Vehicle: 2021 Range Rover Sport Component: Suspension – Dynamic Response / Active Roll Control System The vehicle experienced a failure of the Dynamic Response / Active Roll Control system, which is a hydraulic suspension stabilization system designed to reduce body roll and maintain vehicle stability during cornering and evasive maneuvers. Inspection by an authorized Land Rover service center
... confirmed that the failure was caused by severe corrosion and deterioration of the hydraulic lines supplying the Dynamic Response system. The corrosion caused hydraulic fluid leakage and a complete loss of hydraulic pressure, disabling the system. This failure occurred on a 2021 vehicle, and the amount of corrosion present on these hydraulic lines appears premature for a vehicle of this age. These lines are critical components of the vehicle’s stability system and would normally be expected to last significantly longer. When the Dynamic Response system loses hydraulic pressure, the vehicle loses an important stabilization function that helps control body roll and maintain handling stability. With the system disabled, the vehicle may experience increased body roll and reduced stability during higher-speed cornering or emergency maneuvers, which raises safety concerns. The issue was confirmed by the servicing Land Rover dealer. The dealer diagnosed hydraulic line corrosion and failure resulting in loss of system pressure. The repair is replacement of the front and rear hydraulic lines, refill and bleeding of the hydraulic system, and recalibration of the Dynamic Response system. The estimated repair cost is approximately $10,000. The vehicle is operated in New York State where winter road salt exposure is common. Hydraulic lines associated with a vehicle stability system should reasonably be expected to withstand normal environmental exposure, including road salt, for a longer period of time. Photographs, dealer report, repair estimate are available.Read more

The front trunk (frunk) actuator failed due to an under voltage condition. During repair, Tesla technicians also found corrosion in the wiring harness connectors. The vehicle has been garaged its entire life and has never been exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Tesla's own service documentation specifies that underwood and underbody connectors should be protected with anti-corrosion gre

Repair cost $860.20, partially offset by a $200 goodwill credit. I am writing to formally document my experience with the service performed at Nissan Heights following a recall repair on my vehicle. My vehicle was brought to Nissan Heights on Monday, March 2, for recall service related to NHTSA Recall #22V-024 (Nissan Recall #R21B9) involving the wiring harness. I dropped off the vehicle early that morning with the expectation that the recall work would be comp

After the recall inspection and service process, I was informed that additional components needed to be replaced the Engine Control Module (ECM), and the Body Control Module (BCM). The cost of replacing these components was several thousand dollars. Based on the nature of the recall and the research I conducted regarding this issue, these failures appear to be directly related to the wiring harness recall. However, Nissan Heights informed me that these repairs were my responsibility. In order to retrieve my vehicle, I proceeded with the repairs and paid the required amount after 8 days. When I picked up my vehicle, I later discovered that certain parts had not been properly reassembled before the car was returned to me. I did not immediately notice this until I was already driving home. Because I had to go to work, I was unable to return to the dealership right away and had to make an additional trip back to Nissan Heights so that the issue could be corrected. More concerning, after further inspection of the vehicle, I discovered that a significant amount of what appears to be an acidic grease or liquid substance had been spilled over the exterior of my vehicle. This substance was present on the roof, sides, and doors of the car and appears to have caused damage to the paint. This damage was not present prior to leaving the vehicle at the dealership. 2019 Kia with approximately 64,000 miles. Engine failed without warning. Prior to failure, vehicle had been experiencing intermittent stalling on multiple prior occasions and had been brought to a mechanic for inspection before the final failure occurred. Vehicle stalled while being driven on a highway at night on [XXX] between mile markers 67-71 in Maryland, creating a dangerous situation for th
... e driver and other motorists. The oil warning light appeared immediately prior to engine failure. Vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who inspected it and confirmed the engine had failed. The mechanic noted that the engine was well maintained, ruling out neglect as a contributing factor. Mechanic stated this is a known issue with Kia engines from this era. Vehicle is available for inspection. Problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. Engine replacement cost is approximately $6,000. Kia's powertrain warranty does not fully transfer to subsequent owners, leaving this vehicle owner without coverage despite low mileage and what appears to be a manufacturing defect. Owner was advised by mechanic that Kia has covered similar failures as goodwill replacements due to the known nature of this defect. After the automatic start/stop system engages, the engine stalls and completely shuts off shortly after the vehicle begins moving again. This occurs after the vehicle restarts and travels only a few feet. When the stall happens, the vehicle loses power and the engine stops functioning while the car is in traffic. This has occurred two separate times: once on a busy highway and once while entering
... a roundabout. Both incidents created a dangerous situation where the vehicle could not maintain power in active traffic and could have resulted in a crash. A yellow emissions warning light also appeared on the dashboard. The dealer indicated that an intermittent oil pressure sensor code was present but no parts were replaced and no corrective action was taken. The dealer reset the system and stated they could not reproduce the problem. The vehicle is now being returned to me without repair despite the safety risk. An engine stall immediately after the start/stop system restarts the vehicle creates a serious hazard because the vehicle can lose power in the middle of traffic. I believe this issue may be related to the automatic start/stop system or an oil pressure sensor fault affecting engine operation.Read more

