i bought a brand new truck in march 19 2025. it was a Volvo vnl 860 tractor. The incident happened on June, 7, 2025. i was driving on i81 northbound near exit 228 Verona city, Augusta County. i was in the left lane and my speed was 70 mph and approaching a bridge suddenly a SUV from right lane comes into my lane and hit my truck from right and then comes in front of my truck makes a direct front i
... mpact. i was shocked by this impact and trying to keep my truck in my lane but my all my truck safety features are stop working and lane departure features fails and my truck going into one direction only i was trying to keep the truck in left lane but the truck only goes to right side and due to this my truck hits the bridge guardrail and then get off from the bridge into the water. there is a clear failure of the lane departure feature failure because the truck was out of control and controlling itself. secondly the airbags on my truck didn't deploy even i had direct 3-4 impacts. For the result of these failures i was seriously injured and have life threatening injuries.I want to submit this because i want to help others as well. i am out of work right now no one here to help me. i need some help or compensation from Volvo.Read more

My 2020 GMC Acadia has experienced significant transmission issues, including [slipping / shuddering / “Service Transmission” warnings / loss of drive]. The problem has been diagnosed as a torque converter/transmission failure. GM has acknowledged known defects and issued recalls for 2019–2020 Acadia transmissions related to missing bolts in the start-stop accumulator endcap, which can caus
... e fluid leaks and lead to torque converter/transmission failure. Many other owners have reported similar transmission issues, suggesting a systemic defect with the 9-speed transmission used in these vehicles. Despite these known issues, GM has declined to provide assistance with repairs. This failure compromises the safe operation of the vehicle, and I believe it warrants further investigation and potential recall.Read more

Tonight, shortly after dusk, on a lightly traveled road near my home, the high-beams failed to function as described in the manual, or according to any alternative way to activate them. Traffic is 30 MPH with a single lanes divided by a double yellow center line with cat-eyes. This area frequently has deer and other wildlife. Accordingly, whenever possible, high beams should be activated. Conditio
... ns were dry, and clear, without oncoming traffic -- while driving at or near the posted limit. Pushing and persistently holding the high-beam light maintained high-beam only while pressing the high-beam marked part of the steering wheel. Typical operation, in the past, operated the high beam if the button (capacitative sensitive surface on the steering wheel) was held in for about a full second and then released. This is no longer how it operated tonight. Driver pushed the high-beam for a full second. Upon release the high beams reverted to normal low beams. Driver repeated this 2 more times. After doing this twice, the driver is already distracted from wildlife and starting to focus on the car -- looking for error messages of some kind. After three times, its clear that it is Tesla software that is broken. Although the car is in good repair, no messages were presented. Again, conditions were clear and dry. Failure to operate visibility mechanisms is highly contrary to safe driving. Some features which should always work: 1. Wind shield wipers; 2. Defogger 3. Defroster 4. head lights 5. high beams Hopefully, Tesla has not abandoned functional high-beams like they have with Full Self Driving. On the other hand, if FSD is no longer among the executive compensation goals, perhaps providing a visible landscape to the all-camera FSD algorithm is also superfluous.Read more

Vehicle is hard to turn since it is locked in to all wheel drive . I had Northtown Jeep ( dealership) look at it and they knew what it was just after one quick ride around the building. The A/C evaporator core in my 2017 Volvo XC90 failed prematurely, cracking and leaking refrigerant. This is a well-known problem among XC90 owners from model years 2016–2020. Repair costs are USD$5k+ because the entire dashboard must be removed to replace the evaporator. This is not normal wear and tear. Volvo has issued multiple Technical Journals (e.g. TJ 35912.1.0 -- attached -- and later re
... visions) instructing dealers to install an additional resistor in the evaporator temperature sensor harness when replacing the evaporator. This proves Volvo knows there is a design defect causing evaporator cracking and failure. However, Volvo corporate has declined to assist with repairs for my vehicle. Driving without A/C in high summer heat presents a serious risk of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, particularly during long commutes (I drive over an hour each way daily). The HVAC system is also critical for defogging and defrosting the windshield. Loss of refrigerant and evaporator performance can impair defroster operation, creating visibility hazards. The combination of extreme cabin heat and impaired defrosting creates an unreasonable risk to safety, not merely an inconvenience. In addition, right now it costs me just a few hundred dollars to refill my AC system every summer. This is what I've been doing for several summers now. But the Volvo quote to fix this factory defect was over $6k. So that means myself and thousands of others are all incentivized to just fill up R134A and have it leak out, harming the environment in the process. Volvo's refusal to recall and fix this issue is causing this economic incentive. It should be on them to fix their failure, not us. I asked Volvo corporate to goodwill this repair but they declined to do this (see attached).Read more

