neither could identify the source of the odor or any mechanical defect. Inspections by Others: The vehicle has been inspected by two independent mechanics only. It has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Warning Lamps or Symptoms: No warning lights or dashboard messages have appeared. The only symptom is a persistent gasoline odor. We took delivery of our 2024 Prius XLE (Gen 5) on 09-05-2024. It came with Toyo 19" Low Profile tires (195/50R19). On 04-17-2025 we had to replace a tire at 10,848 miles due to sidewall damage. On 05-05-2025 we had to replace a second tire at 11,749 miles due to side wall damage. Our dealer stated both side wall failures were most likely due to potholes. We did not remember hitting any major
... potholes. However, we live in Wisconsin were potholes of all sizes are prevalent. Both tire failures happen at night. Toyota does not provide a spare tire for the Prius. On the second tire failure, my wife had to drive a few miles to get to a safe spot to stop. On 11-25-2025 I replaced these Toyo tires with 19" Michelin tires. At that time I was told one of our wheels was damaged. I expect that happen when my wife had to drive on the flat to get to a safe location. In researching these tire problems, I found many other Gen 5 Prius owners had similar problems with the 19" Toyo tires. Interestingly, most owners reporting these tire problems lived in cold climate areas as we do. My Toyota dealer refuses to cover the wheel damage under warranty. In addition, Toyota refuses to cover the wheel replacement under warranty. These are the expenses I have encountered addressing this problem. First tire: $216.81, Second tire: $233.48, Replacement set of tires: $952.92. The cost for a new wheel is estimated at $781.93. In my opinion, the 19" Toyo tires are Unsafe At Any Speed on cold climate roads. Can you provide me with assistance in getting Toyota to cover my replacement wheel under warranty? In addition, I feel Toyota should face a RECALL for the 19" Toyo tires on the Gen 5 Prius. I have all the documentation for these charges. In addition, if you want more data on other owners that have faced this problem, I can reach out to them on social media and get them to contact you. Thanks for your assistance. "Emissions system problem" engine warning light has been on for quite some time. I know there is a service bulletin related to this issue, but my VIN is not covered. There are also several other warning lights that occasionally pop up, and my Honda dealer believes these are all related to the initial warning light. They mentioned that sometimes these systems start shutting down so the vehicle runs
... properly. Recently I received "transmission system prolem" (in conjunction with the slew of warning lights I have frequently been getting). No apparent issues until recently when I was driving on the interstate. The engine started to become very loud and when I looked at the RPMs it was very high, over 5,000 RPMs. The car wasn't shifting out of first gear at 55MPH. I immediately slowed down and got off the interstate as soon as possible. After arriving home, we unhooked the battery, re-installed, and all of the warning lights were gone. Again, the Honda dealer believes all of these issues were realted to the "emissions system problem", which is part of a service bulletin that should be covered by warranty extension. I beleive my VIN should be included, and the recent transmission system problem which happened on the interstate was very dangerous and could have ended very badly, had I not been in tune with what was happening.Read more
