On March 14 2026 i was driving from [XXX] . To [XXX] to have my tires checked because i felt a strong vibration on my steering column and truck itself, it was getting worse so i took it to my mechanic who does my regular maintenance on truck. After inspecting tire ( [XXX] 55 R20) was called over and shown that my front passenger side tire had a flat spot, it looked deformed mechanic informed me
... that the tire had separated from radial. And i need to get another tire right away, since there was non in stock we did the next best thing we took the front passenger tire the affected tire put it in the back and put the rear good tire up front. The next day i was on my way to purchase the replacement tire when the tire blew out. I was on a heavily traffic road [XXX] . I managed to take control of truck doing about 40 mph at the time and drove it off the road to a safer spot to look at damage. Well the passenger rear tire witch was originally on the front that had the separated radial blew a chunk out of the inner sidewall. I put on the spare and went and replaced the tire with another goodyear new tire. On march 28 as i was coming home from [XXX] late at night the driver side rear tire blew as well again had to put on spare and next day took to local mechanics in [XXX] , and checked tire and again i was told that the tire separated from radial and that was the cause of blew out, they inspected all the tires at this point since this was the second tire from the same DOT set with less then 12000 miles that had separated. Well they found a third tire that had aldo separated and had a flat spot on driver side front tire, now there are 3 tires from the same set, coincidence, i dont think so i replaced the second and third tire. One the third day April 1, 2026 the passenger side front tire blew as well, now i have 4 tires that had radial separation with less then 12000 miles and less then a year old, in a mater of a month. On May 2nd, 2026, while driving my 2026 Honda CRV EX, which I purchased less than 3 months ago, I got a warning on my dashboard saying "Brake System Problem: Brake Performance may be reduced. See your dealer." I tried push the break but it wouldn't budge, it was as if the brakes locked. I took my foot off the accelerator and steered myself to the shoulder and pulled on the emergency brake. I kept
... pulling the brake up until the car stopped. I then immediately moved the gear shift from "drive" to "park". Multiple alarms came on showing system problems. The following warning lights came up: Brake system problem, electric brake system problem, TPMS system problem, Transmission system problem, Auto Idle Stop System Problem, Electric power steering system problem, Brake Hold system problem, Vehicle stability assist system problem, Hill start assist problem, Hill descent control system problem, Adaptive cruise control system problem, Lane keeping assist system problem, collision mitigation brake system problem, Road departure mitigation system problem, blind spot information system problem, Auto high-bream problem. At the time that the warnings appeared, I was about half a mile away from a signalized intersection. The brake pedal was difficult to depress and unresponsive. I lost meaning braking ability while the vehicle was in motion. Had the traffic signal at the intersection been red at the moment of failure, I would not have been able to stop the vehicle in time and a collision with cross-traffic or a vehicle stopped at the light would have been likely. After stopping, I turned off the vehicle and then turned it back on. Again all the alarms appeared, I was unable to push down on the brake pedal and the gear shift was locked. The vehicle was then towed to a Honda dealer and is awaiting diagnosis.Read more

Dear Hyundai Customer Care, I am writing to report a safety concern with my 2016 Hyundai Sonata. My Active-Drive 1 PTU failed at 112k miles. This failure happened going down the highway at 65mph. It occurred via a loud clunk and mechanical grinding noise, followed by a “service 4-WD” light. In my case, the failure was not catastrophic and did not cause safety concerns. However, this part runs the risk of seizing all four wheels or losing power to the wheels when failing, which could have
... caused a significantly dangerous situation such as a collision with nearby vehicles or even a pile-up, had the wheels seized. I did not have the part serviced or inspected by the dealer, as in order to do so would have required a substantial fee. It can be reproduced and I would be open to doing so should the manufacturer come to their senses. Unfortunately, despite the lack of recall, this part is known for failure by the manufacturer and a similar component on other models, the AD-2 PTU, was recalled by the manufacturer for the same failure and safety concerns that this part has.Read more

Once this occurs, the system does not a

Notably, there have been instances where the warning indicator illuminated immediately upon starting the vehicle, prior to any extended operation. When the malfunction is present, the vehicle exhibits abnormal driving behavior, including a noticeable jerking or hesitation that feels consistent with a transmission-related issue. The failure is unpredictable in nature, with no clear pattern or triggering condition identified. This creates a significant safety concern, particularly when operating the vehicle at highway speeds or in conditions where AWD capability may be necessary for proper traction and control. An appointment has been scheduled with an authorized dealership for diagnostic evaluation; however, at the time of this report, the vehicle has not yet been inspected or repaired, and the issue remains unresolved.Read more

