THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT PLUG ASSEMBLY ON THE 2010 SRX. THE FAULTY PLUG WOULD CAUSE THE LOWBEAM HEADLIGHTS TO NOT FUNCTION. THE PLUG WOULD ALLOW FOR THE HIGH BEAMS TO WORK PROPERLY BUT THE PLUG WOULD NOT ALLOW THE HALOGEN LOWBEAM SAID TO WORK. DAVID TAYLOR SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THIS PROBLEM HOWEVER A FEW YEARS LATER THE LOWBEAM HEADLIGHTS BECAME COMPLETELY INOPERABLE CAUSING THE DRI

I INSISTED OTHERWISE BECAUSE THERE WAS VISIBLE CONDENSATION IN THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY BUT NONE IN THE LOW BEAMS. UNFORTUNATELY THIS SITUATION HAD ME OVER A BARREL BECAUSE THE DRIVER HAD ALREADY BEEN RISKING THEIR LIFE AND OTHER DRIVERS LIVES ON THE ROAD WHILE BEING FORCED TO DRIVE WITH ONLY HIGH BEAMS OR WITHOUT ANY ILLUMINATION OF THE ROAD WAY AT ALL. I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO SPEND 1500 DOLLARS ON HEADLIGHTS. DRIVING ON A LOCAL FREEWAY, MY IGNITION SWITCH TO OFF. I WAS ONLY GOING 55 MPH IN HEAVY TRAFFICE. I WAS ABLE TO PLACE THE CAR IN NEUTRAL & RESTART THE ENGINE, BUT FOR A SHORT PERIOD I WAS WITH LIMITED BRAKING AND STEERING. AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE MENTIONED, I HAD ONLY A SINGLE KEY IN PLACE. NO DAMAGE TO BODY FROM THE INCIDENT. GM HAD A REPRESENTATIVE INSPECT THE CAR AND PULL THE "BLACK BOX" DATA ON OCTOBER 8, 2015. MAXIMUM SPEED DURING THE INCIDENT WAS 38MPH. FIRST IN LINE WHILE STOPPED AT A LEFT-TURN LIGHT ON A CITY STREET. LIGHT TURNED GREEN, BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. MID-WAY THROUGH THE TURN, HEARD A "POP", LOST STEERING CONTROL, AND THE REAR END SPUN CAR INTO THE CURB. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A 4-WHEEL-DRIVE CAR. WHEN THE CAR CAME TO A STOP, THE NOSE OF THE CAR WAS RESTING ON THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE AND WHEEL. THE RIGHT-REAR WHEEL WAS SCRATCHED AND ABRADE
