STATEMENT OF FACTS 1.I am the registered owner of a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (VIN: [XXX]), purchased for approximately $75,000 USD, inclusive of all taxes and registration, in cash. 2.I have been driving different cars for over 25 years and have owned multiple vehicles. This Jeep Wrangler is the most expensive vehicle I have ever owned, and the only one to cause severe safety issues for me and m

It started with a emergency brake light coming on, shortly (2 miles) later it started misfiring on cylinder #1 after replacing coil pack plug wire and plug. It then started smoking bad out of the exhaust. I knew GM was having recalls on the 6.2 engines so I hauled it to the dealer. They told me it was a bad engine and since it had aprox.62,000 miles on it and no recall it wasn't covered. Since t
... hen the dealer called the factory service rep. and he agreed to replace the engine at a 50% reduction in the price, but had no idea when they could get me a replacement engine. After a few days of research on my part I called the dealer again to get a price on how much it was going to cost me? The owner of the dealership ask me to give him a few more days to ask the rep. if he would agree to 100%. My problem now is I don't have it to drive, I can't sell it. and no idea how long it will be before it can be repaired. Plus I am still making payments on it. It is available for inspection at the dealer. If I had of continued to drive, it could have locked up causing a catastrophic accident. In my research it looks like these problems started in 2019 not late 2020 when mine was built. NC has lemon law complaints going back to 2019 that have been paid out. I currently own a #1 2007 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2 with aprox.389,000 miles and only replaced the transmission recently. #2 A 2008 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2 with 279,052 miles, new transmission. #3 A 2011 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2 with 234,361 miles and #4 a 2017 Cadillac Escalade 6.2 with aprox. 102,000 miles. All of these are working and driving on a daily bases. I have a lot of faith in these 6.2 engines until now, I will no longer be buying any more of these engines even though 1 out of 5 aint bad. They moved our “easy pass” transponder and said it may have caused the mishap. I don’t think so as it was not within the “eyesight “ of the forward looking camera.Read more

I own a 2018 Honda Civic that is subject to an open fuel pump recall. My vehicle suddenly became completely inoperable. This failure happened without any prior warning. I contacted Nalley Honda in Union City, GA, and they confirmed tha

However, they refused to provide towing for the vehicle and told me the earliest appointment available would be over a week out, despite the vehicle being undrivable due to this known safety defect. This situation puts my safety and my family’s safety at risk, as I am now stranded without reliable transportation because of a manufacturer defect. The problem has been acknowledged by the dealership but has not been resolved because of their refusal to assist with towing or provide a timely repair. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to the failure—this happened suddenly. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this issue further, as it presents a serious safety concern. I also want to report that Honda has not provided towing assistance or a loaner vehicle while the safety recall repair is pending, which leaves me without any transportation.Read more

Part 68324912AC Latch Release Cable failed on both middle seats within one week of one another and approximately three weeks after the manufacturers warranty expired on the vehicle. The result is that both seat backs do not latch into place vertically and the entire seat freely slides forward and backward, slamming backward on acceleration and forward on braking. We have read on Internet forums th
... at this is a very common problem. The left side seat failed while my daughter was riding in it and the seat back released. If this had happened during a collision, it could’ve been catastrophic. Upon stopping the vehicle and exiting, we found that it slid freely forward and back as well. The other side failed while the vehicle is parked, and we released the seat back lever. The seats are unusable as a result. If the failure had happened while driving or impact, it could have been devastating as the seat would have slid independent of the seatbelt and the back slammed forward driving the passenger’s head into the back of the front seat. A Chrysler dealer diagnosed the problem charging us $250 for the diagnostic fee and quoted another $750 for the repair. Parts cost about $30 each. 1. This vehicle was recalled for a software update due to the rear camera failing to operate at times. The software was updated by the dealer. However, this did not completely fix the problem. While the camera fails less frequently, it still does not energize at times. I took the vehicle back to the dealer. I was then informed that there is water intrusion into the rear lift gate, which causes the
... electrical to short out. I was told that I would have to replace the wiring harness which energizes the camera as well as the rear vehicle lights. I have not noticed any problem with the lighting as of yet. However, I have been told that this is a problem with the Pacifica in general, as well as the Durango. I was told that replacing the harness would not guarantee that the problem would be solved as there would still be water intrusion, which could cause the problem again, even with replacing the harness. This is obviously a safety issue, as the camera fails to operate at times, and there is a potential of losing lighting on the back of the vehicle. This is also a known defect by Chrysler. 2. When using the Adaptive Cruise Control on streets and highways with multiple lanes traveling the same direction, the vehicle will brake suddenly and hard when the vehicle in front of me changes lanes. This occurs after the vehicle in front of me has completely changed lanes and is not impeding my forward progress whatsoever. My vehicle speeds up to the set speed and then violently brakes as if it is about to crash into the vehicle ahead of me, even thought the lane is completely clear. The vehicle has been inspected for this scenario. I was told that it didn't perform as described above when the technician drove it. This is a safety issue as the vehicle suddenly and violently brakes at highway speeds, with traffic behind me.Read more