Complaint: While driving at normal road speed with no collision or impact, I experienced a sudden loud “pop” from the driver-side seatbelt area. Immediately after, I noticed a burning smell coming from the same location. I initially believed I had a tire blowout and pulled over to inspect the vehicle. When I attempted to unbuckle and then re-extend the seatbelt, I found that the seatbelt was
... locked and would not retract or extend normally. The restraint system is now inoperable. This incident appears to be an inadvertent deployment of the seatbelt pretensioner without a crash event, resulting in a restraint system malfunction. The failure occurred during normal driving conditions and without any external trigger. This creates a serious safety risk because: * The seatbelt is no longer functional and cannot properly restrain the occupant * The unintended deployment could startle the driver and lead to loss of vehicle control * The presence of a burning smell raises concern for thermal or electrical hazard within the restraint system I am aware of similar complaints involving unintended seatbelt pretensioner deployment in Ford Expedition vehicles of similar model years. This incident should be investigated as a potential defect affecting occupant restraint systems. I’ve contacted ford with no help to resolve the issue Injury: No Crash: No Fire: No (burning odor present, no visible flames) Speed at time of incident: 35 Mileage at time of incident: 170xxx The vehicle’s seatbelt system remains in a failed/locked condition and requires repair.Read more

... er safety and that of our child. When she was finally able to reach a second Monro location between [XXX] and [XXX] , a technician discovered that one brake caliper bolt was missing entirely and a second was dangerously loose. The vehicle had been driven at highway speeds in a winter storm with an improperly and incompletely assembled brake system for an extended distance before help was found. The second Monro location secured the caliper bolt and confirmed the vehicle safe to continue. The original Fairport location was contacted and their manager acknowledged the issue but has failed to provide any meaningful resolution after nearly four months. In a formal BBB complaint response, Monro Inc. confirmed that the caliper bolt had not been properly secured and acknowledged filing an insurance claim for resulting rim damage — an implicit admission of negligence. I am filing this complaint because an improperly assembled brake system — specifically a missing caliper bolt — represents a serious and potentially fatal safety hazard. If this is a pattern of negligence at Monro locations, other consumers may be at risk. BBB Complaint Case #XXX is on file documenting Monro's formal response and admission. I leased a 2024 Maserati GranTurismo Modena, delivered December 31, 2025. Within the first four months, the vehicle has experienced four tire blowouts during normal highway driving, without impact, collision, or rim damage I provided dashcam evidence showing that the tire failures occurred under normal road conditions. Despite this, Maserati has consistently attributed the incidents to “road h
... azards” and has offered no investigation or acknowledgment of a potential defect. Most concerning, no solution has been provided to prevent recurrence. Each failed tire has been replaced with the exact same specification, despite repeated failures, leaving an ongoing safety concern. I made multiple good-faith efforts to work with Maserati to identify solutions, including alternative tire configurations or safer options for Northeast driving conditions. These requests were not addressed. During a phone call, I was dismissively told by a representative (Anthony) to seek solutions myself. Maserati has refused my request for a buyback or lease termination, despite repeated failures, lack of a preventative solution, and extended loss of use. The assertion that this vehicle is “suitable for normal driving conditions” is inconsistent with its real-world performance. Four identical failures within four months under routine conditions is not consistent with normal operation and indicates a systemic issue, regardless of whether a traditional “manufacturing defect” has been identified. Equally concerning, Maserati’s only proposed guidance is to “avoid road hazards” and reduce speed. This is not a realistic or acceptable solution for operating a vehicle on public roads in the Northeast United States, where such minor imperfections are unavoidable. Advising avoidance of normal road conditions does not resolve the issue and does not ensure safety.Read more

