Mid shift between 5th and 6th gear it sounded like marbles in my engine(grinding) so I let off the gas. It then switched down to 1st gear shuttered and slowed down and then shifted back to 6th. Was lucky no one was behind me or I would have been rear ended. Then going up my driveway same day. It disengaged(stopped) part way up my driveway. Wouldn’t go into gear and wouldn’t move. I had to shut

I am writing to report a safety concern with my 2021 Chevrolet Equinox. The rear bumper has begun to separate from the body of the vehicle and becomes loose during normal use. This issue appears to be related to how the bumper is attached (clips, fasteners, or design), not due to any collision or damage. A loose rear bumper creates a potential safety hazard, as it could detach while driving or po

I purchased the Vehicle in April 2025 with 500 miles as NEW. Within 3k miles, I had the AEB and “BLIND Spot warning unavailable “ both service required messages come on the vehicle. The Hazards stay on the side mirrors while driving, which make it dangerous also believing you have vehicles in your blind spot creating a safe hazard and also beeps at times. This continued to happen constantly. I

It continued to happen. 6k miles, more software updates. A wiring harness was replaced. It is still happening for both. At 10k miles. After software updates, wiring harness update. Vehicle died in parking lot. The electronics all worked, it just would not start and would not go into any gear. Had to have it towed to dealer for repair. They replaced the PCM but it still would not start. They again replaced the PCM and a fuse. The vehicle started. This is the FOURTH time for the exact same issue. It died twice on the previous owner, once while on the highway. It also died twi

It has also had an O2 sensor replaced, and the previous owner suffered wiring issues (replaced the engine bay body harness), sunshade recoil failed, abnormal noise in rear end when turning, etc. All issues were corrected. However, I am uncomfortable that these issues may re-occur. Another failure of the PCM and/or electrical issue could cause the unit to die in a situation that could be life threatening.Read more

I am creating this complaint because my vehicle has not been included in the NHTSA recall # 25V-767 on the V35A 3.4L twin-turbo V6 in my 2023 Sequioa. My vehicle was produced on the same manufacturing line and likely had the same engine debris. Toyota gives the reason for not including the hybrid because it is not a safety issue as the hybrid motor can provide power if the engine fails. However ow
... ners who have encountered this issue in a hybrid tundra or Sequioa has said that power-steering and control systems failed creating a safety issue. Additionally we use this vehicle to do long road trips that often put us long distances from any service center or roadside assistance. This creates an additional safety hazard for our family being stranded far from potential help due to this issue. Since this is a known issue covered under a recall for other models with the same issue I am asking that my vehicle be included in the recall so that we can have confidence to use this vehicle as intended. We bought a Toyota and a lifetime Toyota owners due to the reputation of reliability that we could depend on the vehicle to get us across the country in safety. Not including our vehicle in this recall is breaking the trust that we have in the brand to do the right thing to cover their mistakes. I am requesting that the recall be consistent to cover all the engines impacted by manufacturing debris including the hybrid variants of the motor.Read more

