This vehicle is not equipped with an Auto High Beam feature. The result of this is that when the Headlights are in Auto Mode, the Manual control of the High Beams is disabled. Most people leave their headlights in Auto mode to ensure that they dont forget to turn them on or off, but then the high beams are inoperable. This can pose a significant safety concern when you consider that when someone i
... s driving and needs the use of the high beams they have to take their eyes off the road to fumble around with the headlight dial so they can turn it to manual to enable the use of the high beams.Read more

The infotainment system of a brand new 2025 Blazer EV is doing blackouts, flickers, and changing commands and requests. While this may sound trivial - and if this system just did the radio - I would agree. However it controls most all the sub-systems of the car from Charging, to Display, to GPS, Environmental, etc. While at home it is just annoying and frustrating - we traveled to VA from FL th
... is past week. Traffic was horrendous due to a closure of I95 in SC - ALL traffic was forced onto 2 lane country roads. Attempting to use the Controls, adjust GPS for alternatives, and adjusting displays - the glitches were causing either unexpected actions - or distracting longer than expected and causing near accidents. In addition I report that the "collision avoidance" is marginal or dangerous. Dangerous with it engaging maximum braking for a Marker-Barrel that no where near my path - to not engaging well enough when vehicles were rapidly braking (and they did not have brake lights). Finally - the GPS system "changes" destinations on its own. Again with the display flashing and blacking out - it is difficult to notice these "changes" when travelling on back-roads with insanely heavy traffic.Read more

Honda Odyssey Idle Stop system failure Vehicle: 2020 Honda Odyssey (Elite) Incident description: While driving, the vehicle's "Idle Stop" system engaged as I came to a complete stop at [e.g., a traffic light, intersection, stop sign]. The engine shut off as designed, but failed to restart automatically when I released the brake pedal. This left my vehicle stalled and disabled in the middle of [e.
... g., an intersection, a lane of traffic] with no forward power. I was scared as there were lots of cars behind me in the intersection. This has happened over a dozen times. Safety risk: This failure created an immediate and dangerous safety hazard. My vehicle was a risk for being rear-ended by traffic from behind, and my family was stranded in a vulnerable position. The vehicle was unable to move out of harm's way, and I had to put the vehicle in park and manually restart the engine. This is unacceptable for a system designed to work seamlessly and automatically. Additional information: This is not an isolated incident. The auto start-stop failure has occurred multiple times since March 2025. The system failure has put me and my passengers in a position of significant risk multiple times. Failed component: The vehicle's "Auto Idle Stop" (AIS) system, which failed to restart the engine after it was automatically shut off. Resolution: An immediate and permanent recall is necessary to address this dangerous defect. Existing service bulletins have not corrected the problem. I urge the NHTSA to require Honda to provide an effective, long-term solution to ensure the safety of Odyssey owners.Read more

We were towing a fifth wheel camper with our truck on an interstate highway in Pennsylvania when our serpentine belt burst suddenly and without warning. Our truck is a 2025 model with only 10,000 miles driven. We lost all power steering and power brakes of both the truck and the camper and the motor shut off while we were driving at 65 mph. My husband struggled to gain control of the truck and
... camper which was severely fishtailing and was eventually able to get over to the shoulder and stop the vehicles. We were towed to a GMC dealership where a factory technician happened to be on site providing an in-service for the dealership's service team. He inspected our truck and we were told that he said that GMC is aware of catastrophic failures in these serpentine belts. We were also told that he took photos and was sending a report to the GMC factory regarding our situation. When the serpentine belt blew, it damaged fan blades, shroud, oxygen sensors and our air conditioner belt (which fell off 200 miles later). We had absolutely no warning of the sudden catastrophic failure of the serpentine belt and came close to losing our lives. Our biggest concern is that the serpentine belt was replaced with the exact same model of belt that failed. What does it take for a company to recall a known defective belt? A fatality? We were very fortunate to have walked away without injury or losing our lives. We have written a letter to GMC but they have not contacted us as of yet.Read more

I lose power steering randomly. When this occurs I get a service rear diff message on my dash, the fan motor cuts out, and gauges like the speedometer and tachometer go to zero. I took it to a dealer because I saw there was a recall for the exact problem I'm having with power steering, but I guess it's VIN specific and my car is not included in the recall. They also told me they couldn't get it to
... reproduce the symptoms I was talking about but after I left 10 minutes later it did it in a Walmart parking lot. I got it on video. This has caused one almost serious accident and multiple minor ones, and I can't afford the expensive dealer diagnostic fee and repair. I don't feel safe driving with it. I'm confused why I have the same make model and year of the recall but mine's not included. I called GM and the lady I talked to just kept repeating how my van wasn't included in the VIN specific group, and offered no help other than to go to a dealer and pay them to fix the same problem that is covered by other cars of the same year, make, and model. I asked her if it was possible that maybe their VIN groups should be expanded, especially because it's an 8 year old car and the recall just happened like 6 months ago, so maybe they didnt have all the data or info when they made the group of effected vehicles, and she hung up on me. My 2019 Kia Soul is experiencing severe and abnormal engine oil consumption. This issue requires frequent refilling of engine oil to prevent damage. The malfunction is in the powertrain system, likely within the GDI engine, specifically related to the piston rings. This type of structural defect can lead to a sudden and catastrophic engine failure while driving, which poses a serious safety hazard
... to occupants and other motorists. The problem has been confirmed by me, the vehicle owner, through the observation of consistent and rapid oil level depletion. Prior to a complete failure, there were no specific warning lamps or messages related to this issue. The manufacturer, Kia Motors, has declined to perform a proper technical review, citing an expired warranty and my status as a second owner. I have opened three separate cases with Kia regarding this matter, all of which were closed without a proper resolution. I am requesting an investigation into this defect by NHTSA.Read more