I am filing a complaint regarding repeated failures of the LED tail light assemblies on my 2016 Kia Rio. This vehicle uses combination tail lights that include both standard bulbs and integrated LED brake lights. The LED portion has failed multiple times over the life of the vehicle. I am now experiencing failure again, requiring replacement of multiple tail light assemblies. Each assembly costs
... approximately $400, and my vehicle requires four total units. This results in a significant repair cost for what should be a long-lasting component. LED lighting is widely expected to last far longer than traditional bulbs, and repeated failure raises concerns about product reliability and safety. The failure is intermittent and occurs at the brake light function. At times, the brake light does not illuminate unless the connector is physically manipulated. This creates a serious safety hazard, as following drivers may not be properly alerted when braking. This is not normal wear and tear. Brake lights are a critical safety system, and failure of sealed LED assemblies—especially more than once—suggests a design or manufacturing defect. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed for potential defect investigation, as other owners may be experiencing similar failures with these LED tail light systems. Vehicle Information: * Make: Kia * Model: Rio * Year: 2016 * Trim: SX * Component: Rear Tail Light / Brake Light (LED combo Assembly) I contacted Kia Customer Care regarding this issue and was advised to take the vehicle to a dealership and pay for a diagnostic inspection, with no guarantee that any repair would be covered. Given the repeated nature of this failure, the high cost of the assemblies, and the serious safety concerns for drivers, passengers and others on the road, this response is concerning. Thank you for your attention to this safety concern.Read more

After submitting a formal lemon law demand on March 29, 2026 and escalating the matter, Hyundai confirmed in writing that parts were limited and no defined repair timeline existed. Only after over a year of delay was I later informed that a part may be available. I am reaching out regarding an ongoing issue with my 2021 Chevrolet Blazer. The vehicle is experiencing a noticeable stutter or hesitation when shifting between second and third gear. In addition, there are instances where the vehicle accelerates unexpectedly or more aggressively than intended. This behavior is particularly concerning, as it presents a potential safety issue during normal driving
... conditions. These concerns have become increasingly noticeable, and I am concerned they may indicate a transmission or related mechanical problem that requires prompt inspection and resolution. Please advise if there are any known service bulletins, recalls, or warranty coverage related to these issues. For reference, the vehicle has been properly maintained and this behavior is not consistent with normal operation. Given that this is now the third major issue I’ve experienced with this vehicle, I am hoping this matter can be addressed without additional out-of-pocket expense. After additional research, I have learned that other owners have experienced the same issue. Others have stated the following: 1. Hesitation, stuttering, or jerking between gears Owners of 2020–2021 Blazers report hesitation and jerking during acceleration, sometimes described as gears “shifting in and out rapidly.” Forum users mention sluggish shifting or slipping feelings, especially at certain speeds. Others report hard or delayed shifts at low speeds (like 15–25 mph). 2. Shuddering / vibration (often tied to torque converter) There are repeated mentions of “shudder,” “surge,” or vibration during acceleration. Some cases were linked to: Contaminated transmission fluid Torque converter clutch (TCC) issues One owner said the problem felt like a bad torque converter and required service attention. 3. Unexpected acceleration / lunging Drivers across GM vehicles (including similar transmissions) report: “Jerking,” “bucking,” or “lunging” during acceleration Some describe needing toRead more

I purchased my Honda Pilot 2021 5 years ago. Currently still making payments on it. The Collison Mitigation system warning sign came up on my dashboard about 1 year ago. After that warning sign came on 4 others popped up. Road Departure Mitigation system, Auto high-Beam problem, Adaptive cruise control problem, and lane keeping assist problem. Having all these warning signs come pop up on dashboar
... d is very distracting while driving. Non of these controls are working and I have taken it to Honda to do an inspection. Since, its out of warranty I have to pay out of pocket $2,137.63 to get multipurpose camera unit replaced. Let alone this vehicle is still not paid off. I've also had issues with the starter shutting off while driving. It had a recall and I did get it replaced but I'm still having issues. This is a serious safety problem due to it shutting off while on the street. I been in life threating situations due to this problem. Honda needs to make sure there vehicles are safe for customers. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the adaptive cruise control set speed independently changed. No warning lights were illuminated. The adaptive cruise control was set at 65 MPH, and the adaptive cruise control independently reset to 42 MPH. In addition, on another occasion, the adaptive speed control was set at 65 MPH, however the adaptive cruise control independently reset to 80 MPH. The a
... daptive cruise control and the failure reoccurs based upon the front camera interpreting the speed limit signs on the roadway. The adaptive cruise control adjusts the speed based on the interpretation of the speed limit sign and the difference between the prior speed limit sign at the set speed. For example the last read speed limit sign was 65 MPH. Adaptive cruise control was set to 75 MPH, a 10 MPH difference. The newest detected speed limit sign was misread at 75. The adaptive cruise control independently changed to 85. The same occurs when the misread speed limit sign was misread at 45 MPH. The adaptive cruise control would independently change to 55 MPH from a 75 MPH previously set speed. The random failures almost caused the vehicle to be rear-ended. The failure occurs several times and usually at dusk, dawn, or at night. To override this random behavior, I disabled the speed limit detection/display feature.Read more
