The entire infotainment system has gone black. Nothing shows on the screen. This is a safety issue as it does not show blind spot monitoring, heads up display, lane change warnings, allow hands free calling, gps, and much more. On April 10th, while traveling approximately 7 hours from home on a very busy highway in [XXX] , my 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe (6.2L engine) suffered a complete and catastrophic engine failure, requiring a full engine replacement. The vehicle had to be towed and I was left stranded with no transportation. Prior to this failure, I had brought the vehicle to an authorized GM dealership for a recall inspe
... ction specifically related to the 6.2L engine on September 9, 2025 with 36,162 miles. The dealership technician inspected the vehicle and informed me that my engine was not defective and cleared it. Shortly after that inspection, the engine suffered a total failure at 46,6xx miles on the vehicle. I am currently leasing this vehicle at approximately $1,100 per month and have been without the vehicle for an extended period while it sits awaiting repair. GM customer care has been contracted and has indicated they cannot move forward with a buyback claim because the BBB is not taking my case because the vehicle is older then 2 years old which I know is a false legal claim. This is a serious safety concern, a catastrophic engine failure at highway speed poses significant risk to vehicle occupants and others on the road which appears consistent with other reported failures. I am aware that NHTSA has opened Recall Query RQ26001 investigating the adequacy of GM's remedy under recall 25V-274. My experience is consistent with the 36+ complaints that triggered this investigation, engine failure occurring after an authorized dealer performed the recall inspection and cleared the vehicle. I am requesting this complaint be added to the RQ26001 investigation file. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2011 Chevrolet Malibu LS related to the electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, and electric power steering systems. My vehicle is currently experiencing the following problems: * “Service ESC” warning message * “ESC Off” displayed * Traction control disabled * Electric power steering warning * Airbag warning light illumina
... ted These issues occur while driving and directly impact the vehicle’s safety systems and handling. I am aware of a prior safety recall issued by General Motors under Recall Number 13036, which involves electrical wiring, the body control module (BCM), and brake assist system (BAS). According to the recall, this defect can result in the loss of electronic stability control, traction control, and other critical safety features. My vehicle is experiencing the exact same symptoms described in Recall #13036, including the disabling of ESC and traction control systems. However, I have been informed that my VIN may not be included in this recall, despite the identical safety-related failures. This presents a significant safety risk because: * Electronic stability control and traction control systems are not functioning * Steering assist may be compromised * Crash avoidance and braking support features may be disabled I am requesting that this issue be investigated and that consideration be given to expanding Recall #13036 to include additional affected vehicles like mine, as this appears to be a widespread defect. The dealership has ordered my engine under warranty but I remain well over 1000 on the waiting list to get a new 6.2 engine. Vehicle has experienced repeated electrical and safety system failures since purchase in 2023. Failures include complete loss of camera functionality (rear and front), infotainment system shutdowns or resets while driving, loss of audio, and volume malfunctioning (including sudde

These issues have occurred while the vehicle was in operation, creating safety risks due to loss of visibility systems and unreliable warning alerts. In multiple instances, the system would become completely non-functional for extended periods, sometimes lasting days or weeks, before temporarily returning. The problem has been reported to a dealership multiple times and has been inspected and serviced. Repairs have included software updates and component-related work; however, the issues have continued to persist or reoccur. The failures are intermittent but recurring and have not been permanently resolved despite multiple repair attempts. I am reporting a safety defect involving a GM 6.2L L87 engine. My vehicle was included in the GM recall related to engine failure (loss of propulsion). The recall remedy was performed, and the engine was replaced under recall/warranty in August 2025. After the recall repair and engine replacement, the vehicle experienced a second catastrophic engine failure, on April 21st. The engine failed agai
... n while on a highway, resulting in loss of vehicle function and leaving me stranded. This occurred after the manufacturer had already attempted to remedy the defect. The vehicle has now been out of service for an extended period (approximately 2.5 months total across both events - and ongoing), and I am continuing to make payments on a vehicle that is not operable. This appears to be a failure of the recall remedy itself, not just the original defect. I am concerned this represents a broader safety issue involving post-recall failures of the L87 engine, as currently under investigation. I am requesting that this incident be included in the ongoing federal investigation into GM 6.2L engine failures.Read more

Incident date: Mar 29, 2026
The vehicle has experienced persistent engine performance issues that have not been resolved through standard repairs. Initial diagnostics indicated knock sensor faults, which were replaced at significant cost. However, the issue persisted and additional codes related to air fuel imbalance (P219B) appeared. The vehicle continues to exhibit reduced power, hesitation, and inconsistent acceleration
... while driving. This creates a safety concern, particularly when merging into traffic or attempting to accelerate in situations requiring reliable engine response. The dealership has quoted a minimum repair cost exceeding $7,000, with the possibility of increasing to $10,000 depending on further findings once the engine is opened. Due to the high cost and uncertainty of repair, the vehicle may remain in operation with an unresolved defect. Research indicates that similar issues have been reported by other owners of this vehicle generation, suggesting a potential broader defect that may impact vehicle safety. This issue affects the vehicle’s ability to deliver consistent power and safe acceleration. Given the relatively low mileage and the severity of the repair required, this may represent a defect that warrants further investigation. My 6.2L engine failed on 1/6/26 due to a OEM bearing issue. The vehicle was inspected and engine had to be replaced after the recall and service were done. The vehicle stalled while doing 30 mph on a local road. No warning lights or problems were observed or detected prior to the incident.

My engine coolant temperature sensor failed. Replaced it and still not fixing the issue. This takes my steering assist away as they are all interlinked? I have seen on forms this is a common issue. This has the potential to blow up my engine, I’m not sure how this is not a recall with so many 2020-2026 blazer owners having the same issue.
