... over time. I understand that this is a known defect in GM vehicles, and that GM issued Technical Service Bulletin #19-NA-206 to address it. According to the TSB and owner reports, this problem is caused by a faulty park switch or microswitch inside the shifter assembly, and the solution involves installing a jumper harness and/or replacing the shift control assembly. This is both a functional and safety concern, as the vehicle may not recognize it's in Park and could potentially result in a failure to turn off or secure properly. I’m requesting that General Motors or an authorized dealer perform the recommended repair per TSB #19-NA-206 at no cost, as this is a widely reported manufacturing defect. These failures show that the electrical system is unstable and unpredictable. On [XXX], after the latest no-start incident, the dealership’s service manager told me directly that the issue was “more than just a bad battery.” Despite this acknowledgment, the only action taken was to replace the battery for the fourth time and declare the vehicle “repaired.” Jeep’s customer care initially agreed that the history showed a deeper safety issue and promised to open a STAR engineering inspection, but that inspection has never been scheduled. Instead, I am being pressured to pick up and drive a vehicle that the dealership itself admitted has unresolved electrical problems. This is not just a matter of inconvenience — the risk of sudden electrical shutdowns while driving, or the loss of critical safety systems such as brakes, steering modules, and cameras, presents a clear hazard to my family and others on the road. A vehicle with this history should not be returned to service based only on repeated battery swaps while the underlying defect remains unidentified. I respectfully ask NHTSA to investigate the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III for systemic electrical failures and to ensure that Stellantis does not force consumers to operate unsafe vehicles that continue to suffer from recurring electrical shutdowns. Despite multiple ignition coil replacements, repeated ECM flashes/reprogramming, and assurances that the most recent updates would permanently resolve the issue, my Crosstrek continues to suffer from clunking, rattling, difficulties accelerating, rough idling, and even complete stalling when idling or in hot temperatures. At my most recent visit to Bloomington Subaru, the ECM was not loaded with the current software, ECM C1424 and C1422 and Diag Trouble Code P0011 code. There are 5-7 Subaru bulletins about ECM and these codes. I had this b4 2yrs ago yet the dealership won’t assist with repairs or costs associated with this defective oil control valve part as well as the defective design in the ECM / ECU and this specific engine in the 2019 Crosstrek, of which is no longer produced or manufactured. This gravel is with potholes and some rocks starting w/ grades 5-6%. I was a passenger in the car. At one point I thought we were going to hit the on-coming car, because the brakes were not working properly. (4) An appointment is being made w/ the dealer to inspect the car. (5) (On 8/23) I am not aware of warnings or messages. (On 8/24) A “ABS” alert appeared on the display sometimes.
