While driving home from work the truck displayed numerous trouble codes including ebc failure, braking failure, traction control failure and trailer brake failure as well as vehicle governed to 42 mph. I took it to the dealership and they checked all of the braking system and could not find any issues. They reset the codes, and changed all 4 pads and rotors as all 4 wheels were 1/32 out of true as

At the stop sign I had no braking at all. Pumping the brakes resulted in no braking or pressure in the pedal. Luckily there was no traffic and I was able to use a hill to stop. I turned around and went the mile back to my house and was unable to stop again ending up with the front end in my neighbors yard. I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership where they still have not found a cause or a solution to the issueRead more

In early January 2026 there was rough/delayed shifting, whining noises, and fluid leaks. Probably linked to the faulty UA80E/F transmission type. The check engine light came on 1/15/26, I took it into a local repair shop. The mechanic flushed and changed the transmission fluid, replaced all of the spark plugs and the serpentine belt. I picked it up on 1/16/26. There was still shuddering, strange s

The car completely broke down on the freeway and wouldn't drive at all. I had to slowly pull over to the shoulder of the freeway and have the car towed to the repair shop. They inspected it and said I need a new transmission, and it cannot be fixed. I believe the next steps are to have it towed to the toyota dealership to have it looked at.Read more

There are 2 components of the vehicle that I believe are malfunctioning. The first component would be the brake system. At first the problem presented itself when going down a parking garage it was approximately 5 miles an hour while applying the brake and the brake suddenly got stuck and really sticky, I had to apply extreme pressure to the brake to get the vehicle to stop completely. It was only
... after I put the vehicle in park, turned it off, removed the keys from the ignition, open the doors, and then restarted the car afterwards where the brakes would become unstuck. Since that first incident in summer of 2024, there has been other similar incidents when I am breaking in a parking lot at lower speeds, on side streets at lower speeds, or any other circumstance where I would be applying the brake at lower speeds. The brakes would get very sticky hard to press and would not come to a complete stop unless using extreme force. This is a very scary incident because if there was a vehicle a pedestrian and we weren't able to stop the vehicle then we would have crashed and potentially hurt someone. We brought this up to our mechanic and he was not able to reproduce the issue. The engine light does not turn on for this issue and we are not able to produce any engine light codes for the braking issue. This issue continues to happen until this day and it is scary when it does happen. The second component that we believe is malfunctioning has to do with the suspension system, the air ride system. We have taken this problem to our mechanic since 2019, 2020. They've been able to temporarily repair the issue but after some time the part breaks down and we believe that this is a manufacturing issue. There is a warning lamp that appears. What happens is there is air constantly being pumped into the suspension and is drawing electricity from the battery and ultimately affecting other parts of the electronic components.Read more

The dealership did not inform me of an active Acura safety recall related to the issue and stated that they “do not check Acura recalls.” Based on their assessment, I proceeded with repairs at my own expense. I paid approximately $435 for the replacement part purchased from an Acura dealership and about $300 in labor to an independent repair shop. After the work was completed, I later learned that the same issue was covered under an active Acura safety recall. The problem has since been confirmed by both the independent repair facility that performed the work and an Acura dealership that verified the recall applies to this vehicle. When I requested reimbursement under the recall, Acura offered approximately $312.91, which does not cover my actual repair costs. Prior to the failure, there were clear warning signs including steering vibration, noise, and handling instability that worsened over time. No dashboard warning lights appeared before the failure. In addition, I have identified multiple NHTSA complaints in the database from other owners of 2016 Sonata Hybrids (VINs beginning with KMHE) describing similar highway shutdowns and hybrid system failures, which raise concern about a broader, unaddressed safety defect not currently covered by existing TSB or recall actions. Dash Delamination: The leather dashboard is experiencing severe delamination and pulling away from the substrate, specifically in the area surrounding the passenger-side airbag. Visibi

