I've already addressed what happened to my vehicle and a recall has since been issued in Dec 2023. The problem I have is the recall doesn't address the vehicles that have already failed due to the defective oil pump. Mine failed and totaled my engine leaving me without a vehicle on October 17, 2023. You even state in your description of the safety risk if this were to happen by saying it could
... damage your engine and possibly seize. It needs to be more prominent and highlite the fact that if this happens, your engine is gone, no more engine and no more car. It's more geared to the cars in the recall that haven't had it fail yet! Ford hopes to fix a part in those oil pumps and make it all better. But what about me!! At least everybody else still has a car to drive. I don't. It's gone and I'm still financing it. Ford has repeatedly told me they have no program for me. Nothing they can do. I still am part of that recall and they are breaking the law by not doing something. I need them to replace my car and pay me for everything I've had to incur due to this failure. They have no sense of urgency at all. It doesn't bother them one little bit that people are devastated when something like this happens because how do we get around. How do we get to work. Why can they get away with doing nothing for me and not held responsible. Recalls need to be split when they have vehicles damaged beyond repair for the exact issue the recalls address. They are more for just stating the safety issue if any instead of addressing what happened to each person and how they need to fix it or make it right for the consumer. I'm sick of this and I need to have them make this right.Read more

With this report I am trying to PREVENT an incident from happening. I received the Honda recall notice dated May 2024 for my 2018 CR-V regarding an improperly molded impeller within the fuel pump module. Notice stated "An inoperable fuel pump could prevent an engine from starting, cause a vehicle to lose drive power, or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury". I contacted
... my dealer and was told there literally were no replacement parts anywhere in the United States and none would be available until sometime in the fall. However, if the vehicle should become inoperable (possibly while actually driving it) an order for the part could be requested. Is there any way Honda can be compelled to expedite this process? This is our only vehicle and we frequently need to drive on the very crowded interstate near the Phoenix area. We are hesitant to drive a vehicle we've been told by the dealer has an "increasing risk of a crash or injury".Read more

I may have figured out the common link between Tesla Autopilot crashes. Distracted operators have the accelerator pressed while the TACC is engaged, thinking (for many reasons) that the vehicle will stop if there are any obstacles in front of them. However, when the accelerator is being pressed, the vehicle will not stop. It will happily run into a wall. One second before impact, the forward c
... ollision warning turns on, followed by the ABS and the slamming of the brakes, but by then it's too late for a distracted driver. The raw Tesla "Vehicle Data" on Column D, shows "Accelerator Pedal Position (%)." I strongly encourage you to take a look at the data for the autopilot crashes and review this column to see how many had the accelerator pressed until 1 second before the accident, even if the autopilot was engaged. The 4/25/24 update to Investigation EA22002 states that in 82% of the crashes, the operator did not apply the brake until <1 second prior to impact. Tesla's Director of Autopilot Software Ashok Elluswamy also made a claim that the vehicle can switch pedals if the accelerator is pressed instead of the brake, and that technology saves 40,000 crashes per year: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The letter clearly states the remedy is now available for my vehicle; that an engine compartment fire while parked or driving is the primary risk of the default; and that the recall service will take approximately 1-2 hours. I called two dealerships. Both said Kia won't send them the parts until an inspection has occurred - potentially resulting in
... requiring two different appointments prior to this safety recall being addressed - contrary to the verbatim language in the safety recall. I called Kia's customer service line and they confirmed that although the letter is written as described above, they won't provide parts to service centers until an inspection has been performed. I filed a complaint with them but know it won't matter unless someone with more authority gets involved. Considering this is a genuine life-safety issue - with the risk being a fire to the engine compartment - and the language in the recall notice - that the remedy is now available and the service will take 1-2 hours (no implication of multiple visits/appointments) - I think this is absolutely unacceptable. Someone needs to ensure Kia prioritizes human lives above cost when it comes to safety recalls.Read more

While driving my vehicle it shifts into “park”, not sure if it is an electrical issue, transmission, or breaking issue. I have taken to the dealership for repairs they worked on the driver seat sensors, was at the dealership for 10 days. Three days after repairs the same issue occurred, took back to the dealership and they informed me that they could not recreate the issue(possible electrica
... l issue), the service advisor suggested that I should not move around in the seat while driving to correct the issue. Again about three days later the same issue occurred again, this time in heavy traffic and it was difficult to get into “drive”, I have returned the car back to the dealership. At this time, I asked the service manager to take a ride with me, he seemed very surprised when the issue occurred with him in the drivers seat, he also had a hard time getting the car into drive. This seems like a big safety concern for a vehicle to rear end my car.Read more

While accelerating onto the freeway the vehicle suddenly loses power creating a serious safety issue. A check-engine light comes on but the safefy issue is that the vehicle goes into a power loss mode ON THE FREEWAY. A truck nearly rear-ended me the first time it happened. Toyota Service was unable to duplicate and so said National Toyota advised them to release the vehicle back to me. The same i
... ssue happened to my boyfriend and his son - total loss of power while accelerating onto the freeway. Then a mechanic recreated the issue 5 additional times (usually in the dawn hours when traffic was light due to safety concerns). Was unable to find the cause of the issue but a loss of power in a vehicle is as serious a concern as an unwanted acceleration. I am frustrated that Toyota is not taking this seriously.Read more
