I BELIEVED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SAME CAR IN THE 2006 CADILLAC STS; THE SHIFT TO PARK ERROR MESSAGE ALSO COMES ON AFTER DRIVING AND UNABLE TO TURN THE UNIT OFF (RED LIGHTS OF COURSE) UNTIL THE BATTERY DIES. I THEN PROCEEDED TO PULL BACK THE CARPET AND FOAM. I FOUND WATER EVERYWHERE. I SUCKED UP ABOUT 2 GALLONS FROM THE FRONT AND BACK SEAT AREAS. WITHOUT PULLING UP THE CARPET YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOW THERE WAS WATER IN THE CAR. I WOULD ASSUME THIS IS ALSO THE REASON MY LIFT GATE WENT OUT ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS THE CAR HAS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE BEING DRIVEN. TWICE WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE CAR LOST ALL POWER, INCLUDING POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, AS I WAS TRYING TO SAFELY GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, ALL THE DASH LIGHTS COME BACK ON, THE RADIO COMES ON AT TOP VOLUME, THE POWER COMES BACK ON. I HAVE ONLY HAD MY CTS FOR A MONTH BUT WHEN BRAKING ON ABOUT THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THE BRAKE PEDAL WILL PUSH BACK AGAINST MY FOOT. THESE HAVE OCCURRED TWICE IN MY DRIVEWAY STOPPING TO BACK INTO MY GARAGE AND ONCE COMING TO A STOP LIGHT.
