We had stopped to get a soda and when we came back out and started the vehicle the steering wheel turned 90 degrees so the straight position was now 12 and 6 vs 3 and 9, I tried to shut the vehicle off and restart it and no change in steering wheel position. I confirmed with the cashier that they were sending us away with a vehicle with a steering issue and the cashier once again just said they could not look at it on that day which I was not asking them to do I just wanted to leave it and go off in a loaner that I was able to get under the extended warranty. We went to the second ford dealer that was closer to our home and they took the vehicle in and 2 different service writers stated they had never seen anything like this before. they had the vehicle for a total of 3 weeks to diagnosis and replace the steering wheel and try to get the wheel back into alignment which took 2 trips. The second visit we met with the master tech at Ford country who went for a drive with us and could see that the Ford emblem in the center of the wheel was not straight and it took them 2 or 3 attempts to get it straight and the master tech with 35 years of experience stated they had only seen this 1 other time in all their years of working on vehicles. I just do not have confidence in the vehicle any longer and just keep thinking about what if this happened while we were driving and not just in a parking lot. When I put the car in park and try to turn the car off the Shift Park message comes on preventing me from cutting the car completely off. I put in back in drive or reverse then back in park it still dings and shows the message. Ratle sound in the engine thinking it may be the timing chain. Code p0430 came on stating catalytic converter bank 2 needs replaced. We replaced o2 sensor downstream on bank 2 code was cleared by shop. After driving a few miles same check engine light came on and i took it to the shop they hooked it up to run the code and it was the same p0430 again

I have installed the latest software update version 3.6.4 which was supposed to resolve the fault backup camera problem that has been persistent since the day I bought the car in 2021. The backup camera continues to fail to engage a majority of the times that I enter the car. I was used to the Ioniq 5 sensors always going on when I was stopped waiting for a green light that I just thought it was the same way. While turning the steering wheel to make small adjustments in direction, the steering wheel has some resistance to a point and then loses resistance causing some over steer. I would use the term "sticky steering" to describe it. The problem can be reproduced any time. Symptoms first appeared around January, 2025. No error/warning lights on dash. I was able to drive the car approximately three more miles to an auto service center. The engine ran very rough the entire time, wanting to stall when slowing down. The mechanic determined that my car’s oil reservoir was 4 quarts

Again, there was no illuminated light whatsoever telling me my car was dangerously low on oil. Because of this low oil condition, one of my timing chains skipped, and the cam rotated approximately 62° out of center. That’s what caused it to run rough. It appears my only options now are to have the engine apart, and hope no real damage was done, or replace it entirely. The engine for my car has been discontinued, with seemingly no suitable replacement from Kia. This could have been completely avoided if my car had alerted me to a low oil condition sometime before. This is very dangerous and it seems it is a common ailment among some Kia cars like mine. A low oil light would have informed me immediately that my car was in need of oil, a critical fluid for proper and safe operation. If I were towing a trailer when this happened, or on a winding stretch of road in snow or ice, this could have been catastrophic.Read more

Vehicle has been serviced at Jeep dealer for repair but continues to emit false messages that the stated safety features are not available. This is a safety hazard due to the alerts causing distraction while driving. Pop up on screen with a beep.

I own a 2019 Tesla Model X. After Tesla upgraded my vehicle from AP2.5 to the FSD hardware module, the front camera view became blurry. I disassembled the camera housing and found that a heated line in the windshield, intended to prevent fog or ice buildup in front of the camera, runs directly through the camera’s field of view. ... with safety-critical features such as FSD, forward collision warning, and lane keeping assistance. The Tesla service supervisor confirmed this is not my fault. He explained the issue may have been caused by heat from the line gradually affecting the glass, or that the upgraded FSD hardware, which captures clearer images, is now revealing a flaw that was previously less visible. He also mentioned that Tesla redesigned this component in newer Model X vehicles to prevent this issue. However, because my car is out of warranty, they are refusing to replace the windshield. Since the FSD upgrade, I have experienced multiple warning messages while using FSD. On one occasion, while driving on the freeway, the system suddenly disengaged and displayed a message saying the camera had weak visualization and the driver must take over. I believe this is a serious safety issue related to the blurry front camera caused by the heated line in the windshield. Although Tesla acknowledges the problem and that it is not due to misuse, they have declined to offer any resolution. I am now unable to safely use the FSD system I paid over one thousand dollars to install, and Tesla has taken no responsibility. I believe this issue poses a risk to driver and public safety and should be investigated regardless of warranty status.Read more
