Since March of 2025 I have identified a critical safety defect with my vehicle. When driving and without warning, the vehicle unexpectedly shifts to neutral, experiences a loss of propulsion, and the engine shuts off. This has occurred multiple times in which I narrowly escaped collisions with other vehicles or objects. If this would occur at a high rate of speed, it would certainly result in se
... rious accident including possible fatality. I have experienced three near-accident scenarios when I had children in the vehicle. I have worked with Classic Chevrolet in Sugar Land, Texas who has made six attempts at repair. They have each time found a different component attribute to an error code and replaced that part. After each visit they tell me that the car is fixed and safe to drive. They have never been able to provide a clear explanation as to why I am experience this reoccurring issue, but attribute it to a different part each time. Within 5 days to 2 months, the incident repeats. I have recent video of the incident that I can share. Chevrolet Customer Care has been minimized my concern and informs me that their Service staff has found the vehicle to be fully operational and safe to operate. I have spent over $6,000 in failed repairs. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle. That list of repairs includes: March 7, 2025 - battery replacement March 28, 2025 - DC/DC power converter April 22, 2025 - ECM updates January 8, 2026 - •Throttle body replacement •Serpentine belt replacement •Engine air filter replacement •Transmission fluid flush •Coolant fluid flush •Fuel injection cleaning •Hydrogen carbon cleaning service January 23, 2026 - power control module (recall) January 30, 2026 - rear differential system replacement March 10, 2026 - • Replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump • Replacement of the DC power supply converter • Hydrogen carbon cleaning service I can share all invoices. On November 11, 2025, while reversing inside a garage, the rearview camera image— which had initially displayed correctly on the vehicle’s screen—suddenly froze while the vehicle remained in reverse mode. At the same time, the Pre-Collision System (PCS) failed to engage the brakes while the vehicle was traveling at approximately 2–3 miles per hour. As a result, the vehicle struck the garag
... e structure and sustained damage. Toyota investigated this incident (Case #XXX) but based its conclusion on the incorrect assumption that I had reported either a brake system malfunction or a complete absence of an image on the display (a dark or blank screen). Because of this, Toyota determined that it could not provide assistance regarding the resulting vehicle damage. This characterization is inaccurate. The issue was not a blank screen. The rearview camera image appeared normally and then froze while the vehicle was still in reverse. My vehicle is currently subject to Recall Campaign No. 25LA06, which addresses reliability issues involving critical safety-related electronic systems. The rear visibility system is a federally mandated safety feature under 49 CFR §571.111 (Rear Visibility Requirements). When the image freezes during active vehicle operation, the system no longer provides the required real-time visibility necessary for safe reversing. Given the existence of an active recall campaign aimed at addressing reliability issues within the vehicle's electronic safety systems, this malfunction should be considered potentially linked to a defect covered by Recall Campaign No. 25LA06. The failure of the rear-view system during vehicle operation directly contributed to the occurrence of the collision.Read more

After going through a touchless car wash with undercarriage spray and clean, the vehicle stalled 5-10 minutes later. This occurred after the wash was completed and driving away. Suddenly the engine began to lose power, stumbled, and then died while driving. If I had to guess this was a sensor or some electrical component that may have been affected by the water spray from underneath. There were no
... check engine or other warning lights when this occurred. Attempted to restart the engine. After a few seconds longer than normal it started and appeared to run fine. Drove it home afterward. If the water caused the issue there are serious implications for driving in rain, through puddles, or snow as that water can migrate up into the engine compartment during driving (would be especially dangerous at highway speeds). If it makes any difference, the vehicle did idle fine for a few minutes after leaving and stopping outside the touchless car wash. Only after a walkaround, removing trash from the vehicle, and then driving away did the stall occur.Read more

