On April 18th, 2025, I dropped off my 2022 Tesla Model Y at Tesla Collision Center (Paramus, NJ) after a minor accident. I later revoked consent for any repairs via email. Despite this, Tesla performed major body and paint work without my permission. No signed work order exists. The repairs were unauthorized and proceeded without my knowledge or approval until this day. These changes now risk alt
... ering my VIN history and vehicle safety records. I’m concerned this constitutes falsified documentation and could affect resale value, title accuracy, and liability in future accidents. I was never shown a repair summary or given the chance to approve or decline service. Even after I sent a formal cease-and-desist letter on June 6, 2025, Tesla towed my rental vehicle on June 4 (without warning), which I had been using through Tesla Insurance. My personal belongings were inside. The timing suggests retaliation for revoking consent and demanding documentation. There were no mechanical failures or warning lights before this, but my concern is that Tesla falsified records & carried out structural work under my VIN without my legal consent. That poses serious risk to my safety and consumer transparency. The work was done by Tesla’s own collision center. The vehicle is available for inspection. I request NHTSA to review Tesla’s repair authorization practices and investigate whether unauthorized repairs, falsified VIN records, or retaliation have occurred in my case and others. This incident reflects broader safety concerns around Tesla’s internal repair authorization system, which may allow collision centers to proceed without documented customer consent. If vehicle repairs are being logged under owner records without approval, this poses risk to accident liability, insurance disputes, and NHTSA transparency. I request a formal investigation into Tesla’s repair authorization practices and how they affect vehicle safety, ownership rights, and regulatory compliance. Thank you.Read more

The first incident started on 08/16/2024, 2 days after buying the vehicle used from Dealership. I have been encountering a persistent issue with the engine, which exhibits symptoms of underperformance, occasionally necessitating a complete stop. Additionally, the ABS warning light activates intermittently without providing any diagnostic codes before subsequently disappearing. A recent diagnostic check identified several minor concerns. I've also observed a degradation in the vehicle's
... handling characteristics, paired with a "Stability Control No Longer Available" warning message. I have ruled out a fuse-related issue, as all fuses have been assessed and found to be functional. Furthermore, my vehicle seems subject to additional recall considerations. Reports of stability control failures have emerged in various Jaguar models, including the F-Type, typically attributable to sensor failures or malfunctions within the electronic control module. Common culprits for these stability control issues include faulty wheel speed sensors or problems with the ABS control module. Such malfunctions frequently trigger warning lights, suggesting compromised efficiency in the stability control system and its associated subsystems. This instability resulted in me temporarily losing control of the vehicle, culminating in a 180-degree spin and subsequent collision. Reports online: AI Overview Reports of stability control system failures in certain Jaguar models, including the F-Type, stemming from faulty wheel speed sensors or ABS control module issues, could potentially increase the risk of an accident. Here's why: Compromised Stability and Traction: The stability control system (DSC in Jaguar) helps maintain vehicle stability by detecting and mitigating loss of traction or skidding by adjusting engine power and applying brakes to individual wheels. When it malfunctions, you may experience difficulty maintaining control, especially during sharp turns, evasive maneuvers, or on slippery surfaces, potentially leading to skidding and loss of control.Read more

While driving, the infotainment screen (MMI system) randomly reboots without warning. This happens frequently, often multiple times during a single trip. This poses a safety risk by distracting the driver and making it difficult to safely reverse
... or park. I brought the vehicle to the dealership, and they confirmed the only solution is to replace the MMI system. However, I’ve seen many other Audi A4 owners online report the exact same issue. Given how widespread this appears to be, I believe this should be addressed as a manufacturer defect rather than a repair cost placed on the owner. There were no warning lights or messages before the screen began to fail.Read more

