2021 Silverado tailgates often stop working due to a faulty, corroded electronic switch caused by water intrusion. A major 2020-2024 GM recall exists for this, which can cause unexpected opening. The upper radiator hose on some huge percentage of these trucks fail (mine has failed at just over 20K miles). You can check the Colorado Chevy forum, youtube, etc., et al, and find plenty of instances where this has failed. The engine oil cooler failed causing engine oil to leak into the coolant system on my 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD. This requires a full replacement of the coolant system. In addition, excessive sludge buildup inside the motor is caused. This is a known issue with GM for 2024 Diesel vehicles. GM has released a service bulletin but is fighting my local dealership on the required repairs.

Upper radiator hose leak with 36,750 miles(just out of warranty) 3 days after it was at dealer for oil change and replacing the heat shield. Apparently VERY common in these vehicles which says they are aware but haven't FIXED the issue, should be a RECALL!!

While driving in grocery store parking lot. The brake booster completely failed with no notice almost causing me to hit someone. I had to throw the truck in park while moving to avoid hitting pedestrians. The brake pedal is completely compressed to the floor as I was stomping the brakes in an attempt to stop. Had I not thought quick enough I would of hit at least 2 people.