While driving southbound on I-5 from San Francisco to Anaheim, the vehicle began making rattling and squeaking noises from the engine compartment. Within minutes, multiple warning systems activated, including alerts for power steering, brake system, ABS, and other critical components. The vehicle quickly lost power and could no longer shift gears. We were forced to exit the highway near Kettleman
... City, but the engine completely shut off as we were exiting. Brake pressure was lost, and the vehicle could not be stopped using the primary braking system. We had to use the emergency brake to avoid a collision. The vehicle was towed by roadside assistance to a dealership for inspection. The dealer confirmed that the engine had spun a connecting rod bearing in cylinders #3 and #4, which caused piston damage and full engine seizure. The service department acknowledged this failure matched a known recall (Recall No. 23V-751), but stated the vehicle was not eligible for repair due to its VIN not being listed. Despite this, the failure is identical in cause and outcome to those covered by the recall and poses the same safety risks.Read more

Vehicle: 2021 Ford Bronco VIN: [XXX] Mileage: Approximately 88,000 miles Complaint: I am reporting major safety and drivability concerns with my 2021 Ford Bronco, which is currently undrivable and in the shop at Ron DuPrat Ford in Dixon, California. Despite experiencing issues nearly identical to those covered under existing recalls, my vehicle’s VIN is not currently included. While driving
... on the freeway, the vehicle suddenly malfunctioned. Without warning, it dropped into first gear at high speed, causing a rapid and unexpected deceleration. This could have easily resulted in a serious accident or even death — not only for my family but for others on the road. This is a major safety issue. After pulling off the road, the vehicle would no longer go into reverse and became completely undrivable. I also received multiple dashboard alerts, including: “An electrical fault has occurred with the transmission fluid pressure sensor circuit and its associated wiring.” “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power” “A Powertrain or All Wheel Drive (AWD)/Four Wheel Drive (4WD) fault has been detected.” This is our main family vehicle, used daily for commuting and travel. I am still making payments on it, and the fact that it has become unsafe and unusable at this mileage is unacceptable. If this vehicle was not built for long-term use or daily driving, that should be clearly stated not discovered through dangerous failures like this. I no longer feel safe transporting my children in this car. I strongly urge the NHTSA to investigate whether the current recall coverage should be expanded to include additional VINs like mine. Hi, this vehicle is owned by Surreal Development LLC. A company whom reverse engineers vehicle. GM has an issue in their Cadillac Lyriq's which causes a complete failure of the vehicle's communication systems without warning while driving. This issue appears to affect all Global B vehicles but it is most severe in vehicles with one pedal driving (Sierra EV, Lyriq, Blazer EV, Optiq, Silverado EV,
... Equinox EV, etc...) The error is likely within the vehicle's Serial Data Gateway Control Module but it is unclear. The vehicle recovers from the communication quickly (within seconds) but it causes long term adverse affects for that driving period. 1. The vehicle will light up with warnings (Service Traction Control, disengage super cruise, disengage ACC, etc...) 2. The driver's pedal will go into safety mode. 3. A "Service High Voltage" system warning may or may not appear. The safety concern is mostly in #2. When this happens it is very jarring to the driver as it drastically changes how the vehicle responds. While the vehicle may state one pedal driving is disabled many times it still indicates it is on within the controls (likely due to an error in the compounded communication fault). This can lead to the driver rear ending the vehicle in front of them or rolling over. The fault does not correct itself until the vehicle resets (powers off/on). The issue is common and affects many owners of the Cadillac Lyriq. The only diagnostic data we see are communication faults across many modules.Read more