... peatedly experienced unexpected and unprovoked braking events, including situations where the automatic braking system engages despite there being no vehicles, pedestrians, or visible obstructions present. The issues observed include: • Sudden automatic braking activation without obstruction • Unexpected vehicle deceleration during normal driving conditions • Repeated dashboard alerts indicating “Speed Severely Restricted” • Repeated Attention Assist / “Coffee Break” warnings during normal local driving • Sudden brake engagement when parking, accompanied by a loud mechanical noise These events create a dangerous driving condition, as unexpected braking could lead to a rear-end collision from vehicles traveling behind the driver. During one incident, the abrupt braking caused a severe jolt to the driver, resulting in whiplash symptoms that required medical evaluation and MRI imaging, which identified cervical strain. The vehicle has been brought to the authorized dealership multiple times for inspection and repair attempts. However: • The dealership has not been able to diagnose or repair the issue • Service visits have largely been documented as general inspections • No ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) diagnostic or calibration report has been provided, despite the fact that the malfunction appears directly related to radar, camera, or collision prevention systems. We respectfully request that the Office of Defects Investigation review this complaint and determine whether further investigation into this issue is warranted.Read more

I am reporting a defect involving my **2025 Buick Encore GX AWD manufactured by General Motors. Within two days of purchasing the vehicle, the dashboard displayed the warning message “Service Charging System – Vehicle May Stall.” I contacted the dealership on the third day of ownership and was instructed to bring the vehicle in for service. Since that time the vehicle has required multiple r
... epair visits related to the charging system. Repairs included diagnosis of the electrical charging system, replacement of the alternator, and replacement of wiring harness components related to the charging system. I later learned the alternator had already been replaced prior to my purchase of the vehicle, and it required replacement again after purchase during the repair process. Because the charging system warning appeared almost immediately after purchase, I am concerned the defect may have existed prior to the vehicle being sold. Although the warning message is not currently appearing after the most recent repair, the defect occurred almost immediately after purchase and required repeated service visits. The vehicle still does not appear to operate normally. While driving at a steady highway speed, pressing the accelerator sometimes results in no immediate response. There can be a delay of approximately one to two seconds before the vehicle begins accelerating even when additional pressure is applied to the accelerator pedal. I have also noticed the engine sounds louder than expected while idling. Because the original warning indicated the vehicle may stall and the vehicle continues to demonstrate abnormal acceleration response, I believe this may represent a potential safety concern. I sought resolution with the manufacturer, however the manufacturer has not accepted responsibility for the condition. I am submitting this complaint so the issue is documented in case other owners experience similar charging system or acceleration problems.Read more

See attached document for complaint. I purchased a certified pre-owned Nissan Leaf SV Plus on [XXX] specifically for the larger battery capacity and the ability to use a DC fast charger, as this would allow me to drive my electric vehicle wherever I needed to go, including regular trips to Seattle from Mount Vernon. They stated a remedy would be available in October 2024. When the date came and went, I contacted Nissan about the issue and the date was pushed to November 2024. Then December 2024, then spring 2025, then fall 2025. After numerous contact attempts to replace my battery, I initiated a buyback with Nissan on 10/16/25. I unexpectedly required medical treatment in October and contacted the Nissan rep on 10/28/25 to inform them of my medical issue and asked they contact my husband. My husband also attempted to contact the rep w/ no response. After coming back home, I found out that my claim was closed—Nissan said I failed to respond. Now, my doctors want me to receive further medical treatments in Seattle 3-5 times per week. At this time, my vehicle cannot transport me to the required appointments since I cannot use the fast charger. My medical treatment is delayed until Nissan resolves this! This malfunction creates a potential safety hazard because the tailgate may unlatch unexpectedly while driving and causes continuous warning alarms and electrical issues. We are not being updated and are not receiving information from the dealership and Corporate about the details about the problem and nature of the delay. Toyota has obligations under federal recall law administered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to remedy safety defects within a reasonable time and at no charge to the consumer. An indefinite inability to complete a safety recall repair due to parts unavailability raises serious concerns under those obligations. Furthermore, a previous recall #25TA08 (NHTSA 25V595) which was supposedly completed on October 14, 2025 by the same dealership is showing as INCOMPLETE in the vehicle record with NHTSA.Read more

The drive train and motor slow to a near stop in traffic when trying to clear a lane and makes it very dangerouos for other traffic to have to wait for me to clear a lane. There is something wrong and we complained about this before the warranty ran out, but they could not find anything. The car stops in traffic unexpectedly. I am not sure if sensors are causing this or what, but it has put me
... in danger of collision many times. We have to plan an exceedingly long time to pull into traffic so we don't get run over. Anti slip also doesn't turn off even though it says it is off. The car will slip a little bit and then shut the motor down to a crawl making it very dangerous in traffic. The 4x4 doesn't seem to work as we turn it on to try to eleminate slipping. The slipping mostly occurs because of the motor becoming doggedly slow and then decides to speed up. The 4x4 on and the turning of the anti-slip do not work because it still slips and shuts down. The other tires don't seem to slip or do anything. Please help!!!Read more

This has been occurring for many months. Experience STICKY STEERING! Seems to be air temperature and speed related. The steering is fine initially until I've driven 10-15 miles. The sticking occurs with High ambient air temps and speed over approx. 35 MPH, and progressively worse at highway speeds. Only occurs with steering wheel input from wheel center position. Initial wheel input resistance, t
... hen a break to smooth. An opposite wheel input is then necessary to correct the over steering created by the sticking. I believe there is a Honda recall for identical problems for 2017 and 2018 Honda Civic, but my VIN is NOT included. The recall pertains to the steering rack gearbox, referencing the gear and lube, and in some instances replacement of the entire steering rack. This problem is commonly discussed by Civic owners across the internet. I believe there is potential of this causing serious accident and injury, and should be recalled.Read more
