The bolts holding the exhaust to the catalytic converter broke while I was driving my car. The car could have flipped, the exhaust could have busted through the vehicle, or I could have caused an accident and died. Check engine light with rough shifting and vehicle wouldn’t go in reverse. For safety reasons we had the vehicle towed to our local Chevy Dealership. Transmission needed a valve body rebuild. This is a known issue with this transmission but our VIN wasn’t under that recall.

Similar to the issues that were on the gas version of this engine and the recall associated with it. The engine seized on the expressway. When it was towed to the dealership, they said it was catastrophic engine failure. They found a lot metal shavings in the oil pan. They did not diagnose any further due to cost. At the time it happened, there were no warning lights or check engine lights on.

Parked vehicle fire that happened approximately 8-9 hours after parking it. Neighbors woke me up at 4:30am after hearing a loud boom. When i went outside the whole front end was engulfed in flames. My coolant control valve has failed, the dealership is saying the radiator is now leaking at a weld. They said this is a know issue, but are refusing to repair it. It is caused by the know failing ccv, causing the radiator to overheat.

I was driving south on interstate 15 freeway I was on the 3 lane in the middle of the road I was driving around 65-70 mph when my 1500 Silverado 2016 loose engine power and started to slow down I couldn’t get out fast enough and I almost got hit by three cars because I was driving so slow I pulled over emergency lines and the truck didn’t even start

"Shift to Park" alarm continues to appear when the car is in park. At times it does not clear for 10 minutes or so. On a couple of occasions I could not get it to go away for 30 minutes. This is an issue that drains the battery and have caused me to remain in the car to start and restart the vehicle until it is no longer present. Which damages the starter.

Unknown. The car seems to stall or slip when accelerating as is misfiring. It cuts off in the middle of the streets after coming out of auto stop mode. Pcv valve keeps popping up as issue. I had the pcv changed o2 sensors checked cleaned throttle body and air filter changed. The car still gives same problem and engine power reduction keeps popping on dashboard.

Coolant was found inside the Lithium-Ion battery module when the dealership opened it to repair a different issue. They condemned the battery on the spot. There was no damage to the battery module. All PMs were performed at Chevrolet dealerships throughout the life of the car. All recalls were fixed. Including the BECM replacement the car is known have problems with.