The first component to fail was the brake booster module which controls the ABS, forward collision, adaptive braking, adaptive cruise, traction control system, etc. The malfunction started when the forward collision assist activated to prevent me from hitting a deer in the road. We avoided hitting the deer but all of those lights came on immediately. We contact Friendship Chevrolet the dealer we b
... ought the car from had us bring it in to be checked. They confirmed the defective Module and said that it was a reported issue that GM had it's engineers looking at. They said they would have to wait for the part to arrive, advised that we could continue to drive the car even though there was a major malfunction with the critical braking systems. did not offer any type of loaner to ensure my family's safety. We had to wait for more than 30 days for them to receive the part and complete the repair still driving this unsafe vehicle because we had no other choice considering how high the MSRP & payment is on the vehicle. Once the repair was finally completed we immediately began to notice that the brakes were consistently screeching when in slow moving traffic like car rider pick up line. I reported the issue to the dealership and they gave me the answer that it was due to a more abrasive brake pad being used due to it being a passenger vehicle and it's weight. We continued to deal with the squeaking for months then we noticed a coolant leak. Dealership again said had to wait for part. After they did not contact me back I contacted GM and opened a case. When they got it in I also had them change the brakes out of my own pocket. Now the brakes squeak anytime pressure is applied and when coming to a complete stop they grind so loud you can hear and feel them digging in. GM still says nothing is wrong and brakes are a maintenance charge and are not covered for any reason. I feel the vehicle is still extremely unsafe and my family is at risk of possible crash.Read more

The component that failed is the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) Control Module in a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Diagnostic code C2200 (“ABS Control Module Internal Failure”) was retrieved during a scan, indicating an internal electronic failure within the ABS module. The component remains installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. When the failure occurs, the vehicle’s A
... BS, traction control, and stability control systems become disabled. The dashboard displays warning lights for the ABS, traction control, and brake system. While the base braking system continues to function, the loss of these electronic safety systems could increase the risk of reduced vehicle control during emergency braking or low-traction conditions such as wet or slippery roads. The issue has been confirmed through diagnostic scanning by a service center, which produced code C2200 indicating an internal failure of the ABS control module. The condition is repeatable: the warning lights appear after approximately 10 minutes of driving, and if the vehicle is turned off and allowed to sit for a period of time (such as overnight), the lights reset but return again after driving. The replacement ABS control module is currently extremely difficult to obtain. According to a Jeep dealership parts department, the module is on significant backorder, with hundreds of outstanding orders that were expected to be filled earlier in 2026 but remain unfulfilled. The part is widely reported within the Jeep owner community to be a common failure for this vehicle generation, yet no recall or official remedy has been issued.Read more

This vehicle experiences multiple recurring safety-critical system failures while driving, creating a dangerous operating condition for both the driver and the public. 1. Dashboard / Instrument Cluster Failure While Driving While the vehicle is in motion, the dashboard display intermittently shuts off completely. When this occurs, I cannot see my speed, warning lights, battery status, or any othe
... r gauges. This creates a severe safety risk because I am effectively driving without any instrument information. The issue occurs while actively operating the vehicle on public roads. 2. Navigation / GPS Location Failure The vehicle’s built-in mapping system frequently shows my location several states away from my actual position. Even though the location is incorrect, the system continues to provide turn-by-turn navigation instructions based on the incorrect location. If these directions were followed, it could cause a driver to make unsafe maneuvers or become distracted while attempting to correct the navigation error. 3. False Automatic Emergency Braking Activation The automatic braking system frequently activates even when there are no vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles present. The vehicle abruptly slows or brakes on open roads with nothing nearby. This creates a significant safety hazard because it could cause a rear-end collision if another vehicle is following. Repair History / Ongoing Issue: This vehicle has been taken in for repair multiple times for these issues. Despite attempted repairs, the problems continue to occur. The recurring nature of these failures indicates a systemic defect that has not been corrected. Safety Concern: These failures create multiple hazardous driving conditions: Loss of dashboard information while driving Incorrect navigation location and directions Unintended automatic braking events Allowing this vehicle to remain in service with these unresolved defects places both the driver and the public at risk. The driver did not intentionally steer toward the guardrail and attempted to correct the vehicle, but the steering wheel resisted input at the moment the lane assist system intervened. A dashcam in the vehicle recorded the incident, and the responding police officer reviewed the footage at the scene and concluded that the steering wheel jerked toward the guardrail. The police report notes that the accident appeared to involve a possible vehicle malfunction.
