These repeated failures left my vehicle un-drivable and parked at the dealership for more than 6 months, with replacement parts repeatedly placed on backorder, causing severe and prolonged loss of use. I filed a formal complaint with Volvo Customer Care requesting a vehicle buyback. After months of inadequate communication, Volvo declined to buy back the vehicle or offer reasonable trade-in accommodation. VISIBILITY FAILURE (FMVSS 111): The failure impacts the digital rearview mirror and the safety camera feeds. These cameras frequently glitch, lag, or freeze, depriving me of necessary rear and surround visibility while moving. This is a violation of federal safety standards for rearview visibility. SYSTEMIC ELECTRICAL FAILURE: This "slowly dying" system is also interfering with the vehicle's communication bus, causing the power door locks to malfunction. This creates an entrapment or security risk. I have reported these issues to General Motors/OnStar. Despite their awareness of these "electrical gremlins" and the existence of limited service updates (like Program #N242435631), no permanent fix has been provided. This is a major safety concern as signaling the direction that you're turning is very important to other drivers. Additionally, it is against the law not to use signals. I'm constantly in fear that someone is going to rear in me because of my inability to signal when switching lanes and or turning. Additionally, my back up camera stopped working shows a black screen with a notice to contact the dealer. Another issue I have is that my door ajar light is illuminated all the time. I often feel unsafe and fear that the door may just come open at any time, I am unable to lock my doors with the internal lock , which means my doors are left unlocked while I'm in the vehicle. Also, the interior lights stay on for awhile when car turned off, thus putting more strain on the battery, which I've just replaced. Plus, the dome light will not go off until you accelerated to about 20 mph, however, when putting the car in reverse there's no way to get the lights to turn off in this causes visibility issues at night. That in conjunction with my backup camera not working makes it a very dangerous situation when going in reverse. I also detect the odor of gasoline which lingers in my vehicle for some time after getting fuel. I'm scared that there's a leak and if so the potential of a fire is very concerning. The CP4 pump in my truck exploded sending metal fragments through the fuel system. I was going 55 mph, it went into low engine power mode and then turned off leaving me stranded on the side on an interstate. This is a known issue with this model. The vehicle's Freeze Frame Data recorded a catastrophic internal transmission slip, showing an engine speed of 1767 RPM while the vehicle was moving at only 4 MPH in 2nd gear. There are no previous warning signs or symptoms of this problem before the transmission failure. It was sudden and unexpected. The manufacturer’s technical service protocols (such as T-SB-0094-24/T-SB-0076-24) for these specific solenoid codes on this specific 8-speed hybrid transmission (L580F) – which is equipped on my vehicle – identify this as an internal mechanical actuator failure requiring full transmission, torque converter, and hybrid module replacement. However, the manufacturer has denied the repair because the vehicle’s specific VIN is not yet listed on a service bulletin and that they could not reproduce it in a short test drive. The manufacturer’s official recommendation is to continue operating the vehicle with a documented and non-repaired powertrain defect until a second failure occurs in traffic. I am reporting this as a significant safety risk, as a recurring loss of motive power during critical driving maneuvers puts myself and other motorists in danger. The service technician saw no codes, therefore, they say nothing is wrong with the car. I know that cars do not always throw codes. I googled what my car did and it is a thing. The article gives suggestions as to what can be checked, but Mercedes refuses to check anything since no codes were there. State Farm asked to me ask for the black box info (Event Data Recorder), however, Mercedes refuses. The car is unsafe to drive. If it happened once, it will absolutely happen again. State Farm is having the car towed to a different body shop today, as Mercedes body shop is price gouging. I do not want to drive the car until they find out what happened and they keep telling me there's nothing wrong with the car. It is a safety hazard. ... d overheating for no known reason at all shortly after sorting the overheat my navigational system and my radio has started to fail I took it to several places to have it put on machines they can figure out why the check engine light is on or why the battery is dying because it's showing that it has battery the battery life they don't know why it's falling up and down I'm checking till not sound but other than that they're not getting no read out on the machine they put it off of I'll contact the dealership because on certain 2013 Chevy Malibu equals they have a recall on the general control module system Burger is being defensive but I'm on my specific then there's not a recall online but everything that happens with the defective general control module it sounds like what's going on with my car I'll contact it the dealership and they told me that although they had the recalls on the defective funeral control module if I was to take it to a dealership and it proved to be an effective general control module that I was still going to be liable for out-of-pocket expenses because my car is not covered under the van recall and I'm not understanding how that right or how that's legal when they have all these defects of recalls on these cars and if that's what's going on with mine how is it not the same thingRead more

Incident Summary: I am reporting a recurring and dangerous failure of the vehicle’s lane-keeping/automated steering system. The vehicle provides unprompted, forceful steering inputs that fight the driver’s control, creating an immediate risk of high-speed collisions. Incident 1 (I-5 North): Traveling at 70 mph in the right-hand lane. Every few minutes, the vehicle initiated an unprompted stee
... r to the left. I had to physically fight the steering wheel to maintain center and avoid a crash. The behavior only ceased when I moved to the left-hand lane. Incident 2 (I-80 East, Reno/Mogul, NV): Traveling at 65 mph in the left-hand lane. The vehicle initiated a sudden, forceful steer to the right, nearly causing a side-swipe collision with an adjacent vehicle. I had to use significant physical force to override the system and prevent an accident. Systemic Failure & Safety Concern: There is currently no way to permanently disable this system in the vehicle settings. Because the system defaults to "ON" upon every ignition cycle, I am forced to drive a vehicle that unpredictably attempts to steer into other lanes or off the road. The inability to permanently opt out of this malfunctioning "safety" feature is a grave concern, as the system itself has become the primary collision hazard.Read more