I was driving to work yesterday morning- busiest time of day on probably the busiest road in our area. My car started freaking out randomly. It popped up numerous errors. As soon as I can trade this car off and get something else, I will be. We still don’t know what it’s wrong with it. We are going to have it towed somewhere on Monday. The vehicle is a 2024 Honda CR-V EX-L with approximately 13,000 miles, purchased at Gillman Honda in Houston, TX on May 29, 2024. The issue involves the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) activating without any obstacle present. The first incident occurred in February 2025 at around 11,000 miles while driving on a feeder road at ~25 mph. The vehicle suddenly braked to a complete stop even
... though the road was clear. There were cars behind me, and although they stopped in time, it created a serious risk of rear-end collision. Had I been traveling at a higher speed and the car braked completely, this could have caused the vehicle to flip or lose control. The second incident occurred on September 4, 2025 at ~13,000 miles while driving on a busy street at approximately 40 mph. The vehicle suddenly braked very hard for no reason, but did not fully stop — instead, it resumed immediately. It felt as if the car “took a screenshot,” braking sharply then continuing. This was especially dangerous since I was traveling at a higher speed, and vehicles behind me could have easily collided with mine. Both incidents put my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk. The vehicle was brought to Gillman Honda on September 16, 2025. The dealer acknowledged the safety concern and kept the car for inspection. On September 19, 2025, the service representative confirmed they had contacted Honda corporate and opened a case because of the seriousness of the issue. The car is still being held at the dealership pending corporate guidance. No warning lights, error messages, or prior alerts appeared before either incident. This appears consistent with a known problem that has been reported by many Honda owners in recent years involving unintended braking by the CMBS system. The defect makes the vehicle unsafe to operate, and at this point we no longer feel safe driving it.Read more

I am reporting a serious intermittent safety issue with my 2016 Nissan Murano, which I recently purchased from a private seller. On multiple occasions, the vehicle suddenly stops accelerating after driving for approximately 20–30 minutes, including multiple local stops. When this occurs, the engine continues to run, but the car becomes completely unresponsive to throttle input and cannot be move
... d, even when placed into gear. This has happened in live traffic situations, posing a clear risk to safety. In each instance, after the car sits for a period of time or is connected to an external battery charger, it eventually restarts and operates normally—until the issue repeats. There are no warning lights or messages on the dashboard, and no diagnostic trouble codes are stored in the system. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Nissan dealership, where it remained for over a month. They reported being unable to reproduce the issue and could not identify any mechanical or electrical faults. The alternator tested fine, and they returned the vehicle to me with no repairs or resolution. Since that time, the issue has occurred again. I believe this may involve: A low-voltage electrical problem, possibly a blown fusible link or intermittent charging system failure A bad ground or wiring fault affecting the ECM, TCM, or fuel pump A voltage-sensitive sensor or relay malfunction that fails under heat or load but does not log a fault A condition causing the CVT transmission to disengage due to insufficient power This issue has rendered the vehicle dangerous and unreliable, especially since it fails with no warning and then unpredictably recovers. I am filing this complaint in hopes that NHTSA will investigate this failure pattern, which appears to be consistent with known Nissan electrical and CVT system complaints in other model years. If this is a known defect, Nissan should be held accountable for providing a resolution, even outside of warranty.Read more

While driving in heavy highway traffic at approximately 5–10 mph, the vehicle suddenly displayed a red warning message and symbol in the driver’s gauge cluster indicating the car was shutting down. About 15–20 seconds later, propulsion was completely lost, although power steering and braking remained available. I attempted to change gears and restart the car by turning it on and off, but no
... thing worked. I activated the hazard lights since the car was stopped in traffic and posed a danger to surrounding vehicles. Because the vehicle would not respond, I opened and closed the driver’s door and then attempted to restart. At that point, the vehicle restarted, and I was able to continue driving. Out of caution, I remained in the slow lane for the rest of the trip home in case the problem occurred again. The incident created a serious safety risk in the middle of highway traffic. The failure matches the description in BMW’s recent recall (25V395) involving electric drive motor software that can erroneously shut down the high-voltage system after displaying a red warning. However, the manufacturer’s recall lookup currently does not show my vehicle as included. This issue has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center.
