I purchased a 2016 VW Beetle, used, in March of 2025. Over the past few weeks, I have received multiple urgent messages from Volkswagon that I need to have the airbag fixed. The communications say there is a high risk of death or serious injury and urge me to my have the repair done ASAP. They have sent multiple mailings to me and made several phone calls to my home. I am doing everything
... in my power to get this fixed. I have called all the local dealerships within a 50 mile radius, but they do not have the appropriate parts in stock, and have no idea when parts will be available. I am told that the car is safe to drive (which is the exact opposite of what the mailings say) and they tell me to simply "call back in a month". I have also tried calling customer service at Volkswagon HQ, as well as the 800 numbers on my mailings. No luck. This is not acceptable. With such a dangerous issue, how can this be allowed? These cars need to be fixed.....many Volkswagon owners are TRYING to get them fixed....but Volkswagon is just shrugging their shoulders and saying there is nothing they can do. I'm attaching a copy of the message I received in the mail just this week. You can see how urgent they have indicated this is. They mailed it out KNOWING they do not have the parts available to do my repairs. They scare us that we'll be killed if we don't get the repair done immediately, yet when I call to schedule my repair, all I get is "sorry, we can't help you."Read more

I am the original owner of my Honda Pilot and have always taken the vehicle to Honda dealerships for all scheduled maintenance and service. On [XXX], I noticed the air conditioning was blowing only warm air, with no cold air at all. I scheduled an appointment at Germain Honda in Beavercreek, Ohio, where the vehicle was inspected on July 28, 2025. I was informed that the A/C system had suffered wha
... t is often called “A/C black death” and that the entire A/C system would need replacement at a cost of $6,753.93. I was also told that no parts were available and that I would be contacted when they became available. I have not been contacted since. When I asked why this happened, I was told it was rare and that I was just unlucky. However, my own research has shown that many Honda Pilot owners (and likely Ridgeline owners as well) have experienced the same failure, sometimes repeatedly, even after dealer repairs. Honda has issued recalls and extended warranties for A/C failures in other models such as the Civic and CR-V, but not for the Pilot, despite widespread reports. This is a serious safety issue. Where I live, July and August were extremely hot. The lack of A/C made the vehicle unsafe to operate, as every year children and pets tragically die in overheated vehicles. Driving without functional A/C in extreme heat creates a health hazard for families. I was unable to use my vehicle at all during these peak summer months. My Pilot has fewer than 100,000 miles, has been well maintained, and should not have suffered a complete A/C system failure this early in its life. Honda has clearly known about systemic A/C issues in multiple models yet has not taken responsibility for Pilot owners. Subaru owners have reported experiencing premature parasitic battery drain in vehicles equipped with Starlink in-vehicle technology. As 3G networks within the U.S. are no longer functioning, the call will continuously fail even after the vehicle has been turned off, drai

According to those familiar with the issue, the only solution to the battery drain defect is to remove the DCM fuse, thus disabling vital safety features such as hands-free calling. This issue is happening to me specifically, as I have had to jump my car multiple times within a week long period if in a bad cell range area. When exiting the interstate and coming to a complete stop at the bottom of the exit ramp we went to make a right turn onto a two lane mountain road when we felt a hesitation and within seconds the engine began to sputter, we lost power and the check engine light came on. This was a two lane 55MPH road with no shoulder pull off. Thankfully there was no oncoming traffic in the other lane and ther
... e was also an abandoned fruit stand parking lot which were were able to drift across the road and stop in. We experienced a COMPLETE loss of power. Had there been oncoming traffic or no open parking lot just across the road we might have experiened a crash. It is important to note that we were on a vacation in the mountains and thankfully our RV was parked at the Campground we were not towing it at this time. We had to find a tow service to have the vehicle towed to the nearest Ford Dealership in the area. The Dealership notified us that there were metal shavings/flakes in the lower fuel filter housing. They told us that this was a Complete Fuel System Failure and that we would need a complete fuel system replacement of all parts. We had been notified of the recall (Safety Recall Notice 24S78/NHTSA Recall 24V957) in January 2025 and we had taken it to the local Ford Dealership who advised there was no fix for the problem at this time. The Dealership that our truck was towed to after this incident advised us that we would have to pay for all the repair costs (excess of $10,000) as this was still an open recall. We feel that this is a MAJOR safety issue - we were due to leave for home the following morning where we would have been towing a 7500lbs travel trailer on the interstate roads. Had we experienced this failure then it could have been truley tragic for not only us but other motorists. After this incident we called Ford Motor Company and advised them and they told us it was still considered an open recall with no fix available.Read more

I am writing this correspondence so you are aware of the recall and put it on your radar to track. I plan on writing again if a significant amount of time has passed with no remedy per Ford's direction if we are having difficulty getting our vehicle repaired in a "reasonable" amount of time. There is no reason Ford should be producing faulty, no remedy vehicles. Families have to rely on their vehicles and should feel safe and confident, not worrying if the car stalls mid highway with their child in it.Read more

I own a 2017 Honda Accord “Touring” model that has developed an intermittent audio problem (described below) that is a safety issue because it causes serious driver distraction and impatience to reach a destination to turn the car off. There is NO WAY for the driver to stop the problem without turning the car completely off. Despite numerous reports from others (documented below), Honda has no
... t issued a recall. It is hoping that a “goodwill discount” of 40% or so (offered only if the owner knows to demand it) will prevent a recall. The ONLY fix is to have a Honda dealer replace the OEM “audio head unit”. Without the “goodwill discount”, the installed cost is $1,400 - $1,600 to fix a condition that is obviously out of warranty. The problem is that in hot (85+) weather, even with the audio system turned OFF, a modest “scratching” sound begins from all speakers, gradually becoming a loud, continuous static which lasts for 3 or 4 minutes and then gradually tapers off to silence. If I turn audio power ON while this is occurring, the static instantly becomes intolerably loud until I turn audio power off; then the scratching continues for a few more minutes until it gradually disappears. When this problem is not occurring, the audio system plays normally. This problem is significantly frequent. 10,000 to 15,000 such cars were sold. •CarComplaints.com lists 170 such complaints under the Electrical System and Other Problems categories. •CarProblemZoo.com lists 99 general equipment complaints; the static noise issue stands out as the most common recent problem.. •DriveAccord.net, a popular owner forum: “2017 Accord Radio Static” has around 470 posts.
