What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The steering gear in this vehicle began to fail around 40K miles. It clunks at low speed, doesn't roll out of turns, and recently has begun to oscillate during straight driving. I will keep the old part for inspection once replaced. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The cars s
... teering does not return to center during a turn. Now, the steering is shaking violently during driving. It will likely seize if left unfixed. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. I also have video. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? This is a well documented issue with Chevy steering. I will include an AI overview screenshot.Read more

The transmission has been having issues for the past couple days. It is the 10 speed model and I have noticed everyday for the last couple days that there is an unusual shifting pattern between 25-60mph. This is sometimes accompanied with a shudder that feels like going over rumble strips without the sound. The feeling is not constant, but I will come to a complete stop and under light acceleratio
... n it will return. Under hard acceleration it is not noticeable. However, I am concerned with the unusual shifting. It can happen at a constant speed where it will do a random shift up or down or under light acceleration it will feel like it’s slipping for just a second. The vehicle has 99,900 miles on it and there are no warning signs or lights active. The vehicle is about to be serviced to do an inspection to find the underlying issue. This is a safety concern because the vehicle could potentially cause more damage to the transmission and with the random shifting, could potentially cause an accident.Read more

Well known and documented failure of 2015-2019 Corvette ZO6 and Grand Sport wheels cracking prematurely due to poor manufacturing process. General Motors/Chevrolet has already publicly admitted liability to avoid court cases already filed. They agreed to offer extended warranty to owners of affected vehicles in 2024, offering full replacement cost of defective wheels. They assigned a company, Anal
... ytics Consulting LLC of [XXX] , to administer the claim process. I received my claim form in July of 2024. I filled out and supplied all required documentation on August 20, 2024, they later acknowledged receipt August 22, 2024. All claim forms were required to be sent by January 25, 2025. They informed me by phone call that they would not begin processing claims until March 1, 2025. All through the Summer of 2025, after several phone calls, that no information would be released as to the completion of processed claims until all claims had been completed. No time line given or offered. To date there has been no other information or updates on when the claims will be paid. I have filed a claim with the State of Georgia Attorney Generals office, they were unable to help. I have gone to the local ABC news station where they did a story on the issue, no resolution. This is a national issue for all owners of the affected vehicles. There have been many articles and videos published regarding the issue. Came out to my new 2025 Chevy Trax with Stabilitrac and Antilock Braking System faults on the dash on March 27, 2026. They have had the vehicle since April 1st, I was given a loaner from the dealer after having expressed my displeasure that GM would not fully cover the cost of a rental vehicle while I wait on a critical part of the failing braking system that they are failing to provide their dealer. Luckily the braking system never failed prior to diagnosis.Read more

On June 17th, 2025 while driving from [XXX] back to my home state of [XXX] , I experienced an engine malfunction in Chester, Va where the 6.2 L87 engine was shaking and had severe hesitation. It was diagnosed by the Chevrolet dealership in Chester, VA as suffering severe failure of ALL 8 fuel injectors, fuel rails and connector harnesses, resulting in a 15 day repair wait and a $4,644.50 bill not

After this I attempted for 3 months for GM to cover the repair as the vehicle was less than 5 years old and less than 60,000 miles under the 5 yr/60K warranty but denied it. On March 26th, 2026 while driving on the parkway at about 60 mph, my vehicle experienced loss of power (slow deceleration, shaking/hesitation) and I immediately took it to the repair shop where it was diagnosed as a P0308 code (misfire on cylinder 8) which caused a repair of the #8 spark plug, ignition coil and wire resulting in a $380. repair. Two days later, I experienced the same issue and then took it to an engine diagnostic specialty shop where I have been told that this issue will run about $4,000 due to valve and comprehension issues on an engine that has 60, 680 miles. I have seen numerous L87 engine complaints on Chevy Forums with no assurances that repairs or engine replacement will rectify the issue and feel that this is an issue that GM should be addressing for safety issues and an economic loss to its customers. I am hoping that your investigators can help the many people that have been left stranded by this incompetence and lack of admission of GM's part. Repair invoices available upon request.