Urgent Safety Concern Regarding Defective Uconnect Radio System Shortly after purchasing my vehicle from Bertera in Westfield, Massachusetts, I began experiencing issues with the radio and related components—namely, erratic or "ghost" activity. I returned the vehicle to the dealership on multiple occasions; however, because the issue failed to replicate while in their possession, they were unabl
... e to offer any resolution. The problem persisted intermittently, but escalated significantly during a visit to Logan Airport. While curbside, the vehicle began behaving erratically: the exterior lights flashed, doors locked unexpectedly, heated seats activated, windows became unresponsive, and the vehicle could not be exited—even when approached by a security officer. After powering down and waiting for several minutes (with permission from security, as we exceeded our time limit), the system reset.Despite this dangerous scenario, the dealership again reported they could not reproduce the issue and offered no corrective action. On June 11, in preparation for a trip to Boston, I brought the vehicle to Bedard Brothers in Cheshire, Massachusetts—a certified Jeep dealership. Their technician determined the radio screen was delaminated and causing unintended inputs. They informed me that since my warranty had expired, the repair would cost more than $1,400. On [XXX], during travel to Massachusetts General Hospital, the malfunction occurred again: the heated seats engaged and would not turn off (despite temperatures nearing 90°F), the radio volume spiked uncontrollably, and the prior array of electronic malfunctions returned. Fortunately, I was able to attend the appointment and make it home safely. I have contacted Stellantis, Uconnect, and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. While Stellantis expressed sympathy, they stated they could not offer assistance. My research has revealed multiple similar complaints from other vehicle owners. Any help greatly appreciated. On [XXX], my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse (VIN [XXX] ) experienced a complete transmission failure. The vehicle began to hesitate, jerk during acceleration, and then completely lost the ability to shift or drive. It had to be towed, and the dealership confirmed that the transmission must be replaced. This is extremely concerning because GM previously issued Recall 20V668000 involving missing bolts in
... the start-stop accumulator of the transmission, which can cause fluid leaks and loss of propulsion—a potential safety hazard. Although my VIN does not show this recall as active, the symptoms and failure seem directly related to this known defect. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether this recall should be expanded or reopened to include more affected vehicles. In addition to the transmission failure, I have had to replace the purge solenoid valve three times due to persistent check engine lights and fuel system issues, which suggests deeper reliability issues with emissions and vapor management. Lastly, there is now a hole in the exhaust pipe, which is affecting performance and may pose a safety or environmental concern due to potential carbon monoxide exposure. These multiple powertrain and emissions-related failures within the same vehicle raise serious concerns about the long-term safety, reliability, and manufacturing quality of the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this model year and VIN range further. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

After researching the issue, I believe it may be my electric throttle body ETB that ford acknowledged was an issue and had a customer satisfaction program CPS (CSP 13N03) from Ford for ETB replacement on certain 2009-2013 ,.* Jels, sometimes extended into the early 2014 model. * Electronic Throttle Body Failure * Ford ETBs from this era are notoriously bad. * Carbon buildup, worn internal sensors, or electronic glitches cause the throttle to stick or respond erratically. * The PCM detects an unsafe throttle position → activates fail-safe mode → wrench light + jerking + no throttle. * You restart the car, and the ETB re-initializes until it fails again.Read more

The component that has failed is my electric power steering motor. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. While driving, the steering wheel should turn in a fluid motion, without requiring much force to turn the wheel. When i turn my wheel, it sometimes will get stuck mid turning. Another time when this happens is when i am driving in a straight line. Making the micro adjustments to s
... tay straight in between the lines. The steering wheel will catch, and i will have to exert additional force to get the wheel unstuck. Obviously, this has caused safety issues, as sometimes the strength to overcome the wheel being stuck will cause me to oversteer. This has also been found to be a problem on some 2022 and 2023 year Civics. There is already a recall for this problem, but not for my year civic. It does greatly lower my safety while driving, when i should never be uncomfortable in my own car. The problem has been confirmed by my own mechanic, and by Honda. It has been inspected by my own mechanic as well. There were no indications on the dash to warn me the motor was going to fault. I do not remember the exact date it happened, but sometime last week when i took my car in to have the CV joints replaced. The problem has steadily gotten worse since then.Read more

Engine Head Gasket failure at 68,000 miles (8k miles after warranty). Vehicle enters limp mode at random, including total loss of power on the highway at speeds in excess of 60 miles an hour. All dashboard warning lights turn on due to misfire associated with coolant leaking into the combustion chamber. Appointment with dealership is pending.

