Component: Faulty coolant control valve causing reduced acceleration and check engine light to come on. Fan is constantly on when reduced acceleration is displayed. Safety: can overheat, reduced acceleration can cause an accident. Problem reproduced: Dealer did check and confirm codes and errors. Dealer confirmed item failed. Coolant control valve needs to be replaced.

Steering wheel frozen in position on morning cold start below 20 degrees Fahrenheit even when car is put in drive. I must warm the cabin for 15 minutes to thaw the steering column or manually pull down on wheel to loosen the column. Since the truck was updated under the recal N242435631, the camera system guidelines no longer work, which is a feature that was sold as part of the the vehicle. Both exhaust pipes before the catalytic converter are cracked and leaking at the same welded mounting bracket. One of them GM is coving under the extended warranty but the other one also needs replaced the turn off the engine warning light. It is allowing exhaust gas to leak under the car and is preventing the emissions from operating properly.
