I feel that this is a safety concern due to the fact that if the brakes are applied in an emergency situation, the ABS fails and the brakes lock up. The truck can go into limp mode which is at 35 MPH. On a state highway, moving at that speed- that is NOT safe. I paid $500 for shipping along with $3,000 cash down. I purchased it from out of state so I had to have the vehicle shipped to my work site. ... power steering system being faulty. I immediately contacted the dealer and he agreed to have it repaired and advised me to “take it to a mechanic you trust”! I did so and the mechanic called me to inform me that the manager of the dealership tried to convince him to put junkyard parts on the vehicle to fix it. The mechanic was infuriated and insulted by this and advised me to contact an attorney. I paid the full amount for the repairs totaling over $2,000 because he did a job he was asked to do and rightly deserved to be paid for doing so. The mechanic and I tried multiple times to contact him for repayment and he has not paid nor responded. I have all of our conversations and will happily attach them to this email. I’m furious because the vehicle was knowingly shipped to me in an extremely dangerous condition and I was forced to drive it to my house 13 miles away as well as the mechanic shop another 6 miles. I emailed the Attorney General of Virginia and reported the incident. It’s my goal to protect other customers from experiencing this kind of behavior and treatment. A local dodge dealership has gotten the vehicle and have done a complete inspection. The safety of my dad and daughter were at risk do to the car malfunctioning on the highway. As well as them sitting on the side of highway. And now the stress of all of this on my dad’s health has started causing him to not be able to eat, if he does eat he will throw it up. His mental health is declining due to KIA and GWC denied to fix the car now. My dad has had to pay for towing, a U-Haul res talk to get home, the Dodge dealership has gotten to do full inspection. Unknown if any warning lights or messages before hand. He bought the car with cash and it had 70,177 miles on it, when rod blew it had 78,784. I have also taken the vehicle to dealerships multiple times, and their “solutions” have been limited to replacing wiring harnesses or attempting unrelated fixes that clearly do not address the root problem. This not only wastes time and money but also shows that dealerships currently have no remedy for this defect. What concerns me most is that this is not an isolated incident. Many Durango owners across the country are reporting the same issue online, with no clear resolution being offered. This points to a widespread defect in the infotainment system that directly impacts vehicle safety. Drivers are being forced to operate without reliable access to navigation, backup camera visibility, or other safety-critical functions integrated into the screen. This issue needs to be addressed at a national level by Dodge/Stellantis before it results in accidents or injuries. Simply replacing wiring or pushing the burden onto individual owners is not enough — a real fix is necessary to protect driver and passenger safety. The reason I am submitting this form is because my 2016 Veloster Turbo has an open recall out for premature wear in the bottom end (bearings and rods) and my car has been experiencing the same problems. I have had the highest rated shop in my area to look at the wear directly and it is clear this is the problem with the engine. Despite this all attempts to contact dealers and the manufacture have
... resulted in those parties claiming my unit was not affected during the recall and therefore there is nothing they can do to help me. It is clear my engine is experiencing the exact problems detailed in the recall and I have treated this engine as well I can as I had knowledge of these problems, even still my engine is only a couple hundred miles away from blowing up completely and not running. When this car was bought I added a catch can to specifically help with the premature wear on the engine as well as never revving the engine to over 5,0000 rpms. As well to both of the previously mentioned conditions I have consistently changed the oil every 3,000 miles or before with the best oil and oil filter money can buy. Despite all of this and treating the car as well as I possibly could I still experienced significant terminal damage to my engine and I haven't even hit 99,000 miles yet. This whole experience has been awful and near impossible even for me someone who is very well equipped to handle car problems and I can't imagine how a regular family with basic car knowledge could ever navigate and handle this situation accordingly. All I am looking for is some type of help in any way to move forward my car is still running and driving but if I continue to drive it, it will most definitely blow up leaving me stranded. I was driving my car from Houston to Dallas when I got the "reduced propulsion" message and a check engine light. When I first saw the reduced propulsion issue I thought it might be related to the BECM issue again since I had already experienced that problem before. In the last few minutes of my trip the AC started to get hot and when I checked the coolant temperature I noticed it was around 240 -
... 255 F. I hadn't noticed it since there was no warning light for high temperature which I am used to with other cars. I'm not sure of the full extent of the issues yet, but I know for certain that the EGR valve has failed completely at about 71,500 miles. This is with very few miles on the actual ICE. I typically only use the ICE for a few hundred miles of driving each year. Fortunately for me, even though the CEL came on for the reduced propulsion I was able to reach my destination. However, when I went to leave, the car left me stranded as the ICE would shut down after a few minutes of running. The propulsion system is reduced and the engine becomes unavailable. Only the battery power will allow the car to drive. The F3 fuse in the EGR circuit blows if the engine is activated, and has happened multiple times already confirming the EGR issue. I have additional check engine lights that are a result of the EGR failure to circulate coolant properly. Below is a list of all the CEL codes that were pulled: P06DB P0030 P0031 P0403 P0405 P0443 P0458 P0489 P0597 P0598 P06DA P0AC4 P0135 P0AC4 P16E0 Looking into this issue I found that this is an one of the most common failures in the Chevy Volts but is no longer covered under the vehicle warranty and no bulletins posted for an extended warranty other than the BECM failure. I was ensured and promised that the car does not have anything wrong with it and that it goes through inspection and diagnostics, that the vehicle cannot be sold without being tested, fixed of any problems and brought to standard. I brought this to the attention of the salesman, owner, financial advisor, service advisor, service manager. I requested a full buyback and replacement of my 2020 CT5. My dealership let me know that they still want me to pay for the valve body, battery, ambient air temperature sensor and rear parking brake motor. I had to call Cadillac corporate/General Motors to have the valve body covered & rear bumper covered/replaced. I was brought into the dealership office and was told that the buyback and replacement was denied by General Motors even though my car was showing symptoms of a defective valve body ever since I financed the car. These things were being ignored by the dealership service department. Laggy and rough acceleration as well as shifting. Strange vibrations and noises coming from the car. Slow moving and the shifting was very jerky and abnormal. The shifting was also very loud and took long times to shift 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 gears.Read more