Audi has acknowledged this "process weakness" and issued a Limited Warranty Extension (AWA-23-11) for 2019-2020 Q8 models. Despite this, my request for a safety-related repair was denied due to over 80K. The issue should be considered under mileage. Starting in July/August 2025, my 2019 BMW X3 (G01) suffered a total failure of multiple safety-critical systems, including the Emergency Call (eCall) system, the rearview camera, and frontal collision/pedestrian alert sensors. These failures were accompanied by a persistent "Emergency Call System Malfunction" warning on the dashboard. BMW Service Information Bulletin SIB 65 12 22 acknowledges a ma
... nufacturing defect where the roof-mounted antenna housing seal was "not optimal," leading to water ingress. This water ingress has damaged the Telematics Control Unit (TCB), which manages these safety features. I have contacted BMW North America and local dealerships; however, they have provided a written refusal to repair the damaged internal electronics because the vehicle is out of its original 4-year warranty. Safety Risk: This defect leaves the vehicle in a non-compliant safety state. In the event of a crash, the vehicle cannot automatically notify emergency services (eCall failure). Furthermore, the loss of the rearview camera and collision avoidance systems significantly increases the risk of a crash or injury. BMW is aware of the defect that causes these safety systems to fail but has not issued a safety recall to address the resulting hardware damage. This issue is currently the subject of the Craft v. BMW of North America class-action lawsuit.Read more

Vehicle: 2016 Hyundai Sonata VIN: [XXX] While stopped in traffic with my foot firmly on the brake, my vehicle begins to accelerate before I release the brake pedal. This is not normal “creep” — the engine increases RPM and the vehicle moves forward as if the accelerator is being applied, even though it is not. This condition has occurred multiple times and creates a serious safety risk. T
... he vehicle surges forward, sometimes 20 mph, unexpectedly and has almost caused several collisions. This rapid acceleration can easily cause a collision with a pedestrian or the vehicle in front of me. The onboard diagnostic system repeatedly reports a camshaft position sensor fault. The sensor has been replaced, but the problem returned, indicating the issue is not the sensor itself but a deeper engine or electronic control malfunction. Because this vehicle uses electronic throttle control, I am concerned the engine control module is misinterpreting throttle and brake inputs and failing to properly apply brake-throttle override. The vehicle is effectively accelerating against the brake. This is a dangerous and unpredictable condition and represents a potential defect in the throttle/engine control system. This is clearly a safety-related issue that warrants investigation before it results in a serious crash or injury. I have the 6.2 L87 with the 10 speed transmission in my 2025 Sierra. At cold start, when auto stop restarts the truck, when the truck downshifts under 20 mph down to 12 mph the engine or transmission makes a chirping/squeak/squeal sounds. Several repair attempts have been made, parts replaced. According to GM and their “field engineer” this is a “normal characteristic of the dfm system”.
... They claim that it has to do with ignition timing. Not my first dfm truck, but it is the first to make this noise. There is not very many components in “the dfm system” that can make a metal on metal squeak/chirp/squeal sound other than lifters/pushrods, but the noise could be coming from the transmission/bell housing area. I am fairly certain this is an early warning sign of engine or transmission failure. Truck currently has 7,800 miles. If this was an actual “normal behavior” for this engine, all of them would make the same noise. But out of 7 other trucks with the same engine and transmission that i have started/drove, none of them made the noise. It has made this noise since i purchased it brand new. On Oct. 14, 2025, this vehicle experienced a sudden catastrophic engine failure while driving approx. 70 mph on a highway. While in the passing lane, the vehicle began to lose power, shake, and wouldn’t accelerate. The check engine light came on just moments before a loud explosive noise came from the engine, and a burning smell came through the vents - the engine completely shut down. This fail
... ure occurred with other vehicles on the roadway, creating a serious safety risk. I was forced to quickly maneuver the disabled vehicle across multiple lanes of traffic to reach the right shoulder, where I called for roadside assistance. The vehicle was inoperable from that point forward, it would not turn on, and was towed from the scene. There were no warning signs prior to this event. The vehicle had been operating normally before the incident - I had recently checked the oil levels, there were no warning lights, no drivability issues, and no known mechanical problems before the sudden failure. This led me to find the vehicle was subject to an open safety recall addressing engine damage consistent with this failure; NHTSA Recall 19V120000. On Oct. 27th, the vehicle was towed to an authorized Kia dealership in Prescott Valley, AZ for recall inspection. The dealership advised the connecting rods failed and blew 3 holes through the engine block, confirming catastrophic internal engine damage. The manufacturer required a recall-related software update be performed before reviewing the engine failure under the recall. The software update was completed in Nov., but the manufacturer later declined to repair or replace the engine. Kia Corp. refuses to address the safety recall entirely, and instead repeatedly mischaracterizes the issue as a warranty matter - they are unwilling to provide a written explanation of how the failure falls outside the scope of the safety recall 19V120000, despite the failure matching the recall’s described defect & consequences.Read more

