I found out about this recall today. Mazda doesn’t have a fix to this recall yet. I am scared to drive my car in the event of a crash, due to the fact that my airbags won’t go off due to the recall. The contact also stated that the powertrain axle assembly shaft was improperly heat treated during the manufacturing process. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions and remained with dealer often, for two to three weeks each time. The Adaptive Cruise control cannot be used while wearing certain sunglasses. The car has a Driver Awareness Warning that is supposed to warn the driver if eyes are not on the road. In the display, there is a toggle to turn off the Driver Awareness option, but as soon as you turn on the Adaptive Cruise, the Driver Awareness turns on again. If the Driver Awareness function cannot be turned off it is a safety issue. My favorite driving glasses cannot be used and I think this issue will cause accidents with the quick slowing on the highway. There should be a way to turn off the Driver awareness so I can use the adaptive cruise with my sunglasses.Read more

The vehicle was purchased for the express purpose of towing a 6,600 lbs Travel Trailer. This truck is equipt with the 3 liter Diesel engine. While towing the truck computer counts down milage available based on Def level. The count down is not mile for mile it is an exponential count down. This factor triggers a series of warnings concerning vehicle operation and impending speed restrictions.
... 1000 mile DEF range warning is first up. Followed shortly there after with a 300 mile DEF range warning (700 miles had never been reached to trigger the warning). The next warning is "DEF Low (red warning) speed restricted soon". Shortly there after a 500 mile count down starts for the first impending speed reduction to 65 MPH max. This is followed by other speed restrictions that will put the vehicle eventually into a 5 MPH speed restricted mode. When adding DEF to the tank the level has never been below 60% full. Its not empty as the gauge and computer indicate. With each filling of the DEF tank the range you can drive is less and less until the truck is driven without the trailer hooked up. GM has a service bulletin for this situation that has been in place since September 23, 2024 and no permanent repair of solution has been prescribed. During the 500 mile count down to the first speed restriction the instrument cluster is locked out to only display "DEF Empty" and alternately the DEF range counting down. No other safety features are visible such as engine temp or transmission temp important to know while towing. I Purchased this vehicle March 17, 2025 stating my intentions to tow a travel trailer. The dealership no GMC ever made me aware of the Service bulletin of the DEF restrictions. Had they done so I would have purchased a different vehicle with out the associated travel issues. Please reference GM Service Bulletin #24-NA-196 Document ID 6736285. This document was given to me after my 4 visit to a GMC dealership to have the issue addressed.Read more

There were no warning lights, messages or problems on the Fusion prior to this happening. I own two Ford cars that are both undrivable, I cannot get to work, my daughter cannot get to work/school. Ford is VERY aware of this transmission issue but will not issue a recall. Also at times when I put my Fusion into drive, from reverse, the backup camera would stay on for a few minutes which makes driving very hard/confusing and very unsafe. There is a recall on the brake booster on the 2014 Malibu manufactured in 2013 my car is a 2013 and I have the same issue.i have had multiple things wrong.I was driving and had no brakes at all I had to push hard and it finally stopped. My fifth wheel has extreme frame flex which caused compartment doors to come open while traveling sometimes allowing things to fall out while traveling. Having a screw driver falling out and hitting another car was a major concern. Grand Design has the camper to address the frame flex. I believe the frame flex was the cause as sometimes the latches wouldn't engage.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? -My engine started to make a loud ticking and knocking noise. I brought it into Good Chevrolet in Renton WA 6/3/25 where they told me there is an “internal engine failure due to failure of the lifters.” When I asked the dealership for the repair estimate so I could possibly have a second opinion,
... they said they were “not comfortable giving their information and the problem in writing.” They refuse to give us any documentation but were insistent that even though NHTSA has issued a mass recall for this exact same issue on the larger engine in my same year of vehicle, “it’s unrelated.” How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -The engine is failing and had we not brought it in for diagnosis, I could have had full engine failure while driving with my children and been in a catastrophic crash. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -Yes the problem can be reproduced and has been confirmed by Good Chevrolet. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? -Good Chevrolet inspected the engine but refuse to give us documentation though they had us file a claim with GM (I will attach the claim email) Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -I noticed a small noise after I had fans replaced in September but the noise gradually increased so it was brought in for diagnostics.
