The primary failure is a total loss of engine power and electrical systems while the vehicle is in motion. The dealership (Ray Skillman Southside Mitsubishi) has diagnosed this as a failed engine/body control computer system. The vehicle is currently located at the dealership's service center and is available for inspection. The vehicle has stalled/shut off completely while driving on four separat
... e occasions. This resulted in an immediate loss of power steering and motive power, nearly causing collisions in traffic. A vehicle that loses all power without warning is a severe safety hazard to the driver, passengers, and other motorists on the road. Yes. The problem has been confirmed by the Ray Skillman service department. They have attempted to repair the issue 3 times without success and currently state that the vehicle is inoperable while they search for a used replacement computer component. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by the Ray Skillman dealership technicians. To date, no representative from the manufacturer (General Motors) or insurance has performed an independent inspection, though a formal complaint has been initiated with the dealership's corporate management. There were no consistent warning lamps or symptoms prior to the failures. The vehicle would unexpectedly lose all power and shut down. These symptoms first appeared within the first 100 miles of ownership (purchased at 11,000 miles; current mileage approximately 11,800 The dealership has refused to provide a loaner vehicle and is currently attempting to resolve a recurring safety failure using a used/salvage electronic component rather than a certified new part, which I believe further compromises the safety of the vehicle.Read more

My vehicle requires size 225/55R17, but the shop installed size 245/45R17. About two weeks ago my truck popped up a message asking if I had installed new brake pads. When I selected no, on my Home Screen, where I can see the systems of my truck the front bake wear indicator no longer showed a percentage. When I inspected my brake pads the front outer pads still had a good amount of pad left, but when I checked the inner pads they had been severely worn down compared to t
... he outers. On 4/1 I brought my truck to a Chevy dealership to have them diagnose why there is such uneven brake pad wear. After they inspected the brakes the dealership then told me that due to the brake pad clips being installed improperly my pads were wearing out unevenly. The dealership also showed me a service bulletin (25-NA-365) that GM had put out for trucks in the 2023-2026 models that stated due to a factory installation defect on the clip that holds the brake pads in place it is causing uneven wear on the brake pads. I told the dealership that the clip causing uneven wear on the brake pads could become a safety concern if owners don’t know about this because the braking effectiveness of the truck is wearing out faster than what the owner is told by the sensor. I told them in extreme cases that if the pad completely wears out then the rotor could be damaged and cause a very significant impact to the safety of the vehicle because the braking system will be severely degraded. I was told that since it is just a service bulletin the dealership and GM do not have to cover the repairs of the brake pads because a service bulletin is not the same as a recall and that brake pad wear is a normal maintenance item. My concern is that trucks with similar mileages as mine of 20000 miles are wearing their brake pads out at an alarming rate and the dealership and GM are not taking the responsibility to ensure that the issue is resolved and new pads are replaced to ensure proper braking effectiveness on the roads.Read more

The suspected components involved include the Pirelli tires, as well as the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), traction control system, and 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, which did not appear to effectively intervene. The vehicle spun and was involved in a crash, placing myself, my wife, and my child—who has Autism—at significant risk, along with surrounding motorists traveling at interstate speeds. Despite visible tread remaining, the tires did not perform as expected. Based on warranty expectations of approximately 50,000 miles, the apparent performance failure at only 15,257 miles raises serious safety concerns. The vehicle is currently at a collision repair facility and is available for inspection. The issue has not been reproduced, and a manufacturer inspection is pending. The vehicle has been inspected by law enforcement and insurance representatives. There were no warning lights or alerts related to traction, stability, or tire performance prior to the incident. On March 11, 2026, a 2024 Ford Transit (VIN: [XXX] ) was being operated under normal driving conditions when the check engine light began intermittently activating. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of dashboard functionality. While attempting to safely maneuver to the shoulder, the operator experienced loss of power steering and reduced braking capability. During this tim
... e, flames were observed originating from the engine compartment. The operator was able to safely pull the vehicle over, exit, and contact emergency services. The vehicle subsequently became fully engulfed in flames and was completely destroyed. No injuries were reported. A preliminary fire investigation determined the area of origin to be the passenger side of the engine compartment, with evidence of possible electrical involvement. The specific failed component has not yet been identified. This incident created a significant safety hazard due to the sudden loss of vehicle control systems combined with an active vehicle fire during operation. Vehicle: 2019 Acura RDX (Technology Package) I am reporting a serious safety issue involving sudden loss of engine power while driving. On March 14, 2026, I filled my gas tank before traveling approximately 1.5 hours out of town. The vehicle operated normally that day. The following morning, during snowy and icy conditions, while accelerating in traffic, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stall
... ed. Multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard (“Christmas tree” effect), and the steering became very stiff, making it difficult to safely maneuver the vehicle out of traffic. I was able to restart the vehicle, but warning lights remained on. The next day, while driving on the highway under normal conditions, the same issue occurred again. While accelerating, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stalled in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. In response, the fuel pump inside the gas tank was replaced; however, the problem persists. The vehicle continues to display warning lights and still loses power when accelerating. I contacted an Acura dealership after seeing reports of a fuel pump recall for similar vehicles, but I was told my VIN was not included. Despite this, the symptoms match known fuel pump-related issues. This defect poses a serious safety risk, especially when driving at highway speeds or in traffic, as sudden loss of power and steering assist can lead to a crash. No injuries have occurred yet, but the issue is ongoing and unresolved. I am requesting investigation into this issue as a potential safety defect.Read more

