Multiple times (Friday, March 27, Monday March 30, 2026) we have had the 2020 Equinox fail to accelerate at green lights. The gas pedal is pressed to the floor and car is VERY slow to accelerate. While driving in early morning while still dark outside, loud noise occurred with decreased acceleration on interstate. This placed my life and the lives of others at risk due to not being able to accelerate out of traffic coming behind me. On four occasions while operating the vehicle down the roadway the dash screen and infotainment / vehicle information displays all have went dark off and reset causing disruption to vital information. Cruise control stayed active. It is unknown if the advanced safety features failed during the reset.

17k miles, head a loud pop sound, engine light came and all the oil and coolant was on the ground, engine was smoking. Had the vehicle towed and was told by the service department the connecting Rod failed which caused the catastrophic engine failure. According to the service department and GM there is not Estimated time of arrival for an engine replacement and it’s already been a month.

My brakes stopped working while driving on highway I80 West. I had to have AAA tow my car to nearby shop. The mechanic said my vacuum pump needed to be replaced and he sees this happen often with Chevrolets.

truck shut off while driving in traffic managed to steer it off the road, towed to dealership with p0016 code as well as a bunch of others. known recall issue passed gm pico test a month earlier. now when I log in here to view recalls it says 0 recalls not repaired. Now truck has to get a new engine.
