On April 8, 2026, while riding on a busy 8 Lane (4 each direction) interstate during evening rush hour, I experienced immediate loss of propulsion when I attempted to engage the throttle. There was absolutely no power, just a grinding noise. I immediately put on my hazard lights and began working my way over toward the right berm. The exit was within a very short distance and I was able to exit th
... e interstate and pulled in to the first road I could. I had to put my Can Am Spyder in neutral so my husband could push me off to the side of the road to safety. There were no warnings or symptoms prior to my immediate loss of propulsion. I was placed in harm's way because most drivers were traveling in excess of the speed limit of 70 mph. I was in fear for my life as there were truck tractors and other vehicles within feet of the rear of my Can Am Spyder as I made my way to safety. The loss of proplusion was caused by the output shaft stripping the front sprocket. The sprocket was physically inspected by a dealership and BRP as well and replaced with another sprocket. I previously had a 2018 Can Am Spyder F3 and the sprocket was replaced 4 times due to the same issue, however my sprockets were always replaced before an epic fail as happened in this case. There was a recall and final fix with a stronger sprocket by BRP. I do not want anyone else to experience this safety issue.Read more

About 1 time in 5, after getting ready to ride the entire display will freeze up 30-60 seconds after beginning the trip. Most often this occurs if CarPlay is also enabled. When this happens, all functionality on the dashboard display is frozen. No speedometer, tachometer, gear indicator, CarPlay freezes, etc. Only fix is to pull over, stop the bike and wait for it to power down - then restart and
... hope it works the next time. I have had instances where it has failed 3 times in a row before finally working. Once it works for over 2 minutes I have not had it freeze up. The other option is to keep riding with a frozen display for about 5 minutes, then it crashes and reboots and sometimes fixes itself mid-ride. This is annoying and dangerous to lose all vehicle information like this. Have checked for firmware updates OTA and it says I'm up to date. I am not the only one this happens to, the Can-Am forums have other users with the same problem.Read more

I am writing to formally report and complain about a serious safety issue I am experiencing with my Honda Odyssey related to the Auto Idle Stop feature. While the vehicle is stopped and Auto Idle Stop is engaged, the engine unexpectedly shuts down and, in some cases, does not restart properly when I attempt to accelerate. This has occurred after normal driving and also immediately after refueling.
... When the issue happens, the vehicle loses power completely for several seconds, creating a dangerous situation—especially in traffic, at intersections, or while making turns. This issue is not only inconvenient but also a significant safety concern. A delayed or failed engine restart can easily lead to accidents, particularly when quick acceleration is required. I understand that Auto Idle Stop is designed to improve fuel efficiency, but it should never compromise vehicle safety or reliability. I am aware that other Honda Odyssey owners have reported similar problems, which suggests this may be a known or widespread issue. I would like Honda to: Acknowledge this problem as a potential safety defect Investigate whether this issue is related to the Auto Idle Stop system, fuel system, battery, starter, or engine control software Advise whether there is an official fix, software update, recall, or service bulletin addressing this issue Provide guidance on how Honda plans to resolve this problem permanently Please let me know the next steps to have my vehicle properly inspected and repaired. I expect Honda to take this matter seriously, as it directly affects driver and passenger safety. I look forward to your prompt responseRead more

In December 2024 we brought our 2017 Honda CRV for rattling and shaking when accelerating. In all cases below, the dashboard flashed engine warnings and fuel system warnings. The Honda Dealership mechanics shop replaced fuel injectors, spark plugs, and adjusted valves. Importantly, they also performed a full coolant service. Services totaled 2,952.92. In October 2025 we brought the 2017 Honda CR
... V to another Honda Dealership for the same issue. They performed a fuel system service and replaced the blower motor and, importantly, a coolant service. Services totaled 1,070.91. On November 7th the car completely failed and was towed to the first Honda Dealership who diagnosed a failed damaged head gasket. Repair will cost 6500.00 dollars. Upon research we have found that the 2017 Honda CRV Turbo has what appear to be a known problem with coolant leaking in the cylinders causing shaking and rattling when accelerating and leading to damage of the head gasket. My daughter's, the driver of the car, safety was at risk as the car could have failed at anytime between these repairs. Given Honda's knowledge of this problem I would have expected the two dealerships to have let us know this could be a problem. Given both dealership mechanic shops changed our coolant (these dealerships have joint records so they can see each other's work) and must know about the issue described, I would expect to be told and deal with the issue rather than wait for total failure at 153K miles, just 3K miles past the engine warranty.Read more