This is a report of a Failed Remedy for Safety Recall N321 (Recall #19V293). Records confirm that this vehicle had the recall repair performed on 12/09/2020. That repair has now failed. A certified technician at the dealership has confirmed via video that the windshield bond has detached, leading to significant water intrusion. This flooding has ruined safety-related electronic modules (cameras/au
... dio) and caused significant mold growth in the interior, which is a biohazard health hazard. The manufacturer is admitting the failure but is refusing to provide a 100% covered remedy for this failed safety recall, offering only a 40% 'goodwill' contribution. The vehicle is currently dismantled and unsafe to drive. A failed windshield bond compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle in a rollover and prevents the proper deployment of the passenger airbag. Furthermore, the active electrical failures in the safety-related camera systems and the respiratory risk from mold growth make the vehicle unsafe for occupancy Technician Diagnosis Summary Technician Name: Skyler (Jaguar/Land Rover Certified) Date of Diagnosis: March 23, 2026.Dealership: Land Rover Parsippany, NJ Key Findings from Skyler's Video: Direct Admission of Failure: "So what we have going on is the windshield is leaking. To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding a malfunction in the air conditioning system of my 2024 Chevrolet Trax. Specifically, the evaporator and/or condenser has failed, resulting in inadequate cooling performance and potential system leakage. This issue is more than a matter of comfort—it presents a significant safety concern. Operating the vehicle in high temper
... atures, particularly in Texas, creates hazardous conditions inside the cabin. Excessive heat can lead to driver fatigue, dehydration, and reduced concentration. Additionally, the malfunctioning A/C system affects humidity control, which may cause windshield fogging and reduced visibility while driving. The problem has been consistently reproducible during normal vehicle operation. Symptoms include poor cooling performance, inconsistent air temperature, and possible unusual odors or sounds when the A/C system is in use. Notably, no warning lights or dashboard messages appeared prior to the failure, making it difficult to detect the issue early. At this time, the vehicle is available for inspection and can be evaluated by a dealership, certified technician, or manufacturer representative upon request. I request a thorough inspection to confirm the failure and determine whether this is due to a manufacturing or design defect. If necessary, I am also willing to have the vehicle reviewed by independent service professionals or relevant authorities. Given that this issue has occurred in a nearly new vehicle, it raises concerns about reliability, quality control, and potential widespread defects affecting other vehicles of the same model. I urge prompt investigation and corrective action to ensure driver safety and product integrity. Please advise on the next steps for inspection, repair, and resolution of this matter. I appreciate your prompt attention to this serious issue. It was disappointing after getting all of the service recommendations done that i would have to pay $4500.00 for engine work for a seven year old vehicle. This cost was a hardship for me because I'm still making a car payment. I also had to replace the battery every 1.5 years. The battery warning light never came on, leaving me stuck at an intersection until the tow truck arrived. It cut off because of the start/ stop feature and that would not start again. No warning. Component: Engine / Engine and Engine Cooling Description: My 2020 Hyundai Palisade (approximately 155,856 miles) experienced a serious and dangerous engine-related failure that resulted in a vehicle fire. For approximately 8 months prior to the incident, the vehicle was consuming oil at an abnormal rate with no visible external leaks. This condition persisted without clear cause. While my [XX

Immediately following the failure, the engine compartment caught fire. There were no prior indications of an active oil leak before this sudden failure. The progression from oil consumption to catastrophic failure and fire presents a serious safety concern. This incident created a dangerous situation with risk of injury or worse, and it appears to be more than normal wear and tear. While driving at a low speed (approx. 5–10 mph), the front passenger-side lower ball joint suffered a catastrophic structural shear without warning. This caused the wheel assembly to collapse outward and the CV axle to pull out of the transmission. The failure caused a complete loss of steering control, veering the vehicle into a curb. Physical evidence (outward axle pull and high-side rim scrat
... ches) indicates the mechanical failure preceded the impact. This occurred at only 38,155 miles on a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV. Outward Dislocation: Photos show the CV axle pulled OUT of the transmission and the wheel leaning OUT (positive camber). A curb impact would push these components IN. This proves the wheel fell away from the car first. Pre-Impact Grinding: The interior barrel of the rim and the brake dust shield show heavy rotational grinding and metal-on-metal scoring. This confirms the suspension collapsed while the wheel was still spinning at speed, prior to the car coming to a stop. Structural Shear: The lower ball joint stud suffered a complete transverse shear. High-resolution photos of the broken stud face show distinct "beach marks" (concentric rings), which are the physical fingerprint of a slow-growing metal fatigue crack rather than a sudden impact fracture. Rim Damage Profile: Deep gouges are located on the flat face of the wheel spokes rather than the outer lip. This confirms the wheel was already at an extreme tilt (collapsed) when it made contact with the curb. CONCLUSION: The vehicle was maintained and driven under normal conditions. This was a spontaneous, catastrophic structural failure of a safety-critical component. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this as a potential manufacturing defect for the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV.Read more
