This is a supplemental update to complaint #XXX filed February 7, 2026, regarding my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Diesel (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion on January 21, 2026, consistent with the defect mechanism described in Recall 24V797. Recall software was installed May 27, 2025. Failure occurred eight months later with no warning. GM's response
... has been as follows: A Field Technical Service Engineer made a remote determination that the failure did not match the recall without physically inspecting the transmission. GM Executive Resolution required teardown at customer expense with no reimbursement guarantee. The authorized dealership (Dave Kirk Chevrolet, Crossville TN) declined to perform a documented inspection -- citing unwillingness, not inability. Written refusal was withheld for over one week. GM's Executive Resolution liaison admitted she had known of the refusal and withheld that information from me, directly delaying my ability to act. The final repair order (RO 50479) contains a self-documented notation: "Added tech notes 3/16/26" -- eight weeks after the January inspection. The transmission pan was fully removed, fluid was discarded, and pan bolts were not reinstalled. The only photograph provided does not reflect as-found conditions. Evidence integrity has been materially compromised. The vehicle has been without propulsion since January 21, 2026. Full chronology, documentation, and supporting evidence are attached. The exhaust system on my 2018 Chevrolet Traverse has failed due to cracking in the exhaust pipe and/or muffler assembly. This appears to be consistent with known issues in similar model years where exhaust pipe brackets separate and cause cracks or holes in the exhaust system. The failure has resulted in excessive exhaust noise and potential exhaust leakage. The dealership has confirmed the issue
... and recommended repairs costing several thousand dollars but stated my VIN is not included in the existing recall or special coverage. Yes, the vehicle and failed components are available for inspection upon request. The failure of the exhaust system creates a risk of exhaust gases, including carbon monoxide, entering the passenger cabin, which poses a serious health hazard. Additionally, a compromised exhaust system can affect vehicle performance and emissions, and in some cases may increase the risk of fire if hot exhaust gases escape in unintended areas. This issue is especially concerning because it has been identified in other model years of the same vehicle, yet my vehicle is not currently covered, despite experiencing the same failure. This creates an ongoing safety concern for myself, my passengers, and others on the road. The problem been reproduced and confirmed by a certified Chevy dealer.Read more

Engine failure on March 8, 2026. 2024 Sierra Denali 1500 VIN [XXX] Prior to this incident, the vehicle was taken to the same dealer due to the safety recall. The engine was inspected on November 12, 2025, and I was told that it "passed," with the remedy being a change in oil viscosity. I was driving on March 8, 2026, when I heard some odd noises (clanking and knocking). Shortly thereafter
... , the engine just stopped in the middle of the road. It would not restart, and as a result, I couldn't put it in neutral to roll it out of the roadway. It remained stuck in park. I was stuck for 2+ hours in the rain, waiting for a flatbed wrecker. Cars were unable to pass in either direction. When the tow truck arrived, I was told it had to be dragged on to the flatbed with sleds due to the transmission being stuck in park. The truck was taken to Carl Black GMC in Roswell, GA. On Monday they confirmed that the engine had seized and needed to be replaced. The repair was completed, and I picked up the vehicle on Friday, March 13. My 2017 Nissan Sentra is experiencing CVT transmission problems. The vehicle hesitates when accelerating, slips between gears, and sometimes loses power while driving. There have been 2 safety recalls and i find that unacceptable for my family. What are my options for a buy back?
Incident date: Oct 30, 2025
Unknown. This was a certified preowned vehicle that was purchased on December 18, 2024. We have had NUMEROUS issues with the car since purchase but the most concerning has been the door actuators. The front door actuators on both sides failed in less than a year from date of purchase. I was told by the dealership where it was repaired that this was a common problem and to expect the rear ones t
... o not be far behind. 4 months later, the rear ones are now not working. This creates a safety hazard, especially since this is the primary vehicle that my teenager drives with his younger brother. A malfunctioning door lock actuator can create dangerous situations, including the possibility that a door may fail to unlock or open, potentially trapping passengers in the vehicle during an emergency or out of the vehicle when my underage children are by themselves. Conversely, the door may appear to be locked when the mechanism has not actually engaged, leaving the vehicle vulnerable to unauthorized access. Faulty actuators may also cause erratic locking or unlocking behavior while the vehicle is in motion, which can create a safety distraction for the driver as well as a security risk. There were no warnings that this was an issue. My son thought the doors were locking (and unlocking). I am aware GM is already "tacking" this issue as I could find stats on how many people have reported, so it is enough that they are taking notice.Read more

