I bought the 2016 Ford Escape and 2 weeks after the purchase the check engine light came on. I took it to Auto Zone and they said it was a spark plug. I had a full tune up done 2 days after the purchase so I called the garage and they replaced the spark plug. The light came back on a few hours later so I then took it to the Ford dealership and paid over $500.00 to have it fixed, along with the cam
... era glitching. The day I picked up my car the check engine light came back on so I immediately took it back. They re-evaluated it and said that it is a manufacturing defect and that there is nothing they can do unless I want to replace the engine and that there was no guarantee that the new engine would not have the same issue. Apparently there are holes all throughout the engine and the antifreeze is mixing with the oil. I only drove it a total of 6 months before it completely died. Because I bought it from a buy here pay here lot he wouldn’t take it back even though I only had it 2weeks. My extended warranty would not cover the engine because it’s a manufacturing defect and I was stuck with a car note plus full coverage insurance on a car I could not drive. Ford never reimbursed me for the camera glitch that I paid for that is still not fixed and when I called Ford to see if there was anything that they could do to help me they said unfortunately they are in a lawsuit in California over the same issues I was having so no help is available at the time. The craziest part is the clerk at the Ford dealership told me to hurry up and trade it in at a different dealership that’s not Ford owned because I have a “Ford Pass” all Ford dealership can see the history of the car. And let it be someone else’s problem.Read more

I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall affecting my 2016 Range Rover Sport TDV6, VIN: [XXX] . This vehicle is subject to Recall D019 (NHTSA Recall 25V-514). Despite the recall being issued, I have contacted the dealership multiple times and have repeatedly been told that the remedy or required parts are not yet available. There has been no clear timeline provided for when th
... e repair will be available. Both the front and rear components associated with this recall on my vehicle appear visibly defective and concerning. This creates a significant safety concern for me as the operator of the vehicle. I rely on this vehicle daily and should not be forced to continue driving a vehicle with known defective safety-related components while waiting indefinitely for the manufacturer to supply parts. A safety recall should include a prompt and effective remedy. The ongoing delay in making repair parts available places vehicle owners and the public at risk and undermines the purpose of issuing a safety recall. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that the manufacturer be required to provide a timely repair remedy. Owners should not be left operating vehicles with known safety defects due to delays in recall implementation. My noise cancelation malfunctioned from the first month of of purchasing it 11/2023. It took two years numerous dealership visits, update after update. I filed a lemon law claim. I had a GM claim. Bought the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. It was driving perfect no issues then I hit 52,000 miles and the check engine light illuminated. This honda cr-v had a sudden surge of acceleration while the brake pedal was pressed. The brake pedal was stepped off to put car into drive, but then the car suddenly went forward over 30 mph and crashed into a fence and tree in the driveway straight across from it about 5 feet away. The airbag did not immediately deploy, but deployed a minute later. The entire front end of the car was destroyed.

