Details of the Incident: In June 2025, I brought my truck to Tracy Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM after experiencing engine misfires, loss of power, and a knocking noise. The dealership diagnosed a P0303 cylinder misfire and noted a fuel smell in the engine oil, as documented in repair order #[XXX]. Despite extensive diagnostic work—including compression tests, leak-down, and injector swaps—the misfire remained unresolved, and a tapping noise persisted. The technician explicitly noted fuel contamination in the oil and suspected internal engine damage due to a fuel system issue. To further investigate, I submitted an oil sample to Blackstone Laboratories. The lab confirmed the engine oil was heavily diluted with diesel fuel—over 10% fuel contamination, which reduced the viscosity from 5W40 to the equivalent of 5W20. This is consistent with HPFP failure leaking fuel into the crankcase. The oil report also noted excessive steel wear and recommended immediate oil change and fuel system inspection. At no time was a check engine light present, nor was there a clear diagnostic code for HPFP failure. When I asked them to please tell me what had occurred, they told me the transmission suddenly went from 5th gear down to 1st gear due to a "Transmission Molded Lead Frame issue" I had no idea what he was talking about, and he said the fix is a simple one that involved a computer software update. Well, I learned that in 2019 there was a "Customer Satisfaction program" for this issue but the problem is I knew nothing about it and when I purchased the vehicle in 2022, I wasn't told about this. Now, the Ford dealership I took the truck to said the "Customer Satisfaction program" that was issued had expired and I would have to pay for the repair. Mercedes recalled 324,000 vehicles for this defective fuel pump between 2012 and 2020 (abc news). They recalled over 143,000 vehicles from June 2021 to 2023. My model, GLE350, was included in both recalls. I called Mercedes customer service. They said my car was built in February 2021, and there is no recall for this vehicle. There have been recalls for defective fuel pumps from 2012 to 2020, and June 2021 to 2023. I strongly suspect my vehicle built in February 2021 has the same defective fuel pump. (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer twice, and they say there is nothing they can do and to wait for a possible software update, but none has come and it has been over a year. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. Around 7k miles on the vechicle, driving down the road it kept coming to a stop and skipping. Pulled into the parking lot the best that I could and put it into park. After it wouldn't shift into anything. Never gave any dash signals. It is currently in the shop getting a whole new transmission.

GOOD DAY GENTLEMEN: THIS REPORT IS CONCERNING A KNOWN, ONGOING AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH LEXUS LC500 CARS FROM 2018 UP TO AND INCLUDING 2025 COUPES AND CONVERTIBLES. THE PROBLEM CONCERNS THE DOOR HANDLES/ACTUATORS. APPARENTLY WATER SEEMS TO BE THE CULPRIT. THE REASON I AM NOTIFYING YOU IS GOD FORBID A DRIVER GETS INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT FIRST RESPONDERS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EXTRICATE THE OCCUPANTS EASILY VIA THE DOORS. THE DOOR/ACTUATORS FAIL AND OWNERS REPORT THAT THEY CANNOT OPEN THEIR DOORS AT ALL WITH OR WITHOUT THEIR KEY FOBS FROM THE OUTSIDE. FORTUNATELY I HAVE A 2024 COUPE AND THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED TO ME AS OF YET BUT I DO EXPECT IT TO HAPPEN EVENTUALLY BECAUSE I HAVE MULTIPLE INTERACTIONS WITH MANY LC500 OWNERS AND THIS IS REPORTED CONSTANTLY.
