I had Baker Cadillac Dealership to perform the toe-link recall as well as a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection on May 28, 2025. This is for a 2012 Cadillac SRX-3.6 Luxury Collection [VIN: [XXX]] that I was going to purchase for my [XXX] daughter pending the inspection results. Because Cadillac technicians performed the inspection and nothing major was flagged, I purchased the car for my daughter. Th
... at evening, I was driving the car to fill up with gas, and the brakes completely cut out! I talked to a friend who knows more about cars than I do, told me the brakes cutting out was likely a result of the recall repair needing to reset to the proper values. I didn't think too much of it after that until 5 days ago when I was on [XXX] driving at 70 mph, the brakes completely cut out again. The road was wet and they cut out as I was exiting off an interstate overpass onto a ramp which circles back toward the direction I was coming from that ultimately feeds onto the road underneath the exit. I fishtailed side to side the entire length of that ramp that has no barriers at a lethal speed which could’ve killed me! If my daughter would've been driving, the outcome would’ve likely been fatal! I contacted the dealership who performed the recall installation and the Multi Point Inspection and told them everything that happened. I wanted answers as to why this wasn't caught during inspection, what exactly caused that to happen twice in less than 10 days, and what needs to be fixed to prevent this from ever happening again. I paid Firestone to perform a comprehensive test on ABS and they could not replicate the issue, so they couldn't do anything to fix it as everything appeared to be fine. No system lights came on or anything. I have since learned that this is far from an isolated issue; in fact, this is quite a scary pattern with the 2012 SRX 3.6. Noticed difficulty starting the vehicle and smoke coming out of the exhaust and the check engine light came on with code PO302. Found this was associated with coolant leaking into the engine which caused the coolant level to decrease and had to add coolant to prevent the car from over heating. These leaking fluids could have leaked onto exhaust parts causing the smoke and possibly could have start
... ed a fire in the vehicle. I took the vehicle to Rodeo Ford in Goodyear Az. and they confirmed the code displayed and smoke coming from the exhaust and had to add more coolant right away. They confirmed coolant was leaking into the engine and checked for the recall and said my vehicle was not listed as part of the recall even though other 2017 Ford Fusions were part of the recall. They replaced the engine costing me $10,039.35 and said that the vehicle may be added later to the recall NHTSA Recall ID 17V209Read more

Dear NHTSA, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a 2019 Buick Regal, which I purchased as a used vehicle in 2023 with approximately 19,000 miles. Since owning the car, I have added only 14,000 miles, yet I have experienced multiple significant and ongoing issues that raise serious concerns about the safety, reliability, and warranty service associated with this vehicle. Vehicle Problems:
... Suspension Issues: Shortly after purchase, the car has had persistent suspension problems, which negatively affect stability and ride quality. The dealership has replaced multiple suspension components, but the issue continues and remains unresolved. General Motors (GM) initially agreed to cover these repairs even if my warranty expired and also stated I would qualify for a vehicle buyback. They have now backtracked and are refusing to honor that commitment, despite the ongoing unresolved safety issue Electrical and Transmission Malfunctions: I have reported intermittent electrical and transmission issues to the dealer. These include erratic shifting, hesitation, and occasional system malfunctions. Each time, I have been told they cannot replicate the problems, so no repairs have been made. These issues are intermittent, but they occur while driving and are potentially dangerous. Delays in Repairs and Warranty Coverage: The dealership delayed parts ordering and repairs for my suspension concerns until after my warranty expired. This delay appears to have been intentional, potentially to avoid honoring warranty coverage. Refusal to Service Due to Location (Puerto Rico): I live in Puerto Rico, and both GM and the dealership have stated that they are limited in what they can do for me because of my location. For example, I was told they cannot order a replacement windshield to Puerto Rico, and that what they can do based on a buyback or warranty coverage is limited. I have been patient and waited for the dealership and GM to make things right for 2 years.Read more

The front windshield began leaking into the cabin interior. A windshield replacement has been performed. I paid for the replacement in full. Receipts provided to Land Rover. Safety concerns existed due to the fogging of the windshield interior and

The windshield replacement was performed by an authorized Land Rover vendor which provided a statement of cause of failure being contaminated glass and primer failure. The cause / nature of the failure is the same as many other vehicles of the same make , mode and year. Also a Class action lawsuit exists for the same problem. The windshield leak presented the symptoms of water intrusion to the interior, resulting in a fogging of the windshield and restricted frontal visibility. Upon contacting the local Land Rover dealer for a resolution to the safety problem, they denied providing help due to the VIN number being out of the posted range and suggested that I contact my insurance company. I felt compelled for safety reasons to seek replacement of the leaking windshield as soon as possible.Read more