The affected part is the engine output shaft, which is part of the vehicle’s powertrain and propulsion system. BRP issued Recall 24V-728 for this defect, stating that the shaft can break and cause a sudden loss of propulsion, creating a safety hazard. I received the recall notice in April 2025 and have been unable to safely operate the vehicle since then. I contacted every authorized Can-Am dea
... ler within 150 miles, but all confirmed they could not perform the recall repair because replacement parts were unavailable. The first available dealer, Team Mancuso Powersports Southwest, accepted the vehicle on September 23, 2025, and has now had it for over three weeks with no estimated repair date. Several dealers have indicated that this is a nationwide parts shortage, suggesting the manufacturer has not supplied recall parts to service centers. BRP Customer Relations confirmed that parts are back ordered with no ETA and cited border and customs delays as the reason. As a result, my vehicle has been inoperable for over five months, and the defect remains unresolved. The manufacturer has not provided a repair, replacement, or refund as required under federal recall law (49 U.S.C. §30120). This delay affects my safety and that of other riders since the recall defect directly impacts vehicle propulsion. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate BRP’s handling of Recall 24V-728 and ensure the manufacturer provides a timely, lawful remedy to affected owners.Read more

On [XXX] at approximately [XXX] I was riding my 2024 Can-Am Spyder RT Limited on [XXX] . Upon approaching the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] I began to slow down as the light was changing to red. At this time, people in vehicles in the the left lane began beeping their horn and pointing at me and the motorcycle. As I looked down I saw flames shooting up my left ankle and leg and rising up und
... er the seat where the gas tank is located. I immediately pulled the motorcycle over to the shoulder of [XXX] and got off. A truck driver passing by gave me a fire extinguisher and I was able to put the fire out without any injuries. The fire went up under the seat and under the front cowling into the instrument panel. I had it towed to Maddie's Motor Sports on [XXX] in the Town of Spencerport, NY. They contacted Bombardier Recreational Products. Inc (BRP) who asked for photos from Maddie's as well as an accident/incident report to be completed by me. I did so and turned it in to Maddie's on August 5th. Shortly thereafter, the BRP representative - Bruno Bilodeau made a decision that it was an insurance issue and not a warranty issue despite the fact that he never physically inspected the motorcycle. This motorcycle had approximately 5100 miles on it at the time of the fire and was still under the manufacture's warranty (until July 2026). In addition I purchased multiple Extended Warranties to cover the motorcycle through the majority of the length of the loan. Calls and e-mails to BRP have gone unanswered. It is my position that BRP owes me a new motorcycle or they can fix mine. Mr. Bilodeau said the fire was caused by the filler cap not being secure and he could tell by a photo that was sent to him by Maddie's because he could see where fuel ran down the side of the gas tank. He's wrong - I made sure the cap was secure after fill up - it clicks when secure and I double check. System that malfunctioned was the braking system Safety was risked because vehicle doesn’t stop as it should at low speed below 30mph. Safety of occupants as well pedestrians and other motorists affected. Problem can be reproduced although dealer refused to confirm. I am in the process of getting it confirmed independently. Vehicle and components not inspected by manufacturer, police nor insur
... ance. Although I am in the process of putting an insurance claim in. The issue has been reported and confirmed by several other owners of same make and model and year. No prior warning of issue to it happening. The problem: At low speed below 30mph and braking simultaneously when going over rough ground (non slippery), potholes or in my accident going over a 6” drain to my garage, the ABS kicks in when it shouldn’t and the brake pedal vibrates and the vehicle lurches a bit. The result is that the braking distance increases significantly. I can reproduce the issue in particular roads areas. The accident I had involved when I was parking the car and the drain cover was dislodged at the entrance to the garage. I hit the brakes as usual but the brakes were ineffective and I ended up crashing into my refrigerator and freezer in the garage which took the full brunt of the impact and were damaged. I hardly had any brakes at all and the fridges took the full impact. Luckily it was at low speed. So only the front bumper got cracked and got damaged along with the fridges being fully crushed in. After the incident I was so shocked at what happened and couldn’t believe I lost the brakes so I found that several other owners of the same vehicle has had the same or even severe brake failures. I was able to replicate the problem fairly consistently in certain roads where it was slightly bumpy or rough. I didn’t want to try in my garage for obvious reasons. Furthermore the emergency brakes and collision warning did not activate either.Read more

