... is was due to an injector breaking off inside the engine, sending metal fragments into the camshaft, which subsequently locked the motor. This created an extremely dangerous situation as the vehicle became unresponsive and unstable at high speed. Just two days prior to this incident, the vehicle had been serviced by Quantrell Cadillac in Lexington, KY, where a recall repair involving the engine was performed. Despite that service, a catastrophic failure occurred almost immediately afterward. After the breakdown, Quantrell Cadillac attempted repairs over the course of three weeks. These repairs included replacing the injectors, camshaft, and other components, before eventually replacing the entire long block. However, upon picking up the vehicle, it is exhibiting the exact same failure symptoms again—making a popping noise, stalling the engine, and becoming unsafe to operate. This vehicle is clearly not safe to drive and poses a serious risk to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. There have already been multiple recalls related to this issue, indicating a broader systemic problem. We are requesting the NHTSA’s immediate assistance to investigate this safety issue and help us obtain a replacement vehicle that meets all applicable federal safety standards. This level of repeated engine failure & instability is completely unacceptable for any vehicle—especially one with such recent manufacturer service and recall repairs. The dealership now claims the damage resulted from “stop leak” in the system and refuses warranty coverage. However, stop leak was not used until after the failure occurred, and only as an emergency measure to get the car home safely. The evidence strongly indicates that the failure resulted from the recall service, possibly from improper reconnection or contamination during the repair. Their refusal to acknowledge responsibility leaves me with significant repair costs for a problem that began directly after their mandated safety recall work. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in investigating this case, as the failure appears to be linked to the recall repair and raises concerns of improper procedures during service. There is a known issue with hesitation and hard shifting on my vehicle. According to the gm bulletin that was released I believe in may of 25 my year, make and model has a known issue where the transmission control valve may stick or wear causing jerking and shifting issues and could cause a possible crash. According to the bulletin by gm the fix is to replace the valve cover on the transmission.

WHEN TRYING TO BACK IN GARAGE, TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE AT ALL AND CAN ONLY MOVE FORWARD, AT TIMES, THE NAVIGATION DISPLAY SCREEN WILL TURN OFF OR FREEZE BEFORE OPERATING NORMALLY, AND THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN SQUEEKING EVER SINCE IT WAS DRIVEN OFF THE CAR LOT WHEN PURCHASED NEW; GM SAYS THAT'S NORMAL.

I was on the highway with my family going about 60 mph and my vehicle shut completely off on the interstate. We were almost rearend by a tractor trailer. It did not crank back up either. My 2019 Cadillac Escalade has the same current issues as the 2021 - 2024 6.2 engines that are being recalled right now.

I own a 2022 Cadillac Escalade that is subject to NHTSA ID Number: 25V274000 / GM Recall N252494003 for a potential connecting rod/crankshaft defect in the 6.2L L87 engine. I have contacted my authorized Cadillac dealership (Cadillac Pensacola), Pensacola, Florida Five times by phone (dates:1 July 2025 - 15 August 2025) requesting an appointment for the recall inspection and repair. ... has failed to schedule an appointment or return my calls. This defect poses a serious safety risk due to possible sudden engine failure and loss of motive power while driving. GM’s recall remedy involves inspecting the engine and, if necessary, replacing it. The delay in repair scheduling is preventing me from having the federally mandated safety remedy performed. I am concerned that GM and its dealer network are failing to provide a timely remedy as required by the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. I request NHTSA to investigate this delay and require GM to ensure an immediate repair or alternate remedy (loaner, buyback, or replacement).Read more

Backing out of driveway and screen went black and a collision occurred a second or two later. We have had the Lyriq in the shop multiple times for glitchy screens and screen going black but never has been fully resolved. I did recieve a recall letter (unfortunately I threw it away) but now it shows no recalls (strange). This black screen issue has been a problem since day 1 but now it has resul
... ted in a collision. I have been unable to even back my car out of the garage when raining due to the sensitivity of the collision detect so there is NO excuse that it didn't alert. Cadillac has had the car since the accident and claim nothing is wrong with it and they are not responsible. I do not believe that. I have met with dealership GM who is looking into this further. I wanted to bring to the NTSB as this is 100% a safety concern. Thank God there wasn't a child on a bike or a baby in a stroller behind us. This didn't result in any human harm but the vehicle sustained damage that I believe was the direct result of malfunctioning technology on the car to prevent it.Read more