The 4WD light came in November 2024. When taken to the dealer I was told it was probably the power transfer unit as they have been replacing a lot of them. And upon inspection it was the PTU. This problem was verified as being common and a recall issued shortly after my vehicle got a new PTU. My VIN is not under the recall and I am being told there is nothing they can do. I don’t think it’s a
... coincidence that my vehicle has the same defect the others have and I think they need to look broader at the vehicles included in the recall. In May 2025 (just 6 months later), the rear differential went out with no warning or lights at all. There was a noise and by the time we got it to repair shop they said they don’t know how we even got it there as the rear differential exploded. This could have been a very dangerous situation. The rear differential goes hand in hand with the power transfer unit so it is very probable this happened due to the faulty PTU. After batteries were changed, issues with the power windows began immediately. Windows would not going/up or down all the way and were sticking. Soon after they stopped working all together. Auto locks wouldn’t work & the gas tank latch had to manually open to fill the gas tank. Finally took the car in for diagnosis. Said the motor in the door was broken & needed to be replaced. We were not convinced that this was the real issue b/c the problem began immediately after the fob battery issue. Instead of new parts, the dealer glued pieces together & gave us a discounted price. The first time it was in the shop was October and the second was February approx. I reached out to the dealership when I became aware of the recall and said I wanted to be released from the lease and they stated they would look into a buy back and when the legal team contacted me the letter that was sent on May 4th stated that there was not enough repairs attempted on the vehicle to qualify. Dear NHTSA Safety Team, I am writing to file an urgent safety complaint regarding my 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, which experienced a catastrophic failure of the rear braking system while I was riding on a public road. On [insert date], while traveling at approximately 50 mph, I heard a loud metallic noise from the rear of the motorcycle. Shortly after, I attempted to slow down using the
... rear brake to enter my driveway, but the brake pedal went fully down with no braking response whatsoever. Upon inspection, I discovered that one of the brake pad pins was loose and one of the rear brake pads had completely fallen off, disabling the rear brake. Had I needed to stop suddenly or avoid a collision, this defect could have caused a serious accident or fatal injuries. The motorcycle is under warranty, has not been modified, and is maintained properly. I have contacted the dealer, but given the nature of this failure, I believe this may be indicative of a manufacturing or assembly defect affecting other units as well. I am attaching photographic evidence of the defect and would appreciate it if your office could review this case and advise whether further investigation is warranted. Please let me know if you need additional documentation or if I can assist further in the process. Thank you for your time and for prioritizing vehicle safety.Read more

While driving normally at around 30mph and without warning, the vehicle displayed multiple warning messages related to the HV Battery and lost all motive power in the middle of the road with insufficient time to pull over, creating a safety hazard. Upon inspection by a mechanic independent of Tesla, the HV Battery was found to have multiple voltage sense leads disconnected from the flexible PCB p
... ads that lead to the BMB for each module. One of the 96 bricks had all four sense leads disconnected, resulting in the loss of motive power due to the inability for the BMS to accurately measure the voltage of that brick. In fact, the vehicle displayed module over voltage and under voltage alerts due to this open/high resistance sense harness connection. Out of all 96 bricks, 13 bricks had at least one loose sense lead, and one brick (besides the affected brick) had 3 out of 4 sense leads loose/disconnected from the PCB pad. Any loose leads were only at the PCB pad end, not at the current collector end. These sense leads are ultrasonically welded through the same attachment process as the cells, but the connections to the flex PCB pad are clearly not as robust as the other connections or are exposed to higher vibration over time due to relative motion of the flex. The flex PCB design was introduced in 2015, just before the Gen 2 HV Battery, and in production until the 2021 refresh. The HV Battery did not ever have any visible liquid ingress or physical damage. It is my understanding through various forums such as Tesla Motors Club that this is an increasingly common issue, and that Tesla is experiencing a high rate of this open voltage sense harness issue at their service centers for vehicles that have not been in any prior accidents or incidents (forums generally only have salvage vehicles that are out of warranty). Errors typically are: BMS_f107_SW_Cell_Voltage_Sensor BMS_f177_OpenVshDetected BMS_w129_SW_BMB_VSH_Connector Or their variants (a129, w177, etc.)Read more