Subject: Urgent Safety Complaint Dear GMC Customer Service, I hope this message nds you well. I am formally reporting a serious safety issue with my GMC vehicle. The car has experienced multiple dangerous incidents due to likely electrical or software faults, losing power suddenly on two occasions while driving. This is especially concerning given the low mileage of 20,000 km and that the vehicle
... is still under warranty. Vehicle Information: • Model: GMC Sierra SLE, 2024 • VIN: [XXX] • Current Mileage: 20,000 km Description of the Problem & History: 1. First Incident (At 3,000 km): o The vehicle completely shut down due to an electrical or system software issue while driving. o The vehicle was towed to the dealer and held for over two weeks for repairs. 2. Second Incident (Recently): o The vehicle again lost functionality; the gear was stuck in 1st gear, and I was unable to manually shift. o This occurred while driving, creating another unsafe situation. o The vehicle was again taken to the dealer for repair, and to date, I have not been informed of the root cause. Actions Taken: The vehicle was brought to Sarhan, UAE (Sharjah), Al Ghandi Auto after the rst incident. Despite inspections and repair attempts, the issue has recurred, indicating it was not resolved. And I am prepared to provide photographic or video evidence if necessary. Additional Context: • The vehicle is less than one year old and has been regularly serviced on time at authorized centers. The recurring issues strongly indicate an underlying reliability or manufacturing defect. Due to the severity and recurrence of these failures, I refuse any further repair attempts. I formally request either a full refund or a replacement vehicle, as this is unacceptable for a new car. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint promptly and advise on the next steps for a swift resolution. I started noticing a glare on my 2011 Toyota Camry on the inside on the dashboard. It appeared shiny and I figured I accidentally cleaned it with the wrong product. It started at the closet point of the windshield so I didn’t worry about it. Today (6/4/25) I went to clean it again and noticed the whole dashboard was extremely sticky and NOTHING would clean it off. Paper towels and microfiber tow
... els stuck to it. I noticed the dash was coming apart when I tried to clean it. I called Toyota customer service and they informed me they sent a letter in 2018 about the class action lawsuit and that they were replacing the dashboard. I do not remember ever getting this letter. They woman tried to ask someone higher up about trying to help me since the cut off date was 2021. They said there was nothing they could do due to it not being done in 2021. This is a safety issue due to the glare when driving. I believe this needs to be a recall and that customers should be able to have Toyota fix it. It’s continue to melt and it’s going to end up ruining the whole car. Please take cere of this, please check it as a recall. I would assume this would mess with the airbags as well. I cannot afford to have the whole dashboard replaced, when it should be a recall due to Toyota being at fault. It’s their responsibility to test these things and they failed big time with this. A dashboard should not melt.Read more

When entering a left hand turn at moderate speed, the vehicle will go into a lurching, bucking, hesitation period, usually when under slight or moderate acceleration. Hard to descri

