The bike is prone to stalling as you come to a stop and are pulling in the clutch. It can happen without warning. There is also an issue with the side stand. It stacks out pretty far and if your boot touches it can kill power delivery leading to a sudden loss of power.

The OEM Hankook Dynapro HP2 tires (size 225/60R17 99H, DOT 15MJF BU HA 2523) installed on a 2024 Chevrolet Trax developed premature tread wear and sidewall weakness well before half of their rated 65,000-mile life. At approximately 33,900 miles, one tire suffered a nail puncture in the sidewall and was confirmed irreparable by Discount Tire in Houston, TX. The shop also noted uneven tread wear con
... sistent with early degradation. The condition creates an elevated risk of tire failure or blowout during regular driving. The tires have been properly maintained at recommended pressure, used under normal conditions, and never abused. No TPMS warnings or visual damage were noted before the incident. Hankook Tire America was contacted for warranty support but denied all coverage, citing an OEM exclusion despite earlier correspondence indicating potential incentive coverage. The company declined inspection or goodwill replacement. This outcome raises concerns about premature wear, sidewall durability, and the adequacy of manufacturer support for OEM-supplied tires. The affected tires remain available for inspection if requested by NHTSA.Read more

I am writing regarding my 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, which recently suffered engine damage due to a faulty head gasket. I understand the vehicle is approximately 5,000 miles over the 60,000-mile warranty; however, I believe this issue should not be my financial responsibility given the circumstances. At around 60,000 miles, I brought my Jeep in for a full service and inspection to ensure it was i
... n top condition. I was informed at that time that everything looked fine and that there were no issues to address. Since then, I’ve continued to maintain the vehicle properly and drive it with care. The sudden head gasket failure, which ultimately led to engine damage, came as a complete surprise. This situation has been extremely difficult — not only because of the unexpected cost, but also because this Jeep was meant to be my long-term vehicle. My family and I have been loyal Mopar customers for years, and I’ve always trusted in the quality and reliability of your vehicles and service network. Given that I sought professional service and maintenance through authorized channels, and that no issues were identified at the time, I kindly request that Mopar consider a goodwill repair or assistance. I don’t believe it’s fair to be held financially responsible for a mechanical failure that likely existed but went undetected during a recent inspection. I’m grateful that nothing happened to me on the road, as I was unaware of the developing problem under the hood. I truly hope Mopar can stand behind its reputation for integrity, safety, and customer care by helping me through this situation. Thank you for your time, understanding, and continued support. I look forward to hearing from you soon.Read more

In September I started to notice a strong fuel odor coming from my 2013 Ford Explorer. I had the exterior of the vehicle cleaned thoroughly to ensure no gasoline was spilled on the vehicle while refuelling. The smell did go away temporarily, until I refuelled the vehicle. The odor has returned, and will not go away. On 10/6/2025 I took my vehicle to a local mechanic that works on my vehicles. A

It is hard to identify the exact source without lowering the tank. They mechanic also informed me that Ford has a safety recall issue for something similar, 13S04. I checked with Ford and while there is a recall for the same model and year of my vehicle, my 2013 Explorer is not a part of the recall. I have contacted a local Ford Service Center and am waiting for a response from them.Read more

I have taken my car to the dealership now 3 times for the same recall issue. This time, they are telling me Hyundai will not repair my car on their end because of "sludge buildup" to which i was not aware. I submitted all records of maintenance and they are refusing to fix my vehicle. I now have an inoperable, because not safe, vehicle that is legally required to be fixed by Hyundai for it's reca

It will not accelerate quickly, could go up in flames, and does not go the speed limit on highways which are required for me to get home and to work. The recall was confirmed by the dealer as the check engine light flashed and caused a certain code to pop up for maintenance. The solution would be for Hyundai to fix the car, but they are refusing and saying the whole engine needs to be replaced now even though there's nothing wrong with the engine.Read more

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the contact stopped and then attempted
... to accelerate, and the engine revved abnormally, and the vehicle hesitated while accelerating. The vehicle began to decelerate unintendedly with the check engine warning light illuminated and the message “Engine Malfunction/Engine Malfunction Power Reduced Service Now” displayed on the instrument panel. The contact continued to drive to the dealer at approximately 30 MPH. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the repair was not covered under the recall because the remedy was not available. The contact stated that the engine previously overheated, and the 3-way or multiport valve associated with the radiator and overflow had disengaged. The valve was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced in March 2024. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 45,848. The VIN was not available.Read more