I got the truck with my mechanic few and body/auto repair guy and observed a 1/4 inch UBolt that holds the lead spring I believe hitting up against another bolt on the r
... ear suspension and I cant access or open the drain plug too check the differential. Also there are a lot of loose wires under the dashboard, that already made me trip once, and Im a disabled veteran. Can you please help me get that taken care of?Read more

ICCU failure at 71k miles on 2022 Kia EV6. Owned for 46 months, original owner. 12 volt battery also died when 18 months old, which left me stranded and I had to be towed to dealership Never missed a service or recall update

turbo charger and catalytic convertor both failed at 50k miles. the 2017 and 2018 buick encores have a safety recall for turbochargers but the 2019 was not included in that recall despite it having the exact same engine and turbocharger.

The AWD module failed with less than 60,000 miles on the vehicle. I live in the Northeast and we get some brutal weather, especially snowstorms. I believe this part should be under a broader recall as it was the same grounding issue as reported in the other current recall for a certain production date escape for its awd module this year. I have always owned a four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive
... vehicle, and we love to take scenic trips especially in winter for something to do. The only inspection of the module was the Tunkhannock ford dealer that replaced it. The system did warn me after filling up with gas that there was an issue. I feel that this could have gone really bad if we had been in lake Seneca, Killington or driving up to Bangor. It is the whole idea of it not working because of a single bad grounding wield that shuts all the traction control off to get stuck out in very little snow... I don't even know if the ABS would react the same under this condition.Read more

Brand new engine blew up while driving. It had 2,000 miles on it. It has been replaced but am worried it will happen again

Numerous times (4-5) the truck has failed to accelerate from a rolling stop and/or a full stop. One time recently, I stopped and quickly tried to turn left onto another road. As I accelerated, the engine lagged and the truck felt as if it would stall. In all instances, the transmission seems as if it has not downshifted into 1st gear... and appears as if it is stuck in 3rd or 4th gear and the eng
... ine struggles to keep up. No warning lights or messages appeared in any of the instances. I am taking it to the dealer for them to look at.Read more

I purchased my vehicle 6 months ago. I had no prior issues outside of a rough drive or a very slight burning smell from time to time. 12/2025 I found out through my auto insurance that my vehicle had a active safety recall (25S76) so I scheduled with my local Ford to get the temp software PCM update done until the remedy becomes available. Immediately after the software update I started getting a
... lot of system error codes; keys not detected, airbag fault, Tailgate open (when it wasnt), auto hold system fault, auto start/stop system fault, etc.. During this time I had issues with my break system "softening" like the breaks wanted to go out OR the break peddle locking up on me and being unable to move/drive. Delays in acceleration or spurts of acceleration which was uncommanded. This happened in active school zones making it even more unsafe and dangerous to drive. I took it back to my nearest dealership, and they could not replicate the issues but kept my case open and said to inform them if things changed. Things gradually got worse. I have video recording of my car accelerating without my foot on the peddle and my breaking peddle softening to the point of not working properly as well as hardening and locking up. I have photos of the errors when I was able to safely due so. I have full documentation that is not listed here (due to the amount of words allowed). I took my vehicle back and has been with Frontier Ford in Anacortes WA for 5 days. I have contacted Ford as well. I am unable to get a rental due to both Ford and the dealership both telling me to go to each other for help. I have no update as my vehicle is still in testing. They were able to replicate some of the issues but have no update outside of that. I have no way to work or take my children back and forth to their classes. My Ford dealership said this software has caused similar issues with other vehicles but my issue was a more severe case. I am unsure on how to move forward with this.Read more
