I’m writing to report a driver’s-door lock malfunction on my 2022 Toyota Tundra and to request goodwill assistance (reimbursement or no-charge repair). VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 38,575 miles Concern: The driver’s door does not lock/unlock using the key fob or interior switch. Manual locking still works. Other doors operate normally. Safety/security impact: The vehicle cannot be reliably secur

Troubleshooting performed: Verified other doors work; checked fuses; inspected door-to-body wiring boot; issue appears isolated to the driver-side door lock actuator/latch. Requested resolution: Goodwill coverage for diagnosis and repair (or reimbursement if I proceed with repair now), including parts and labor for the driver-door lock actuator/latch assembly. I’ve been satisfied with the vehicle and would appreciate Toyota’s help resolving this known-type issue just beyond the 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty. Please open a case and advise next steps. I can provide service records, videos, and a dealer estimate upon request. Thank you for your assistance. Subject: Formal Complaint – 2020 Ford Explorer Transmission Failures and Unfair Coverage Practices Dear Ford Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding repeated transmission failures in my 2020 Ford Explorer. It is unreasonable for a I find it deeply concerning and unjust that Ford refuses to extend coverage to vehicles like mine that clearly suffer from the same manufacturing defects. It is unreasonable for a $45,000 vehicle, only a few years old, to require two complete transmission replacements. This is not an isolated case — thousands of 2020–2022 Ford Explorer owners have reported similar failures with the same transmission model, often shortly after warranty expiration. I am requesting that Ford review this case for goodwill repair coverage or reimbursement, and to consider expanding the recall parameters to include vehicles like mine that were evidently affected by the same defective components and production issues. I have purchased over $100,000 on Ford Cars, and have only purchased Fords. I am going to purchase a brand new car in 2 years, and it most likely will not be with Ford due to their shady recall practices, and lack of care for the quality of their product and customer service.Read more

The vehicle engine experienced a failure on the highway at very high speeds with no warnings leading up to this occurrence, same as many of the experiences of the customers with the 6.2L engines, which have been recalled for these defects. This should be covered by GM as it was a known issue and continues to be sold to unknowing customers. Furthermore, I am paying even more money to put another engine in this vehicle with the potential of having the same issues as the problem has not been corrected. This is deceptive and theft by GM in my opinion, and not safe to have engines failing in the highway with no warnings at all.Read more

On September 4th, 2025, my wife and I purchased a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series II bearing VIN number [XXX] being sold by Carvana. On September 23rd, 2025, the Jeep Wagoneer was delivered to our residence by Carvana. The Carvana employees unloaded the Jeep Wagoneer from their tow truck and then parked the Wagoneer in our driveway. After the Carvana employees departed with our Ford Explorer, my wife a
... nd I decided to take the Wagoneer for a drive. We loaded our three children into the vehicle and my wife drove, while I remained in the front passenger seat. We traveled approximately one block away from our residence when we came to a stop at a stop sign and the Wagoneer turned off its ignition on its own and put itself into park. We were on a slight incline and the vehicle began to roll backwards under no power, but due to the incline. To prevent this, my wife pressed the brake pedal and the vehicle ceased moving. The only way we were to get the ignition running again was to restart the vehicle by pressing the ignition push-button. The vehicle restarted and there were two error messages that appeared on the instrument cluster. The first message indicated that the start/stop system was unavailable. The second error message indicated that the hood was open. We left the stop sign, in an attempt to return to our residence, where the mechanical failure occurred and then came to a traffic signal that was red on U.S. Highway 11, in three lanes of traffic. We came to a stop and the same mechanical error occurred yet again with the Wagoneer turning itself off and shifting itself into park. My wife restarted the ignition and the same two error messages appeared on the instrument cluster. This time the “check engine” light came on. We also determine there to be heavy thumping in the brake pedal when pressing the brakes. During this first drive in the Wagoneer, my wife adjusted the rear-view mirror and the rear-view mirror fell right off the windshield. I was in t-boned on the passenger side of my vehicle. All side air bags went off but did not deflate. I had to crawl onto my floor to get out of the vehicle. Also when the emergency collision park kicked in it locked my doors so had I been unconscious I would have been locked in the car.

Our family has been on the middle of the highway when the Escape has just shut off. We here in Charleston, WV are not the only ones with this issue. We have contacted FORD multiple times on this. The engine failure about 6-7 years ago was the start. Coolant leaking into the cylinder, which is a service bulletin not a recall, prompted the engine to be extensively repaired or replace. Then after thi
... s nothing was ever the same. Todd Judy Ford which has been through a rebrand because of all the bad business here in Charleston WV has been since renamed to Downtown Ford, was made aware of every issue along the way. FORD stopped helping, dealership doesn't care. This was a major issue that caused our family's Ford Escape to just stop in the middle of driving in traffic. My wife could have been killed. The electrical and the engine in a severe issue on this year, make and model. Please do something. They have millions of issue with this specific engine and this model and will do nothing. While driving, the infotainment and central control display on our 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 repeatedly crash without warning. During these incidents, the navigation, HVAC controls, audio, CarPlay, vehicle warnings, and backup camera all become inoperable while the vehicle is in motion, including at highway speeds. Volkswagen has confirmed that this is a known, widespread software defect affecting mul

About 4 weeks a go i started hearing a whining noise from my Highlander. Thinking it was a belt we replaced. Whining continued to get worse only on acceleration. We are at 88,000 miles and it is now at Toyota getting a new transmission. Is there not something that can be done about this? I have read thousands of articles that show the UA 80E/F transmissions that are in the 2021-2022 models are jun
... k. Luckily we bought a Toyota VSA and it is covering it. What about after 100,000 miles. Whats to say after another 80,000 it won't go out again which will cost me the $10,000. When the dealers put new transmissions in these vehicles are they using the same parts for the UA 80 E/F or the upgrade parts that fixed the 2023? If we have a VSA it should extended a year past the 100,000 mile mark because of the issue or they should have to replace them completely to match the 2023 models.Read more

While driving at low speeds in downtown traffic with the automatic stop/start system active, I stopped at a red light. The system engaged and shut off the engine as expected. However, when I attempted to accelerate, the truck stalled. The gear shift unexpectedly moved from Drive to Park, and the parking brake activated. I applied the brake and restarted the engine, but had to manually disengage th
... e parking brake before continuing. At the next red light, the stop/start system again shut off the engine. Upon attempting to drive, the truck stalled a second time. I restarted the engine, but this time the auto stop alert and battery warning lights illuminated. The truck moved forward very slowly, appeared to struggle shifting into gear, and then suddenly lurched forward. I had to quickly apply the brakes to regain control. The vehicle is currently at the dealership undergoing inspection for a faulty tire pressure sensor and this auto stop system problem. This is the third time the truck has experienced the auto stop issue in the past two years. The problem has not been able to be replicated at the dealership and no repairs have been made.Read more
