During the time we have owned this car, it exhibits random and sudden deceleration events when operating AutoPilot (adaptive cruise control) on highways and freeways. My 2023 Ford Bronco has these "Advanced" wipers that automatically stop wiping when they think the windshield is dry or think the wiper motor may be damaged. When driving in heavy rain and you put the wipers on High (or even Low), they automatically switch to Intermittent after about 1 minute. They actually stop wiping at a high speed and pause between wipes for several seconds. In order to keep t

This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see though the windshield during heavy rain. I have spoken to many Bronco owners and seen thread on online message boards that everyone has the same issue. After reading the Manual it appears this is a "feature" of the new Ford Bronco. This is a major safety issue and Ford should be required to fix the wiper motor on these vehicles. The issue happens on all of the model years - 2021 - 2023.Read more

The following is an account of what happened when the SUV's brakes failed, which caused serious damage to the 2022 Hyundai Tucson (the "SUV") and also damaged two other vehicles. On February 15 in the afternoon, The SUV was traveling approximately 20-30 mph and was rolling up to a red light. There were about 6 car lengths between the SUV and the next vehicle as driver started pressing the brakes.
... Driver noticed the SUV wasn't slowing down so Driver started pumping the brakes and still nothing. Driver even looked down to make sure he/she was pressing the right pedal and he/she was. The SUV was getting closer and closer to the vehicle in front. Driver kept trying the brakes, pumping, flooring, everything. The SUV would not slow or stop. Driver tried to avoid the car ahead and did all driver could think of to slow and not hit the car ahead but the SUV would not slow down. The collision warning came on as the SUV struck the right of car in front of it. The emergency braking did not come on. Further, the SUV still did not stop until the tire hit the concrete barrier in the road. The airbag did not deploy. In total three vehicles were damaged as the SUV hit one which pushed it into another at the light. Hyundai corporate consumer assistance was contacted and a case opened. The case manager did the initial reach out after the complaint but has failed to return any phone messages or emails about the case for close to a month. They were told where the vehicle was and consent signed so they could inspect and it remains available for them to do so. The dealership was contacted but the person spoken to said its a corporate issue. The SUV is at a body shop and will be sent to Hyundai for mechanical issues and we are hoping they will look at least then for cause. There were no issues before the accident. No previous brake issue. The SUV is badly damaged. It is available to inspect upon request. The accident could have caused driver or others serious harm.Read more

On Sunday, February 26, 2023, as I was en route to my home in Liberty Hill, Texas, I heard a noise from what seemed to be under the hood. The noise sounded somewhat like a card in bike spokes. I had a friend take me to the nearest garage/
... mechanic on Monday to make an appointment. I took my car to Cross Tech Automotive at 8 am on February 28. The 5 miles to Cross Tech was the only time I drove the car after the initial noise on Sunday 2/26/2023. The technician remarked that it was crazy that no warning lights were on, given the noise made by my car. After the car was examined, I was told that my car had no oil in it. I had routine oil changes done throughout the time I owned the car since late 2015. In fact, I’d asked the mechanics to do an oil change while the car was in their facility. There were never any oil on my driveway to alert me to a problem. There had been no sign of any problem until the noise I heard 2 days prior. And never a warning light of any kind. I was given an estimate of $12,000.00 to replace the motor, including labor. Because it didn’t make sense to spend $12,000 on a vehicle that was likely worth $15,000 prior to this problem, it was necessary to buy a different car. After doing an internet search, I discovered that excess oil consumption appears to be a problem with 2016 Hyundai Tucsons, among other Hyundais and Kias. I was never made aware of any issues by Hyundai Motor Company. The technician who diagnosed the problem wrote a brief description of what he found. I can provide this description. The invoice was for the diagnosis not repairs of any kind.Read more
