I was going down a highway using the lane keeping assistance feature. Suddenly the vehicle stopped following the road and ran me into a ditch. I was able to steer back onto the road, but if the ditch had been deeper I believe there would have been a rollover accident. The root cause is that when the audio system is turned up in the vehicle, the warning chimes do not interrupt the music or sound lo
... udly enough to be heard over it. When the vehicle needs manual intervention assistance staying on the road, the driver may not hear the warning sound in time before the system disengages. ... t I was heading home after getting food. After a push to start that’s when it trapped me inside. Called 911 in Rocky Mount Nc. All they were worried about is a OnStar button. If I had to wait on them probably would’ve been dead. Cause they have to ask a multitude of questions. Rescuers never came. While OnStar was on speaker I thought to check to see if I had the app available to unlock the doors. Usually I don’t pay the bill for it thought the remote way was better. Due to the fact that the app takes a while to upload and could update at anytime as well as signal issues in certain places. Luckily it was setup on autopay. Although it did take a little while to load I was kind of at ease knowing OnStar was still on the speaker. Spoke with a Gm specialist about doing a recall. Instead expressed that, that’s if my vehicle is even eligible for an upgrade. Had suggested the installation of physical unlock levers instead they ignored the suggestion. This is a deadly safety hazard not only for myself but for others as well. Especially if they are not alert about it. When I found that the key fob wasn’t rechargeable inside the vehicle after being trapped inside it. I bought a battery from the Chevy company that was brand new but still a dead battery. Which caused me not to be able to start the vehicle at all. The only thing that help was recharging the battery on the Apple Watch charger by removing the battery from the key fob. Not everyone knows that and still isn’t a good and or safe reliable method to use cause of uncertainty of battery life. Let the car go back for this reason.Read more

Since May 2025, my 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV has experienced repeated electronic malfunctions with the central display and instrument cluster. The screens have frozen, flickered, and rebooted multiple times while driving. On one occasion at approximately 75 mph, the entire display and instrument panel shut down and did not return for about two minutes. The vehicle continued to respond to steering,
... brakes, and propulsion, but I was driving completely blind with no speedometer, warnings, or navigation. I slowed down and exited the highway to give myself space and carefully made it home. This was extremely stressful and left me concerned for my safety and my family’s safety. In another incident while stopped at a traffic light, the system froze while music was playing and the vehicle became unresponsive. It only restarted after I shifted into Park and restarted the car. The “Buckle to Drive” safety feature has also failed twice. This feature was enabled, but the vehicle allowed me to shift into Drive without the seatbelt engaged. In the most recent case, I drove for about five minutes before the reminder appeared. I have video evidence of this failure. In July 2025, the vehicle lost all connectivity (OnStar, GPS, and remote functions). This issue was eventually fixed, but I had to drive for several weeks without these features while waiting for a backordered part. The vehicle has been at the dealer since July 14, 2025. Many internal components have already been replaced, and one part is still on backorder. There were no warning lamps or error messages before the failures occurred. I am not confident that these problems have truly been resolved, because if such issues can happen with an extremely new vehicle, it raises serious concerns about what to expect from the long-term reliability and safety under warranty.Read more

Several safety-critical systems on my vehicle are failing, and the symptoms match existing recalls shown on Kelley Blue Book for my VIN. However, the manufacturer (Dodge/Stellantis) shows only 4 recalls, all marked completed — despite ongoing issues. 1. ABS / Brake System: The ABS warning light is on continuously, indicating a malfunction in the ABS control module. This disables anti-lock braki
... ng, increasing the risk of skidding or loss of control during emergency stops. KBB shows a recall for this issue, but Dodge says it’s either not open for my VIN or already completed. The ABS light has remained on since 2. Front Wheel Bearing: There is a grinding noise and vibration from the front wheel area, suggesting a worn or failing wheel bearing. This poses a risk of steering loss or wheel detachment. No warning lights have appeared for this issue. 3. Transfer Case / 4WD: The 4WD system intermittently fails to engage or disengage, sometimes with clunking noises or jerking. This can cause unpredictable handling or loss of traction. Issue is still ongoing. 4. Electrical System: Intermittent electrical issues include random warning messages, dimming lights, and occasional no-starts. These affect essential safety systems and match known electrical recalls. These issues have not been confirmed by a dealer but are ongoing and present serious SAFETY risks. I believe my vehicle may have been incorrectly excluded from applicable recalls or that prior recall work was not properly completed. These components are available for inspection.Read more