I first noticed this barely a month after I took possession of the machine and thought it might be a normal handling trait. As I became more acquainted with the various user’s groups, I find it was not normal and a much more serious problem that apparently hasn’t been successfully addressed by the manufacturer over the years it has been reported. Unlike some of the others who have reported similar occurrences, my vehicle has not displayed any error codes on the display screen, nor has it gone into a limp mode. Dear Sirs: Two months ago I went to the local Jeep Dealer (Taraborelli, in Bariloche, Argentina) asking for 4 incomplete recalls. Two were completed but, in particular the number 57, the local dealer informed me that they asked MOPAR for spare parts (CDBOH113 -680050499AA- and CBTTP578AA and CBTTP57LAA) without any response from MOPAR. To my surprise the recalls appear now as "completed"! The dea
... ler received my complaint and asked me to report the problem. They are waiting for the spare parts to complete recall repairing. What I'm expected to do about this problem?. Original recals were N11, N23, P57 and P73, those related with software were resolved but for P57 they required spare parts to MOPAR it is very important affecting the driving. I do appreciate your response asap. Vehicle sitting in driveway. Fuel injector leakage and resultant engine control unit detecting fuel set off spark which resulted in explosion under hood. Completely destroyed engine intake manifold (over 100 pieces found), and requires all (6) new fuel injectors. Due to core return value, I will NOT be keeping injectors, but they have been inspected by certified mechanic where repairs are bei
... ng done. Safety/risk is obvious- fire danger, explosion danger, etc. Vehicle was towed to German Motors, Lakewood CO. for repair. No warning indicators, no lights. Mechanics did inform me that this issue has been seen on other vehicles. Network of MB mechanics have been aware. MB USA is also aware of fuel injector leakage issues, and have issued a Safety & Emissions Recall Campaign (# 2022030003, dated 8/22/2022) for this model year and vehicle model type (GLE). MB USA however asserts that my specific VIN is not included in recall- but offers no reason. Currently, due to MB inability to provide replacement parts (engine intake manifold unavailable until Sept. 2025!), vehicle is still in repair facility. Invoices and write up will be available after repairs completed (using reclaimed intake manifold along with new injectors).Read more

There is a loud knocking or banging sound when making sharp turns. Particularly a turn of 90 degrees or sharper. It sounds almost like something under the car coming from the wheels area. It goes away as you release the steering and straighten back out. But it is loud enough that I am thinking of going back to the dealership to get it checked out.

The auto-stop feature on my 2019 Acura RDX has resulted in my car abruptly shutting down twice now -- today it happened when I slowed to a stop at an intersection. Basically, rather than just shutting the engine off while idling, it shuts of the electrical (dashboard and infotainment -- all systems) and engine and then immediately restarts with the car in Park. There was no warning sound or light
... prior to the car turning off and restarting. Obviously, it is very dangerous for a car to turn off unexpectedly, and I'm thankful that I was braking to a stop at a red light and had time for the engine to turn back on, and to put car back in Drive.Read more

The component that failed is the fuel tank system. While driving, the fuel tank expanded, causing significant damage to the rear section of the vehicle. This issue resulted in the rear seat rising up, and the bottom rear seat cushion detaching from its securing clamps. The check engine light came on, and gas started leaking from the fuel cap. The fuel tank has moved upward by about 3 to 5 inches,
... no longer resting on the factory fuel tank straps. The sheet metal underneath the rear seat was crumpled, and the fuel pump access cover bent. The vehicle is currently at College Park Hyundai and is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of my children were significantly compromised. The loud popping noise startled us, and the fact that the rear seat lifted and detached posed a serious risk to the passengers in the back seat. Additionally, the gas leak created a fire and explosion hazard, putting all occupants of the vehicle and other drivers on the road at serious risk. This incident potentially violates the Fuel System Integrity (49 CFR 571.301) regulation, which ensures that a vehicle's fuel system is designed to prevent leaks and fire hazards. Moreover, the unexpected movement and detachment of the rear seat could be a breach of Occupant Protection (49 CFR 571.207 and 571.208), which govern the safety of seating systems and occupant crash protection. The issue has been confirmed by the service center at College Park Hyundai, where the vehicle is currently being inspected and evaluated. The vehicle is being inspected by the manufacturer’s authorized service center at College Park Hyundai. It has not yet been inspected by police or insurance representatives at this time. The check engine light came on immediately after the loud popping noise and the detachment of the rear seat cushion. Additionally, the gas gauge suddenly dropped to empty after the incident, even though the tank was not empty prior to the malfunction.Read more

Vehicle repeatedly goes in to limp mode for VSS faults related to steering codes. Dealers are unable to repair and report that many other of the same model have the same problem. Many other owners in the online community report the same issue with no fix in sight. The vehicle is essentially unusable and the manufacturer does not appear to have any intent to remedy the situation.

When changing the sparkplugs, sparkplug #2 broke off in the engine and needed to have the heads replaced. This was 100,00 mile and the warranty had just ran out so we had to pay over $4,000 out of pocket to the local dealership for this repair.. This is a known issue with Ford but they will not issue a recall. There was no warning lights or sounds that this was an issue.