On Aug 15th, 2025 I went to pick up my children from school. As I picked up my child and turned the vehicle on to go pick up my second child, the car notified me on the dash board of 4 icons. I called Chevrolet dealership where I purchased it from in February, explained everything and they said i needed to take it in to a Chevrolet dealership near me. I called the nearest Chevy dealership and they said to bring it in the same day or the next day. Saturday Aug 16th, 2025 at 8am I was at the dealership. They checked to see what codes ran up and if it was safe to drive, they pulled 4 codes and told me it wasn't safe and I needed to leave it for 10-14 days minimum. They said they could not provide me a vehicle / loaner. I had already called Chevrolet Customer service the day before to receive assistance with a temporary vehicle as the dealership had told me they had no loaner to provide. I explained to Chevrolet Customer service that I am a disabled & handicap veteran with children. I do not have a secondary vehicle and it is a necessity as i drop off and pick up my children and attend medical appointments. The employee was able to open a case for me and send it to the regional person around my area. No one has called me. Today Saturday, I dropped off my vehicle and picked up a rental according to the guidelines provided by the Chevrolet employee for reimbursement a GM vehicle under $44 a day. This is a huge inconvenience , unacceptable from a new 2025 vehicle. Ot has put me in a hardship position financially. The hassle, my Traverse has handicap plates and my rental does not. Very upset and frustrated. I need as much support and help from GM / Chevrolet to resolve this SAFETY issue for my children.Read more

The MGU (motor generator Unit) is failing. Appears to be a known issue with Chrysler. Problem is that this part is not available. Was told that there are over 3,000 backordered parts with no eta. The dealer said that they had several on backorder from May. This is a 2019 product and there is no reason that this part should not be available.

The shiny black interior located on the center console is highly reflective resulting in sun glare shining into your eyes for a large portion of the day. This causes serious visibility issue while driving and is a safety hazard. I reported this issue to the dealership within two weeks of purchasing my car. ... , or anyone else inspect this issue, but am agreeable to having this issue inspected upon request. There are no indication lights or alert systems related to this issue. The engineers have given instructions such as inspecting the electrical system, replacing the main module and software updates all of which have not corrected the problem. The vehicle is still at the dealership with no resolution. Apparently, these issues have been reported before not only for the Jeep Grand Wagoneer but other Chrysler vehicles as well. As a loyal Jeep customer, I purchased this vehicle because of the safety features advertised. However, it has become a nightmare and I do not feel safe driving in this vehicle at all.