On September 1, 2025, at approximately 11:30 PM, I was driving my 2016 Ford Edge (VIN: [XXX] ) Southbound on Red Arrow Highway near [XXX] , returning home from work. Without any warning lights or prior symptoms, the vehicle suddenly lost all ability to provide power, even though the engine continued running. The transmission stopped engaging gears, and the vehicle began making grinding noises whil
... e rocking back and forth violently. The posted speed limit on this section of road is 45 MPH, and there were several vehicles traveling behind me. The sudden loss of propulsion created an immediate traffic hazard, forcing me to pull over onto a very narrow shoulder, putting myself and others at risk. After coming to a stop, the vehicle could not shift into drive or reverse and had to be towed. The failure was diagnosed by Pro Transmission in Benton Harbor, MI, which confirmed a complete transmission failure. The odometer reading at the time was approximately 154,000 miles. Ford Motor Company has acknowledged transmission issues in this model and year through a Customer Satisfaction Program, but coverage is limited to vehicles under 10 years old and below a specific mileage threshold. My vehicle qualifies by age but exceeds the mileage limit, even though the transmission failure occurred suddenly and prematurely. This vehicle has also been subject to multiple recalls, including one for engine coolant leaks and two new ones (for the backup camera and brake line leaks). These repeated failures raise broader safety and reliability concerns. The sudden transmission failure at well driving posed a serious safety hazard and nearly caused an accident. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Ford’s known transmission defect in the 2016 Ford Edge and consider whether the existing Customer Satisfaction Program should be expanded to include higher-mileage vehicles experiencing the same issue. Mike's Tires Plano [XXX] ) [XXX] [XXX] Ten days later, one of the tires started to have a slow leak. On Oct 5, 2025, I visited a nearby National Tire & Battery store to have it checked. And was told that the tire is not repairable, si
... nce it already had a sidewall patch and the same patch had a leak again. After some research, I found it was illegal to sell and install sidewall patched tires in Texas, since it is unsafe to drive with such tires. (A failed patch on the sidewall dramatically increases the risk of a sudden and catastrophic tire blowout, Most professional tire shops will refuse to repair sidewall damage because of the significant safety risk and liability involved) A common criterion for an unsafe used tire is one that "has a repair to the tire in the tread shoulder, sidewall, bead area or belt edge area." On Oct 6, 2025, I went to the tire shop to ask for a refund or to replace other safer used tires. But the owner refused to do any, and even refused to admit that his tire is a sidewall patched tire, saying it is safe to use and legal to sell. I am writing this letter to complain that this business unlawful and unethical practice puts people's lives in danger. Texas Transportation Code Sec. 547.612 [XXX] “(f) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a person who owns or operates a business that installs tires on motor vehicles or an employee of the person may not knowingly install an unsafe tire on a motor vehicle to be used on a public street or highway.” INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I had zero symptoms of this happening before it actually happened. I regularly had maintenance done on my car. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed that Honda just declined my goodwill repair after a month of waiting on them to “review the case”. I purchased a 2018 Chevy Traverse with 6 miles on it. I keep my vehicle in mint condition and maintenance as needed and required. Recently in the past few months my car has been bucking when shifting gear engages in an automatic transmission. I took to dealership, and they stated it was the torque converter, and my vehicle has exactly 20,270 miles only. Not even passed the 36,000 marks but over
... 36 months. I bought an extended warranty thru Dealership which now sending someone to dealership to verify that this is infact a torque problem which were found 2017 and 2019 but not 2018 is hard to believe. They will be keeping it for 7 days and already had a recall for 2017 and 2019 so are they stating it only occurred in those years, and they fix the 2017 but then it skipped 2018 and jumped to 2019. Why have I not received any recalls since I buy most of the GMC vehicles and lived in the same home for 35 years. Its awfully strange that I never receive any recalls when I owned Silverado truck, Savana High Top Van with special needs lift, Pontiac Torrent, Chevy Traverse. The warning lane change or the blindspot warning shut off too. Was told to wash the window on the front and on the camera back and did not clear the sensors. Was told to check transmission fluid and it was fine and I do oil changes since my dad taught us every 2500 -3000 depending on driving and if only little mileage check it anyway monthly with the dip stick.