The dealer noted that my VIN was not listed as included in the relevant recalls, although many vehicles from the same model year were included in Ford recall 19S26 (NHTSA 19V632000), which addresses corrosion or breakage of electric power steering gear motor bolts and potential loss of power steering assist. No prior symptoms were noted before the warning message appeared. The failure was sudden and occurred while the vehicle was in motion. The steering gear and related components are available for inspection. Based on the dealer’s assessment and the similarity to documented recall conditions, the cause appears to be a sudden failure of the electric power steering gear assembly.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding misleading and inconsistent safety labeling on the Nuna REVV convertible car seat. The car seat’s physical sticker, the Nuna website product page, and the user manual all contain conflicting information about the height and weight limits for different installation configurations (vehicle belt vs. lower anchor, rear-facing vs. forward-facing). Specifically:
... • The website listed rear-facing use with vehicle belt as 5–30 lbs with a height range of 18–34 inches, and lower anchor belt as 5–30 lbs. The sticker on the seat displayed the height limit only for certain configurations, suggesting height was not a factor for others. • After I raised the discrepancy, Nuna’s own customer service team initially told me the sticker was correct and the lower anchor configuration had different limits. They later reversed course after consulting their CPST team, confirming that the rear-facing maximum is 30 lbs OR 34 inches for ALL installation methods — contradicting what both the sticker and website indicated. • This means both the NHTSA-approved sticker on the seat and the website contained incorrect or misleading information at the time of purchase. My [XXX] son ([XXX]) has been using this seat rear-facing based on the published specifications, but is actually over the height limit. This is a serious safety concern. Car seat labels are NHTSA-regulated and are the primary resource parents use to determine safe use. Conflicting information between the label, manual, and website creates a situation where children may be used outside the seat’s tested parameters without their parents’ knowledge. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the labeling on the Nuna REVV to determine whether it meets federal safety labeling standards and whether a corrective action or recall is warranted. I am reporting a catastrophic internal engine failure in a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 at 87,600 miles. Prior to this event, there were NO warning lights or symptoms. While traveling alone during the holiday on a remote, one-lane road with no shoulder, the vehicle suddenly suffered a loss of power. Every warning light on the dashboard illuminated at once, followed by shaking, misfiring, and lou
... d knocking from the engine. Because I was on a one-lane road with no place to pull over, this created an immediate safety hazard for me and oncoming traffic. I had the car towed to the dealership ( where I bought the truck) confirmed the failure was a collapsed lifter and scored camshaft (which i found out to be a known design flaw in the 5.3L DFM engine). The dealer said it was not under warranty. I felt held over a barrel by the dealership; they initially provided an inflated quote and told me it would cost approximately $1,200, not including tax and shop fees, just to put the engine back together if I wanted to tow it elsewhere for a second opinion. I was forced to pay over $8,395 under protest just to regain use of my primary vehicle after 42 days of downtime. Upon completion, the dealer provided a "Lifetime Warranty" on the replacement parts. This is a tacit admission that these components were never intended to fail during the life of the vehicle. GM refuses to include this vehicle in its coverage list, treating a dangerous engine stall as a simple "out of warranty" repair. This is a systemic safety defect that requires a mandatory recall expansion before it results in a terrible accident. My understanding is that a Class Action lawsuit, Harrison vs. General Motors, for this same thing, but they say my car is not in it, i should have been put on notice for this so I could protect myself.Read more

The vehicle’s GPS/navigation system repeatedly misrepresents the vehicle’s physical location while driving. The defect includes incorrect vehicle positioning on the map display, including instances where the vehicle appears in incorrect geographic locations (including appearing in the middle of a river). While actively navigating, the system has recalculated routes incorrectly and changed est
... imated travel time from approximately two hours remaining to six hours, despite no change in route or conditions. This occurred during highway driving. The GPS malfunction also affects Apple CarPlay navigation when the phone is connected to the vehicle. When connected, the vehicle’s incorrect GPS data corrupts phone navigation routing. The defect further affects the vehicle’s heads-up display and traffic sign recognition system. The system has displayed incorrect speed limits (including displaying higher speed limits in lower-speed areas), which contributed to receiving a speeding citation. The issue makes reliable route planning and EV charging planning difficult or impossible during longer trips. The vehicle has been presented for repair three times. Dealership documentation verifies that the GPS and compass were incorrect. A technical case was opened with Volkswagen (Case RK-1536905), and I also opened multiple customer care cases on my own, to no avail. The vehicle was returned unrepaired with the statement that the concern is under review and no repair solution is currently available. The defect remains unresolved. 12 volt battery keeps dying for normal reason. It was replaced last year. I have to jump it a few times a day. I'm afraid it will die while I'm driving. I was told at the dealer that it was because I was charging my car in the cold and the 12 volt battery will disconnect to avoid a fire. It was winter. Now we have in 80 degree temperature and the 12 volt battery is dying more frequently
