My vehicle was also serviced under [insert recall number if you have it] at [insert dealer name], as required by Acura, and I have attached records conf

This failure appears to be related to the same type of connecting rod bearing or crankshaft issue currently under investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA Preliminary Evaluation PE25008), which covers the 2018–2020 Acura TLX with the 3.5L V6 engine. Given that: •I have properly maintained the vehicle as recommended. •The recall repair was performed, yet the engine failure still occurred. •NHTSA is investigating this exact issue as a potential defect affecting safety and reliability. When driving long distances, the steering wheel encounters a sticky area where the steering wheel gets stiff to turn and then all of a sudden loosens up causing excessive corrections. I lifted my foot off the accelerator to slow (but had not applied the brake) and the car lurched forward. I braked, took my foot off the brake, and the car worked normally. These incidents put my car at risk of collision with a wall and another car coming toward me, respectively. The system is available for inspection on request. When driving the Jeep Cherokee (51,000 miles), I experienced numerous incidents where the car experienced sudden power loss climbing a grade followed almost immediately by numerous warning lights and a message that "4WD System Unavailable" as well as a message that the forward warning system had failed. Under these conditions, the car struggled to make even 50 mph and would only do so in a much lo
... wer gear at 4000+ rpm. Prior to each incident, the car had been driving smoothly at 70 mph at approx 2200 rpm. Both the Jeep dealer and the local repair obtained the same error code (DTC C14A7-97 PTU Motor Component) indicating internal failure of the PTU (transfer case). When the repair shop removed the transfer case they found metal shavings in the PTU lubricant. With no PTUs available from the Jeep dealership for months it was necessary to purchase a salvaged PTU at near-new pricing. I note that there is a similar recall but it does not cover my vehicle. I also note there are numerous NHTSA complaints for identical problems being filed nearly daily for 2017-2021 Jeeps. This defect is a serious safety issue that can result in complete driveline failure or an inability to maintain speed with traffic. It also results in approx $5000-7000 in repair costs for each PTU replacement.Read more

... e. After the inspection was performed, the contact was informed that parts remained unavailable and that he would receive a call once parts were available. The contact spoke with another mechanic at the dealer who informed the contact that the inspection was performed to see if the rear axle bolt had fractured and if the bolt was fractured, the dealer would be required to remain at the dealer until the repair parts were available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Magnetic chest clip will pop open after clipped. With one finger underneath you can entirely pop it open. Our original chest did the same thing, so chicco sent a new one and now just about a year later, this one also failed. Chicco is now sending a non-magnetic chest clip to remedy, however, this seems to be a further reaching problem. I am a CPST.

1st incident vehicle lost power while operating. No way to operate hazard lights, steering and control goes dead and wipers come on continuously. 2nd incident car was returned from dealership. 15 minutes into the drive on a busy highway in Minneapolis car began to replicate similar issues. No power, no hazard lights, SOS call button is inoperable as well.

The fuel pump control module failed while I was driving. My vehicle shut down in the middle of the road. I was unable to put my vehicle in neutral to move it off the road. A tow truck had to come in order to get it out of traffic. The next day we had it towed to the dealership who replaced the fuel pump control module. The engine failed two years ago at 86000 miles. Hyundai replaced the engine for it to start knocking and stop working a year later. I completed all of the first oil changes, slow driving, ect. Seems like an engine problem with Hyundai itself.