This is related to safety recall 25V-280. My backup camera is still producing the “Camera temporarily unavailable” message with the latest software update 3.6.4. installed. Matter of fact it seems it has gotten worse since 3.6.4. to the point where it is reproduceable after each deep sleep. My vehicle is a 2022 Polestar 2 LRDM with no packages. The scenario that triggers the issue is: Car park

The backup camera first flickers a few times then usually shows “Camera temporarily unavailable” message. I have started to capture this with my cell phone so I have evidence. It appears 3.6.4. is NOT a fix for the backup camera issues that triggered the recall 25V-280. I am not an expert but believe only a hardware upgrade with improved processing capabilities will fix this issue as all software fix attempts failed so far.Read more

Been dealing with fogged up headlights from the time I bought my 2022 Genesis gv70 new. I've had at least 4 headlights replaced including recently, June 2025. In December of 2024 the engine started not being able to reach full power. This would happen intermittently and there would be a check engine light that would come on when this was happening. In January of 2025 I had the code pulled up by a mechanic at a local shop and this mechanic actually spoke to the service manager of the GMC dealership who said it was covered under the 100,000 mile power tr
... ain warranty. I took it to the dealership who then told me the diesel mechanic was backed up and I would have to schedule repair for February. I had also received a recall notice in the mail for another issue so asked about taking of both things at the same time. I made the appointment for mid-February so had to deal with reduced engine power for several weeks. The dealership had my truck for several days and a recall was fixed and I thought the reason for the reduced engine power had been fixed also. I had received a phone call from the service representative about an issue that would cost over $1200 that I declined. I did not realize that this was actually for the main issue. I was still thinking the reduced engine power was under warranty. I got my truck back but then the next day the check engine light came on again and the engine power was reduced again. I immediately called the service representative who then told me only the recall had been fixed and that the reason for the reduced engine power was not fixed because I had declined the service. I was totally confused and didn’t understand what happened. This is when I was told that the reason for the reduced engine power was due to a coolant control valve, which was not under the powertrain warranty. I pushed the issue and wanted answers as to why the service manager himself told the mechanic that it was under warranty and was told that the service manager is not a technician and they rely on what the technician says is the problem. And this problem was not covered. I finally gave in and got it fixed and paid $1788.Read more

I received the vehicle recall from GMC and contacted my dealership to inform them I was having a lagging issue with power in my truck. I inquired if I can bring the truck in to have it looked at under the recall, but was informed that no remedy was provided, and I also have to wait until my VIN# came up for inspection which no date or time frame was available. The next question I ask was can I g

Pulling my camper with my 2019 Ford F250. As we began to go down a hill I tapped the brakes to just slow down. I was driving around 55 mph. After I tapped the brakes the front end began to shake. I guess this is known as the Death Wobble. It was extremely scary. Never have had anything like this before. If Ford knows about this why have they not done anything? Thanks

Mechanic states that driver buckle is causing error message concerning air bag deployment on driver side, says belt buckle should be replaced so connectivity will be re-established, to enable air bag deployment. I would think this would be a safety recall, if this is the case.

The engine cooling system and engine block failed due to coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders. This issue has been diagnosed by an independent mechanic and is available for inspection upon request. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by an independent service center, which diagnosed coolant intrusion into the engine block, a known issue on this engine. The shop recommended full engine rep
... lacement and stated this is a common failure in this vehicle. Not yet by the manufacturer, police, or insurance. The issue has only been inspected by a certified independent mechanic. Yes, a check engine light appeared along with a coolant temperature warning message. The vehicle also began to idle roughly, produce heavy exhaust, and consume coolant. These symptoms began appearing shortly before diagnosis in June 2025. I own a 2018 Ford Fusion with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle recently began experiencing coolant loss, heavy exhaust, and check engine alerts. A certified mechanic confirmed that coolant has intruded into the engine block, causing internal misfires and risk of major engine failure. I was told this is a common and well-documented issue with this engine design, yet there has been no official recall from Ford despite similar problems affecting other models (referenced in Ford TSB 19-2208). The mechanic has recommended a full engine replacement with an estimated cost of $13,000. This is a serious safety concern, as the engine can overheat, stall, or seize while driving.Read more

The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Cape Girardeau Honda (385 Siemers Dr, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701); who confirmed the first dealer’s diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired because a replacement transmission was difficult to find. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 98,982.Read more