On two separate occasions, I have encountered a complete loss of power in my Sonata Hybrid, preventing me from unlocking the trunk or doors upon returning from extended trips. The first incident occurred after a ten-day
... absence last Fall, and the most recent was on Saturday, March 14, 2025. During the latest incident, I returned from a seven-day trip and found my vehicle parked at Orlando International Airport. Upon approaching the car, I anticipated being able to unlock the trunk, load my luggage, enter the vehicle, and drive home. However, once again, the vehicle was unresponsive. Accessing the car required removing the cap from the door handle and manually inserting the key, a process that took approximately ten minutes, which was particularly inconvenient and concerning in an airport parking lot. This situation was even more challenging considering I am a [XXX] woman of smaller stature attempting to resolve this issue alone at night. I believe this poses a serious safety concern for all owners under similar circumstances. Following the incident last Fall, I brought my Sonata Hybrid to Key Hyundai in Jacksonville. I was informed that this is a known issue for which there is a recall; however, my vehicle model year is not included in the affected range. It was suggested that I would need to manage this problem independently. I believe this recurring issue represents a known vulnerability that could potentially expose Hyundai and its dealerships to liability should an owner suffer harm while addressing this malfunction. This incident is related to the ARB7/24V-732 recall, first communicated to me in November, 2024 and again in July, 2025. The July, 2025 letter states that software would be installed in the vehicle to test the health of my vehicle's battery, at a Porsche Center. I believe that this was actually performed over-the-air at my home. It's my guess that because the software was installed over-the-air,
... the normal process to close out a recall did not occur. I did not receive notification that my vehicle was determined to be healthy, and it isn't clear when NHTSA did. The slow or non-reporting of the vehicle recall status has had a ripple effect, as practically every third party tracker of recall information believes that the recall is still active on my vehicle. This is impacting the vehicle's worth in the market and may be impacting insurance rates and other vehicle health-dependent service costs. Porsche claims that it is my responsibility to correct the record of the vehicle with third parties, when it is their negligence that is causing the work. I see this as unfinished work on their side, and I ask NHTSA to help drive Porsche Cars North America to complete their work. Moreover, Porsche should be compelled to notify all customers whose health check was performed remotely that their vehicle was found to be healthy and that the recall was lifted on their vehicle. Lastly if it is not mandated that the OEM is responsible to communicate the resolution of recalls performed without service receipts, then this should be considered alongside any other updates to law. Thanks for any help that you can provide.Read more

This appears similar to known failures on the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse platform where the front exhaust pipe mounting bracket separates from the pipe due to weld failure. At that time the vehicle was still drivable. On March 2, 2026, I brought the vehicle to the dealership and reported the jerking issue. I also asked that the throttle body and transmission be inspected. The dealership stated that the technician could not determine the cause of the problem but recommended maintenance repairs including tires, brakes, and rotor service. Based on their professional recommendation, I approved the repairs. On March 6, 2026, I picked up the vehicle and paid $1,416.21. I was told the vehicle passed inspection and a safety test drive. However, within approximately thirty minutes of leaving the dealership, the vehicle began jerking violently and shut off while I was driving. The vehicle had to be returned to the dealership. After the vehicle was returned, I was informed that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. ... s jerking when slowing or coming to a stop. On February 19, 2026, a diagnostic scan showed code P0420 – Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). This was concerning because I had asked the dealership to check that component during the initial inspection. I was originally quoted about $2,800, and after discussions with management including Jim Fife, I paid $2,165 on March 14, 2026 for the catalytic converter repair. Despite paying a total of $3,581.21, the vehicle continued to show drivability problems. A new diagnostic scan showed codes P0420 and P219B (air-fuel ratio imbalance), suggesting the underlying issue may not have been properly diagnosed before replacing the catalytic converter. I attempted to resolve the issue.Read more

The vehicle went into low power mode and said to pull over. As soon as that message appeared the next warning appeared and said to shift to neutral and pull over immediately and attempt to restart. The vehicle immediately shut off after second warning before having time to pull over from first message. I was able to pull most of the way off the road as the vehicle had shut off there was no power

Vehicle would not restart and needed to be towed. Dealer stated it was a fule control module that was hard to get due to a recall. But that my vehicle was not part of that recall.Read more

This vehicle qualified for the Volkswagen Emissions Recall, yet from the start of the recall through 2018 settlement lawsuit dates , no correspondence was sent (by Porsche nor VW). According to all recall regulations, my vehicle should have among the ‘recall’ with the 85K plus others, yet no correspondence was sent (by Porsche nor VW) & now the local Porsche dealership is denying in, Accordin
... g to all recall regulations, even still with the EPA, the vehicle was to receive an initial emissions test, then undergo all related repairs/part replacements before the issue resulted in toxic emissions, NOX sensor failures, & premature problems with the DPF system, leading to thermostat problems & the failure of the diesel turbo. Federal regs mandate that vehicle & vehicle equipment manufacturers comply with Early Warning Reporting requirements, submit to NHTSA copies of their manufacturer communications. & update all communications including warranty, policy extensions & product improvement communication sent to dealers, distributors, owners, purchasers, etc. regarding any defect, failure or malfunction beyond normal deterioration in use, failure of performance, flaw or other unintended deviation from design specifications whether it is safety-related or not. Porsche now says my vehicle never showed the recall, despite court mandates that all affected vehicles will be notified communication failed on the sides of both manufacturers. In 2026, if one possesses an eligible vehicle but never received a "Dieselgate" recall notice, options for financial compensation from the original U.S. settlements stated to be likely limited, & I’m not able to find how to proceed with Volkswagen, but regardless, according to EPA and all vehicle standards, I read my vehicle is still entitled to receive an emissions modification at no cost, and that I should be covered by an extended emissions warranty to address all current & related issues.Read more