I called to report these issues because my vehicle was not inspected before I left the lot. We canceled our paid trip and headed back to TX. While driving, the gas and oil pan light would turn on (2-3 min) then go off. While on the freeway, suddenly, the car shuts off. The best way I can describe it during the process is (sitting in a parked car with the ACC position) everything is working but the car isn’t “on”. Due to MPH being stuck at 23, I can say I was literally going the speed limit (60-65, flow of traffic) to 0! The phones were still charging, lights, and dashboard stayed lit, hazards light worked, and we literally rolled until the car stopped! Since this is a rental by law it should have been checked before handing me the keys. The employee handed me the keys and pointed to the car from his computer. As soon as I was aware it was a problem I called multiple times to report this. When the situation was not properly handled by Avis the first 4 times, I called the police. I requested to file a report and the officer did not show, however, Harris County sent a tow truck. I will be filling a police report in the morning. Description of Defect/Incident Model and Feature: This complaint concerns a significant safety defect in the Driver Attention Monitoring System (DAMS), which is specifically the Forward Attention Warning (FAW) feature, on the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5. The Defect: The DAMS system is generating false positive "Pay Attention" warnings with an excessive, loud, and high-pitch chime multiple times per hou
... r while the driver is clearly and actively paying attention to the road. This happens regardless of driving conditions (city, highway, sunlight, darkness) and without any valid trigger. Safety Consequence (The Critical Issue): This issue appears to be a systemic defect, as numerous other owners have reported the exact same pattern of frequent false warnings on online owner forums and social media groups. E.g. [XXX] , [XXX] The false warnings create an unreasonable risk to safety in two ways: Driver Distraction: The constant, intrusive, and erroneous auditory and visual warnings are a direct and severe driver distraction. The driver is forced to look away from the road to confirm the system status, check the camera light, or physically gesture to the camera, which is counterproductive to safe driving. Warning Desensitization: The high frequency of false alarms leads to the driver becoming desensitized to the warning chimes. This creates a severe risk that the driver will ignore or dismiss a future legitimate warning from the Forward Attention Warning or other critical safety systems, potentially resulting in a collision. Request for Action: I am filing this complaint to urge NHTSA to investigate this pattern of false warnings in the Hyundai Ioniq 5's DAMS/FAW system as a safety-related defect. The current behavior of the system creates a hazardous condition on the road that requires a prompt engineering solution or recall. ... o over 35 mph. Extremely DANGEROUS speed on a highway commute. She was able to finally get off highway. The car stalled. No warning lights ever lit. She was close to home at this point. Drove it home with barely any power. Got it towed to the dealer and transmission was blown and they will not cover it because it’s past warranty of 5 yrs (2nd owner). The car is a 2019 with 53k miles. It should not need a new transmission. Apparently this car is now having many transmission issues. There was a service campaign issued by Kia back in 2018, 2020, and 2022 for this exact problem. Clearly there is an ongoing issue with their transmission. But since it is not a recall, the consumer has no way of know this until after it’s too late. When a transmission just shuts down without any warning, this is a MAJOR safety issue as you no longer are able to properly drive the vehicle. This should be a RECALL. Not an in-house technical bulletin announcement. There’s an abundance of safety concerns associated with this. Let’s not wait for somone to get killed in a car crash because it’s not being corrected by doing a recall on these transmissions that is a continual ongoing issue.Read more

The engine in my vehicle has experiences major failures in valve flap adjusters, multiple valve failures, valve cover issues, and over consumption of oil by over a quarter in a week and a half of average driving. My safety was put at risk because the engine failure resulted in traction control malfunctions while going 70 mph up hill on a major interstate. This led to extreme shaking which did not
... stop until slowing down to below 15 mph. Luckily I was a mile from an exit and was able to coast off the road quickly; it was decent enough weather, and I was less than 5 miles from my destination so I could creep between 15-30 mph to not exacerbate traction control alarms. That slow mph did back up traffic behind me. As far as I am aware the problem was likely reproduced by the dealership service tech, which led to their recommendation to replace the whole engine. They do not consider it to be covered by any warranty anymore. The engine may be in their possession still, but I am unsure. There were zero warning lights/prompts from the vehicle that anything was going wrong prior to the shaking and loss of traction control at high speed. The dealer service team suggested that my high miles led to the engine failure. I do highway driving with it and have followed all manufacturer recommendations for oil changes, and even more frequent changes with OEM oil since about 80k miles. I do not think this engine should have failed at this amount of mileage. I made note of oil consumption around 95k miles and measured oil loss regularly. It was a little less than a quart every 2K to 3k miles which manufacturer states is within spec so I would top off oil. A year ago it had a TCM wire replaced after burning in half. 3 weeks ago I also had to replace the entire turbo. The wire rendered my car unable to go in gear. The turbo failure put me into limp mode. I think the turbo failure was a sign of a deeper issue that went undiagnosed.Read more

Due to the manual locks being looked at as a safety issue, I went and looked at the REAR door manual release for our Model 3. We also have a 2023 Model Y and I know they have a rear door release, as stupid as the location is, it is there. Well to my surprise, there is NO MANUAL REAR DOOR RELEASE in the model 3!!! How is this even safe? You're supposed to crawl through the front seats and go out t
... he front door? Or even worse, fold the seats down and exit through the trunk? What happens if you're stuck in the back, can't get your seatbelt off? What if you are incapacitated?? What if you get rear ended and then pushed into the car in front of you and it makes it so the front doors are unable to be opened? (this happens quite often) What if the car rolls over, is upside down and you can't get to the front? There are a million situations that make a rear manual door release necessary. How does this even pass safety inspection??? How do you (as a department) even allow this to be acceptable. How are children supposed to do this? This has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of and here I am, driving my kids every day around in it. They should be required to either retrofit it with a release that's accessible or replace the rear doors with an accessible release. I'm just in awe as to the failures here.Read more