Shift to Park. Unable to turn the car off even though the car is in park. This was previously fixed in 10/24 and started up in 10/25 a few days after the 1yr warranty. I reached out to the dealership that repaired it in 2024 and was told that I would have to pay for the service as the part is not covered under the powertrain warranty. I reached out to GM for assistance and that was a lost cause. I
... was told that the repairs will only last 1 to 2 yrs, so this appears that it will be a temporary fix. My car has about 55000 miles on it. To know that I may possibly have to continue to get this fixed, I feel like this should be considered a lemon and they should refund me for the cost of the vehicle or give me another car. GM knows that the Shift to Park is an ongoing issue with this year, make, model and have failed to issue a recall.Read more

Ford Escape has experienced coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders, a known issue affecting this model year. The vehicle began misfiring and consuming coolant without external leaks. The dealership confirmed a Technical Service Bulletin applies to my VIN. This defect can cause engine failure while driving, creating a serious safety risk. The engine shudders so bad I cannot drive the car. I
... have also had to replace the transmission a few years back. It became a safety hazard. I was driving it and it wouldn't get up to speed and it was stalling on the road with traffic. This vehicle has several know issues, the cost to upkeep and constantly replace things to maintain safety is unaffordable for anyone. Children and people ride in these cars. These cars are unsafe to be on the road for those in them and around them. I still owe money on mine and can't even drive it due to its safety hazards with the engine and the coolant intrusion. I do not have a repair invoice as I decided to not drop anymore money into this car. Its unfortunate I am still paying on the loan for it.Read more

I reported problems with my truck to Beck and Masten South GMC. I was put off a number of times with ridiculous excuses. My vehicle sat in the shop for a month to get my OnStar safety equipment repaired. I also had arguments with them regarding the oil light coming on and it burning excessive amounts of oil. I was told this was normal. I know better. Also, I needed to get it back into the shop for
... service and inspection for a squeeling noise under the hood. And to have them check the oul consumption. I was told it idle too often, and this was the reason oil was dissapearing. I was told they would put me on the loaner list so I could have means to get to my oncologist for cancer care. Well, I called numerous times because they never furnished a loaner for these issues I was told a third, then forth time I was next in line for a loaner so I could drop it off for repairs and recall work. After 8 months of these lies I finally went to Monument Chevrolet. Beck and Masten never intended to help me. Total I had tried and was told by newer service advisors, the manager, and GMC this would be remedied over 10 times in over 6 months. I finally gave up and moved on to never return to this dealer I had purchased two brand new GMC 1500 trucks from in a two year time frame. I did get my OnStar gateway repaired by replacement. It had stopped working again, shortly after getting it back. I kept getting put off. They stated it needed another Gateway for OnStar. I kept calling, and was told they would contact me ince it came in. I ended up troubleshooting the entire modem/router assy. I found inconsitant configuration parametrs. So, I reconfigured it all from start to finish after clearing the memory by taking battery cables off and allowing it to power down and clear memory. Then I did perform a reconfiguration and username/password change as well. I repaired it myself. The Onstar has never acted up again. These were my first issues. I had to take it to Monument Chevrolet for serviceRead more

I am writing because my local Hyundai dealer is failing to make the repair in a timely manner consistent with what my recall notice stated, and is requiring that I make TWO trips to Hyundai in order to get this NECESSARY recall work completed. Meanwhile, if the camera fails, it could put me and others at risk. My service representative, [XXX] , and his service manager showed ZERO concern about my
... time or possible dangers if the rear camera fails, stating that it's Hyundai corporate that made the policy that customers must have their car inspected and photos taken of the rear camera harness assembly during this first visit, BEFORE ordering the parts under my vehicle's specific VIN number. Once they do this and submit it to Hyundai corporate, they say, the parts will be ordered and I will be contacted AGAIN to make yet ANOTHER appointment to have the parts installed. My letter from Hyundai says NOTHING about having to make two visits. It says to schedule an appointment, and the recall work will be done. I actually tried to call the 855 Hyundai number to schedule the work, and that operator said nothing about two visits; she was unable to book the appointment she'd given me, so directed me to the local Hyundai dealer, who also said NOTHING about two appointments being needed to have this recall work done. I am concerned, because i am scheduled to drive out of town in a high pedestrian and vehicle traffic area in two weeks and was doing my due diligence to get the recall work done before the trip. I feel that the two appointments are unnecessary when EVERY 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe with this feature is equipped with the same rear camera and rear camera harness assembly, such that there's no reason to have to FURTHER register it with my VIN, that this could all be done in one appointment. Requiring customers to come for 2 appointments--especially without telling them anywhere in the letter or during 2 phone calls--simply increases risk of injuries if the camera fails. The vehicle displayed a “Passenger Restraint System Malfunction” warning. Upon diagnosis by an authorized BMW dealership (Fields BMW, [XXX] ), the issue was identified as a faulty passenger knee airbag wiring harness (short to ground). The dealer confirmed that this condition is documented in a BMW Technical Service Bulletin [XXX] ), indicating that BMW is aware of a recurring defect involvi
... ng this component. This failure directly affects the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which is a critical safety system designed to protect occupants in the event of a crash. A malfunction in this system raises serious concerns about whether the airbag will deploy properly. Despite this being a known issue, BMW has not issued a recall and is requiring customers to pay for repairs once the vehicle is outside the warranty period. I was offered only partial “goodwill” assistance (20%), leaving me responsible for the majority of the repair cost. This appears to be a systemic defect in a federally regulated safety system, not normal wear and tear. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue for potential recall, as it may affect multiple vehicles and poses a safety risk if the airbag system does not function as intended.