The A-pillar trim on the vehicle flew off after being notified that there was a recall for that part. We have contacted the dealership several times about fixing it and have gotten the same response of "there are no parts available yet." The last time getting the vehicle serviced the dealership informed us that there were no open recalls on the vehicle. We checked on this website and found that th
... ere are no recalls that hove not been fixed. The vehicle has never been fixed for this and is currently missing the trim that was recalled.Read more

When accelerating from a stop, there is a lag in the engine shifting into gear, it causes the RPM's to climb before eventually shifting gears and once it does that the whole vehicle jolts forwards. There is also a noticeable lag when the vehicle is shifting from 1st and second, as well as a jolt when it does shift but not as much of a jolt as the initial 1st to 2nd. Once the vehicle is up to 3/4
... th gear, it does not appear to have the same issue shifting. This poses a safety issue in numerous situations. One example being, when stopped at an intersection and trying to make a left hand turn, I have to be extremely cautious that I have plenty of space as to account for the potential lag and not being able to accelerate quickly.Read more

While in traffic over 45 miles per hour, the vehicle placed itself into a hazard mode due to the electric vehicle propulsion system. This happened so fast and the deceleration rate was so quick that it risked a rear end collision. This is the second time this has happened and both were following a heavy rain storm. I drove through a modest puddle that did not even submerge half of the tire wall
... making contact with the road and did so slowly. Less than five miles later, the vehicle goes into what my service advisor calls "limp mode." I have asked General Motors to give me an even exchange or, in lieu of the fear this vehicle gave me, an upgrade to a Cadillac Escalade IQ.Read more

The idle engine turn back on feature has not turned on several times. It has happened a couple of times upon turning it back on after a complete turn off in a parking lot. Also, it has happened in traffic at a stop light on busy roads where I was sitting there dead stopped in the road unable to get the car started. Another time, it did not turn back on as I was pulling out of my neighborhood and w
... e almost got hit because of it. The battery seems to be involved and seems to have to recharge for a few minutes and then it will turn back on. I've called 911 to help me get out of the road, have taken out the battery and put it back, and had it checked at the dealership. I have to remember to use the button that turns off the idle engine turn off feature or it will happen. It doesn't have any pattern or reason to it.Read more

This trailer left the factory in an extremely unsafe condition and this seems to be common with Big Tex Trailers. I'm the 2nd owner but the trailer is pretty much brand new. I was looking around underneath and happened to see a bad weld. I inspected the trailer underneath and found a bunch of welds either completely missing or so poor they might as well be missing. On some welds the joint was comp
... letely missed. The most concerning is that several leaf spring hanger brackets were only welded in 1 spot. If this trailer was loaded to capacity there is no doubt it would cause an accident. Big Tex clearly has no quality control and someone is going to be seriously injured if something isn't done to stop it. This form only allows 10 pics to be uploaded and there are more than 10 structural welds missingRead more

My Honda 2020 ridgeline has intermittent faults on the dash monitor, it displays ACC, LKAS, Collision Mitigation, High beam, lane departure warnings, and sometimes transmission problem. I am told it is the muti cable assembly sensor on the front window not communicating with the other sensors. I took my car to auto zone and they stated no communication, due to a bad battery. I replaced the battery
... , and it still has the multiple errors/ fault codes. During research several people have had this problem with Honda vehicles. At times it goes away for a day or two and then comes back with the same faults. It seems like a faulty part. The dealer wants 1800 for repair and calibration of sensors, this was after they ran a diagnostic test and found no engine faults/codes.Read more