I bought my 2022 Ram 2500 brand new as a factory order. It is currently in the shop at Ron Lewis Ram in Cranberry Twp, PA to get a rear window water leak diagnosed. The dealer has told me that the rear windows frame is cracked in multiple places and wont be covered by my 8 year/125,000 mile max care warranty. I told them that it should be covered since its apparently a factory defect that caused t
... he issue. They informed me that since I am at 55,000 miles, Ram wont pay to repair the issue, that I had until 36,000 miles to have this issue and have it repaired. Through the power of Google search, I was able to find that countless Ram 1500 trucks have had this identical issue and a TSB exists for it. The TSB for the Ram 1500 (23-098-23 Rev A) states that it was caused by a manufacturing issue, that the repairs will be made, and that Ram will cover the repair until the truck hits 8 years/ 150,000 miles. I cannot find a TSB for the 2500 trucks that have the identical issue and I can't believe for a second that I have the only 2500 Ram on the road with this issue, especially after seeing the identical problem with the Ram 1500 and even the Jeep Gladiator, all from the same manufacturer of Stellantis- who owns both Ram and Jeep. The dealer says that I will have to pay a couple of thousand dollars out of pocket to have these repairs made on my own.Read more

First time I had problems with my 2021 Terrain I took it to victory GMC on 9/20/24. At the it had 45,000 miles. Every time I would drive and accelerate it would shake extremely bad in the floorboard. There was also transmission fluid leaking. I picked the car up on 9/27/2024 and was advised that both front axles were replaced, which corrected the shaking and the driver side axle seal was replaced,
... which was where the leak was coming from. this was covered under warranty but at 45,000 miles I should not have been already having axle problems or any type of leak. I dropped my car off again on May 5, 2025. When I called them the day I made the appointment I let them know I had a service transmission message show up and then go away, I told them it’s taking longer to kick into gear when I’m on the highway, I told them it revs up past 4 1/2 RPMS at times when it had not previously done this and it just sounded like the engine is working harder. I also told them I had a check engine line come on and go off and it was code P2271 which was an oxygen sensor code. I also told them when I had the oil changed. They told me there was a slight oil cooler leak starting. All this was supposedly addressed when I dropped it off to be serviced on 5/5/25. I was called on five 625 to pick up my vehicle notifying me that they found no issues. They were unable to verify concern concerning my check engine light. They said there was no oil cooler leaking, it was just slightly seeping, so not considered a leak. And they said no transmission concern operated as designed. Fast forward to May 9, 2025… I got in my car in the morning and once again the check engine light was on. I drove it straight to GMC and had them put the reader on it. The oxygen sensor code came on. The same code I told them about on the 5th that they said was fine on the 6th. I made an appointment once again to get this check engine light looked at although the check engine light is not on at the moment again.Read more

The contact owns a 2018 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the check engine warning light was flashing. Additionally, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from underneath the hood, and the hood was shaking. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The vehicle was towed to Village Auto, where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine had failed and needed to be
... replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Village Auto contacted an unknown dealer. The contact later became aware of NHTSA Action Number: PE25001 (Engine, Engine and Engine Cooling), which the contact related to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the repair could not be covered because the VIN was not included in a recall and due to the mileage on the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.Read more

As I was driving down the road I heard a pop and a loud grinding sound. I pulled over to check and was immediately stuck in park (in a turning lane on rt1 with a 4yr old and a 8 month old) even though the car was still in drive. The gear shifter would not come out of park no matter what you shifted to, they just flashed. I got the vehicle towed to a shop because I couldn't get ahold of anyone at
... the dealer. After describing to them what happened and a little research on their end, they discovered that this matched a recall that ford had already released in 2023 for the plant and year model that my car is. The recal number is 23S05. The warning light states that "park not available" even though it's stuck in park. Unsure why it didn't include my vehicle in the recall but being that im having the same problem as this recall, it should be included. Everything in the recall letter matched what had happened to my vehicle.Read more

On May 26, 2025, after I arrived home and parked my 2025 BMW X3, the vehicle caught fire approximately 30 minutes later. The fire started due to a known recall issue (NHTSA Recall No. 25V202) related to the electrical/starter-generator connection, which can cause overheating and fire. I contacted BMW multiple times before the incident — on April 19, May 9, and May 25 — requesting help to fix
